Assassin's Creed 4. Before that game came around, an open world piracy game was my "dream game." It was nearly everything I wanted, too.

I'm not a fan of those games but would you recommend it solely based upon an open world pirate thing? Does it play more like the parkour assassin thing like the previous titles or more of the pirate thing?

I don't think so. Shame too, because it doesn't sound like a bad idea for a game like Destiny. You'd think Bungie would have thought so as well after Halo, which made for some awesome split screen fun.

While it was the most fun I had in a First Person Shooter game, I am not sold on it. I guess it's just not my cup of tea.

Only thing I can say now if only The Elder Scrolls was like this then there would be something to get excited for. Sadly ESO is a disappointment and I will never buy and MMO game again. Seeing how Destiny is almost like an MMO, hybrid MMO or what ever you want to call it, I am very leary of getting it now because I do see how it is like ESO bait.

Haha, Thanks. Finally got GTA V and Trevor is [censored] awesome.

I agree. Would've been great for some offline MP like halo.

:thanks:

 That's cute.

-----------------------------------------

I'm sold on the game. The lore behind it all has got me interested. Plus, Warlock-facepalming melee is best.

It's what you make of it. You can sneak around and run across the rooftops if you want, or you can wade into battle swinging steel and iron. There are some tailing missions and the like, but most stealth can be circumvented.

My very favorite class. The melee power is worlds better than the other two in my opinion.

ooo. I like the titan, but I think it is only useful in CQB power-wise. I might end up playing a Hunter if I like it's recharge and ability more.

The ability in the beta really seemed to be more of a panic button to me. When you're staring down a Knight and six Acolytes, it'll buy you some breathing room. The throwing knife is my favorite thing about the class though. It's satisfying and doesn't fire if the enemy is in range of your basic melee, something I didn't like about the Titan's über punch. If I need to run up on a Dreg and put him out without wasting a shot or ability, I can do it without throwing the knife. If he's running up on me while I'm reloading, I can knock him to his ass from afar. It's more flexible.

How does the sneaking and sniping aspect of this game perform? I didn't get to try beta :( So I'd like to know because if I do end up getting this I will play as a sniper

Sniping is really good. The rifles are powerful. As far as sneaking, there isn't anything to it besides staying out of enemy line of sight.

ha I agree, I fell in love with him the moment he came on screen....especially since I couldn't stand Johnny Klebitz.

My Trevor looks the same as your avatar, I snapped a couple of Trevor selfies messing around last night trying to make him look smashed: http://prod.cloud.rockstargames.com/ugc/gta5photo/7436/slzOBJFqm0mOccOINU9SEQ/0_0.jpg , http://prod.cloud.rockstargames.com/ugc/gta5photo/3564/HTO2FRXwikal6BZAG0K4XA/0_0.jpg

Did you get it on 360?

I was wrong, it's the Ghost Edition that's rare which has the same stuff as the LE plus it comes with a Ghost replica.

I might have to check it out but the Warlock melee is good as you unlock the ability to get speed boosts and some health when you melee. What does the Hunters do beyond a throwing knife? There's a couple of unlocks for each melee.
The Hunters special ability, is it a special Hand Cannon? If so then that might sway me.

Is this game worth the buy on release day? Or should I wait. (Xbox 360)

The graphics aren't great but the gameplay seems solid and fun if you're seeking a FPS with some RPG elements (character skills, equipment, etc.) I might treat myself to a day one release as it's a few days before my birthday and I enjoyed the time I spent with the beta. The only thing that makes me want to wait is if they'll let us go somewhere besides Russia on release, I know the Moon is probably another spot but having 6 missions all in the same map on Russia was kind of weak.

Yeah Haggar, it's a hand cannon. I don't know about the later unlocks for the Hunter melee, I split up my time between all three classes.

You can use a sniper rifle on any class, just decide which one has the powers you want.

Sniper rifles are "Special Weapons" along with Shotguns and Fusion Rifles. I prefer a Fusion Rifle as my secondary on all classes. What shotguns and sniper rifles to is obvious, but fusion rifles are different. They're a weapon that you hace to charge up, and when fired they emit a long burst of laser beams. Good for wipinf out single enemies at close range

Primary Weapons come in four shapes. Hand Cannons, Pulse Rifles, Auto Rifles and Scout Rifles. Pulse rifles fire bursts, auto rifles are are automatic and scout rifles are semi automatic.

There were two types of heavy weapons in the Beta, rocker launchers and light machine guns. In the game, you can carry one of each.

Each class has a "Super Charge," a special ability that can be used rarely but to great effect. Hunter gets a Hand Cannon with three shots, and each shot can can kill pretty much anything with one hit. The Warlock gets a "Nova Bomb" which is a sphere of energy that is launched and detonates on impact. It can clear a room. Titan gets a ground pound move that is effective and self explanatory.

Melee is different for each class as well. Hunter gets a combat knife that can be thrown, Warlock gets an energy blast and Titan just punches the hell out of things. The Warlock and Titan melee gain damage and decrease grenade recharge when upgraded if I remember correctly. I didn't like either of them very much.

I'll have to give the Hunter a proper go after release and see if I like them better then Warlocks as I just looked up their abilities and there's some things that I like. Bah why can't there be hybrid classes :P

Snipers are secondary weapons that only hold about 15-20 bullets on average, you could make that work as a primary weapon but they're not designed to be. During the beta I was using a Warlock with a Hand Cannon for a primary weapon and a sniper for a secondary and I was doing great but those weapons seem better suited for a Hunter. The snipers are pretty powerful, I use them on larger enemies or the occasional enemy sniper Vandal. There's no true stealth but if you're far enough away then chances are the enemies won't see you or shoot back in your direction when you snipe them.
