Use to be that no one seemed to want Rp a character over twenty, but I can see we've gotten over that.

I much prefer to RP as someone over 30 in most cases. Gives you a chance to create a character that isn't all fresh faced and straight out of boot camp.

I completely agree. I think people like to Rp people that are a close description to themselves. Hence why most people post young, Caucasian, males. I'm pretty flexible, though no matter how hard I try I don't think I can Rp a female, just makes me feel uncomfortable.

The reason I play young is because younger people make more stupid mistakes (Not that ill make THAT many..). Which gives me a chance to develop my character.

I don't know.. I guess that's just my style.

Haha, yeah. Well I tend to RP as someone older than myself. Probably because I'm quite mature for my age. I never tend to go for the strangest/most out there characters that are clearly very unique. I prefer to go with your average sorta guy but with a few twists, try to keep things down to earth. Never been much of a fan of playing as weird races in games too. Mostly prefer to stay human.

I believe I'm quite mature for my age also, but every year I look back, I just seem foolish to myself. I think a ghoul would be the only weird race I'm comfortable with, considering how humanoid they are.

@Dawn, I know what you mean. The first time I Rped I was I made a young, I think seventeen year old, kid. I made it so he was overly excited, constantly made mistakes, and often foolishly put himself in danger. But I can not in good faith call myself and expert mercenary, technician, engineer, surgeon, at the age of 17. I do not want to claim to be a prodigy.

Well I usually fall into the caucasian & male demographic - so yeah, out of my "comfort zone" with this character to say the least.

Well, I salute you then. Your A stronger man than I I'm. Also I'm thinking this is going to be a little rocky with all these people in this Rp or is that just me.

Well it can go either one of two ways with this many people; either everyone chips in regularly and gets along fine or people don't post and the pace breaks down.

That really grinds my gears when people opt in to an RP but then can't commit - well, if they don't say they can't commit and leave everyone hanging whilst we wait for their next post. If you can't give the time then just say, so we can erase your character and get on with it!

You can put that in the thread in the community discussion. As for the sign up, wow so many people, quite a response. I guess we just wait on fate now. If you're wanting to still sign up you better make it quick because today is saturday and that means FOF could come on and start this when ever. Although I'm not 100% sure how many Rp'ers FOF is willing to take on.

Yeah, I bet you anything that one dude drops out. I'm very loyal to an Rp and I'll stick with it until nobody posts anymore (e.g Ground Zero).
I usually Rp characters around about the age of 19-24, the reason I do that is because I'm age 15 in real life and it feels wrong for me to pretend if I'm age 30 or something. I prefer being one guy with something he excels in but isn't a very good fighter and is quite scared. But hey, that's just my opinion.

I think I find it easy to RP as a guy over 30 as tbh I think I'll be a similar sort of person when I reach that age. I hope this RP doesn't go into rocky waters as it seems like a good chance to get some interesting RP going.

I'm pretty sure everybody who's submitted a Character Sheet so far will be in. Seems we have a good diverse mix of characters aswell. I've never roleplayed a Ghoul before, but to be fair I've never been in a Fallout RP on this site before either but I used to be a member of a RP Site a while back, so I shouldn't be too rusty.
On the topic of Male-Cauc's, I normally go with older characters, ususally mid 30's - early 40's. It sorta forces you into thinking about their history and personality more.
I'm looking forward to playing the 'bad-guy' in this though. I don't often opt for mean characters. I'm looking forward to it. :goodjob:

I like to stay within my comfort zone of Male Caucasian, Irish, age usually being 25-35 but more so 26, 27, 28. Its just the way I play, I've played a ghoul once though because it was an all ghoul RP :P Never played a woman, to me it would just be strange and I wouldn't feel right. No clue why, I just like playing someone as close to myself as possible.

Yeah, Now that I think about it, there's not been too many Rp that I've been in with ghouls, people are afraid to be ugly I suppose.

@Ian, I completely understand, I'm young myself but Rping as some one older than me doesn't bother because I should end up their someday, I'll never end up as different gender though, well I hope not at least.

EDIT: That's was rude, I apologize.

I was hoping it was going to be today, I'm eventually going to have to work on my three part Spanish final, which will probably take most of tomorrow.

Well. I was hoping for it to start soon.
Though I'll probably be a bit rusty. Obviously I've Role-played before, it's just been a long time.

So far I'm pretty excited for everything. Everyone's character is in they're own way unique, should be quite the Role play :celebration:

Good luck! I have a History exam on Wednesday and a Biology exam on Thursday. After that, all my exams will be finished! :spotted owl: (no idea why I chose that emotion)
I hope this Rp is up today, I'm in the Rp mood right now lol.

Same pal, I've got a Russian History exam on wednesday aswell, definitely not a plus point of the week. I'm trying to cancel out revision with Red Dead Redemption and lots of forum browsing.
Resigning to failure isn't the best option, but it's always a fun one. :celebration: Best of luck to ya though.

I'm hoping it will start either today or tomorrow aswell, I'm gonna be a fair bit busy on Tuesday, unfortunately. But ah well...

Hey guys, sorry I've kept you waiting but unfortunately this thing called "Red Dead: Redemption" svcked me into it and I've been stuck in there for awhile.

I'm hoping to start up tomorrow, so keep an eye out for the new thread.

Wait until everyone works out how to use Deadeye and shoot for the head - then it might even out a bit. I swear some people think I'm cheating, being able to reload a bolt action in less than half a second. Either that or Lee Harvey Oswald.

Anyway, lets keep the thread clean from Red Dead chat shall we?
