Describe your favorite weapons

So lets talk about the tools of the trade that your Assassins use. Describe your favorite weapons that you use for assassination. If your favorite weapon is something you enchanted describe what its enchanted with.

My favorite weapon is Sithis's Hatred, its a daedric bow enchanted with 10 points damage health for 1 second, 25 points fire damage for 1 second, 2 seconds of soul trap and 20 points of weakness to poison for 25 seconds. It may only have 18 shots out of a full charge but when used with Azura's star its not a problem.

The biggest most badassest bow that I can get my hands on with the biggest most badassest poison that alchemy can craft. Long ranged one-hitters left and right. They never even see me. I usualy just use the best sigil stone I can find for an enchantment. It's usualy kind of out of my way to do that much of the mage's guild.

My preferred method of assassination depends on which character I'm playing.

Drehdwyn (female Bosmer Reaper) prefers to assassinate up close and uses a dagger called Haelia Naga (Ayleid for "Terrible Death" ). Haelia Naga is so heavily enchanted that it takes a Grand Soul gem to recharge it after a single use. The enchantment (made with http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=33279): Fire,Frost & Shock damage 50 pts for 3 seconds, Damage Health 50 pts for 3 seconds, Drain Speed 100 pts for 1 second, & Soul Trap for a total enchantment cost of 1582. But she only uses that when she has an empty Black Soul gem, so she can use her victim's own soul to recharge it. Otherwise, she'll use a poisoned dagger enchanted with elemental damage and/or drain/damage health.

Dirdin (male Bosmer Assassin) uses arrows poisoned with what she calls the Blood of Sithis: Damage Health 8 pts x 30 sec + Fire 9 pts x 37 sec + Frost 9 pts x 38 sec for a total of 915 points of damage. Needless to say, his targets die in agony.

Dreloth Vandaal (male Dunmer War Mage) uses various spells for this, some of which he learned from Spell Tomes. His favorite is Touch of Death: Drain Health 250 pts x 3 sec on touch (learned from the Touch of Death spell tome).

I havent gone so far as to be able to enchant stuff with bows and arrows, but I knowit is going to be daedric bow and arrows with a mix of drain speed, paralysis and weakness to poison. After I figure out what I can actually do with alchemy poisons, i will get the combo straight.

i like the one-hit dagger approach very much, and i'd use it IF there were some short blade skill that were linked to agility / speed. i dislike the idea of 'finesse' kinds of weapons being tied to strength.

At the moment with Anna its fists, and you can roleplay many kill ideas with your bare hands, feet, knees, elbows, tail, nails, talons, teeth, tongue, imaginary punch daggers, or shoulder / armour spikes.
Its just a pity that all but three of her murders have been in self defence against guards and have ago heros.

Short blades I would say are the most common idea of assassination, and can be poisoned too, especially for the DB, but are the most common weapon in Oblivion, which is off putting for me.
Bows I stopped using them due to finding it a bit too easy for how I wanted to play, O'boy Acadians buffy's going to hate me now..
I just meant that I grow bored without the cut and thrust, jab and parry of combat that is getting close striking quickly, then evading brings with melee assassinations.

1. If in or near a town: Wait until the target walks by a guard, then cast a frenzy spell on the target. He will commit 'suicide by guard'. You can even chat with the guard as you loot the body.

2. If not near a town: Most everyone sleeps. . . . Reverse pickpocketing a zero weight hood enchanted with damage. They wake up, don the hood and before long, die.

3. The more direct approach: Use a command humanoid spell and have the target report for death. You get up to three assaults before they normally turn on you. Cast a weakness to poison spell and nick them with a very strong poison. Once the command spell wears off, you can chat with them until the poison kills them.

Drehdwyn, Dirdin and Dreloth will have to try these out. :foodndrink:

 I just realized the names of all my assassin characters start with "D".

Something really big and really heavy. Camarilla's current concept of 'assassination' is bludgeoning someone to death. She hasn't yet been in a situation where anyone who witnessed the fight needed to live to tell the tale.

The most common way I'll assassinate someone is with a frenzy spell but that gets boring and too easy after a while so I just use a blade

Any reliable bow and arrow will do. Not iron though, I need something that can go long distances.. anything Silver and up.

A perfect assassination is a very long range bow shot. You need an enchanted daedric bow with the enchants being elemental damage very high (all you need is one shot, so go crazy with the damage) an enchanted daedric arrow, strong poison hehe. For an example, read acadian's buffy journal where buffy assassinates earana

1. Bow of Hatred (Deadric with 35 fire dam) with enchanted arrow (soul trap or elemental damage) and poisoned

2. Ebony dagger with moderate health damage enchantment plus poison of paralysis. I always sneak and strike in the back. The speed of the dagger combined with the potion of paralysis allows me to hit repeatedly and quickly before my victim can react. They are usually dead before the paralysis wears off.

3. Poison apple--I like the idea of this but unfortunately it is unreliable because too many of the npc's never eat.

I prefer an ordinary arrow tipped with an ordinary poison, or poisoned apples. If you get to fancy, it narrows down the possible numer of suspects. But iirc poisoning arrows for hunting is common practice, and a commoner would be expected to only really be using iron or steel arrows. The bow isn't as important, whatever bow you like with whatever enchantments you like, as it disappears with the assassin.
