Australian Bungalow style, originally built in the 1930s, expanded in the 1980s and 1990s, has a pool, a front yard surrounded by a wall, nice garden, 4 or 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen/dining/living room all in one.
It will be an ornate manor overlooking an area http://img.xcitefun.net/users/2010/08/211004,xcitefun-canadian-rockies-1.jpg. It will be made of stone and will house everything from my library, to my armory, to my horses (in the stables). I'll have a dog named Ariona and will reside here with my character's girlfriend and fellow adventurer.
I'd like a log longhouse with a living area at one end and a forge, workbench and grinding wheel at the other. It would need to be rural, i.e. close to the natural resources that I require to make my weapons and armour, but not so far from a city or trade route that it becomes a major headache to sell my wares. I think somewhere just outside one of the minor settlements would be ideal for my purposes.
Of course that's quite a lot to ask... I fully expect I will have to mod it in myself.
i will set my camp beside a flowing river, it will have a quaint little tent, a firepit big enough for a small group of people to share, a log bench set up for any passers-by, and a trap set up to make noise should anything try to sneak up on me in m sleep. home sweet home
