Destructable environment a no go?

Haven't heard that Creation Kit will feature destructable environments, like in Battlefield: Bad Company for example. I take it this won't be ominent in Skyrim.

Well destructible environments wouldn't work other than with powerful magic spells but we will be able to chop down trees with woodcutting. Also Skyrim is a huge game world and they won't be able to add destructible environments to everything if they did which would make some areas feel awesome while others feel bland compared to the destructible environment areas.

There won't be completely destructable enviroments, though I think trees can fall and burn, while snow can melt and stuff...

Nuh-uh, destructable environments in a persistent world with at least some out-of-area processing are a lot heavier than in an enclosed, instanced map, and as such, consoles won't do it.

Even that sounds unlikely.

Well, in the GI issue was told that Dragons could destroy an entire town... But we don′t know how far is that "destruction"...

And... we can chop wood, right? Dont remember if it was confirmed, but if so... maybe some breakable trees?

This whole environment burning doesn't extend to burning down trees i think it's like the effect shown in the trailer ie. fire on the object.
This is the quote this idea has stemmed from i think

"If you're wielding the flame spell like a flame thrower, the environment will catch fire for a short while and burn anything that comes into contact with it."

To me that just suggests a fire effect on the object and burning any animal etc. that comes into contact with it. So nothing to suggest destructible environments in my opinion.
