You guys know nothing of the hatred I have for RNGesus.

I've run the raid around 12 times (8 on Normal, 4 on Hard) and still only have one piece of Raid armour. My friend has run it twice and both times got a piece. The loot system in this game is a freaking joke!

I ran through the Nightfall with this same friend just beforehand. I get 130 kills to his 50-odd. I get rewarded with a legendary Scout Rifle (well done Bungie, I've already got Vision of Confluence so all other Scout Rifles are pointless) and what does he get? Gjallarhorn!

I know the system is random and not based on any kind of skill, but I keep getting screwed over by RNGesus. Hell, last night in the Raid I got:

Atheon's Epilogue (already got)

pvssyrwhite (already have like 6 of these)

Around 20 Ascendant Shards

Not funny anymore.

Well I've run it 4 times now, with 2 of those times beating it. I've got 3 pieces of Raid armor. Just need 1 more. Can you only get the helmet on hard?

I hate you!

Yeah, the helmet only drops from Atheon on Hard Mode - grab yourself an Exotic helmet if you want to hit 30 sharpish, as it has a drop rate of around 13% IIRC.

Thanks. I have a fully upgraded chest piece and I'm working on the Raid greaves now. 3 pieces of Raid and 1 Exotic can get you to 30 right?

Yup. You need 120 light to hit Level 30. Each piece of raid gear (fully upgraded) will give you 30. So full raid gear will hit 30. But exotics also give 30 light, so you can swap a piece of raid gear out for that.

The only items that drop on hard are Fatebringer which ive now got and praedyths timepiece and i got fatebringer from beating the templar and i got well had 3 pieces of raid gear 4 raid weapons well 5 now and i got all the armour on normal without even having to beat atheon.

Really? Well I'll try on Normal again next week and see what drops I get. Still haven't gotten any Raid weapons.

Ok so the public voice chat beta will be added on Monday! There is also mention of the new improved Iron Banner event. As well as some "secret" addition for expansion pass/dark below owners. (seems like a sparrow(s) of some kind)

I just purchased the expansion pass as well. The game has it's problems but i enjoy it all the same.

I got one from the daily. Called Strange Suspect I think? I don't use pulse rifles so I dismantled. I always pray for an exotic.
