Destruction and Graphics in earlier builds are better

They can add new textures first. Better Physics can also be patched in. Remember UT3 didnt support Physx , and it was later patched in.
The video also shows the pillars being destroyed by gunfire like matrix

Crytek does not own FC IP anymore. They sold it to UBisoft

I didn't post this as a PC elitist whine thread, I posted it to showcase what we can expect in a patch. They don't have to rebuild the game to add in these features, just re-enable them. I'm guessing they implemented these features, but they were too buggy to be released with the game and had to be disabled for a later date. There's no realistic reason why Crytek would just withhold these features from PC gamers, if they had enough time to polish it.

@ocstew:
That would be great. But I am still unsure, why should they enable that?

What do you meant why SHOULD they? Because they can, and it should be easy to. A large improvement for a little work and it'll please people who said Crysis 2 is consolized.

The main damn reason it isn't like that is because they didn't want the game to be a freaking tech demo like the first game. I mean c'mon, the single player campaign is by far the best I've played in a long time. When you put it on supersoldier its pretty good! The story is alright, but the single player was better than Halo : Reach hands down! I don't even play multi-player really, but I love to play that single player. It would be cool if they made Crysis like Rage is going to be like, like an RPG.

Except the thing is Crysis 1 has far better gameplay than either of those games.

You don't take out destruction to increase gameplay quality.

I've seen many videos that show case features that were left out of the full game.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2UCnblmOMY

Go to 1:50, there is actual procedural destruction of the tiles, rather than small bits of destruction in the final game.

At 1:17 the small trees can be cut down until in the full game.

In this PS3 video at 1.23 you can see big trees being cut down, just like the palm trees in Crysis 1. In the full game, big trees are completely static yet in this hacked version the feature is there.

I've also seen things like tesselated ocean rendering that is also left out of the game. In this screenshot the caption says "Extreme Spec" even though in the full game you still have crappy console water.

Seems like we have a big DX11 patch upcoming if Crytek are serious with their, "making full use of DX11" comment. And even if they aren't we'll still get this since these are plain DX9 features.

I hope we will get these features shown in this videos...

Instead we get a worse game with slightly better graphics.

Slightly better graphics? Even Vanilla Crysis looks better than Crysis 2. Fiddle with the cfg (omg, that's modding! I mean you edit a text file with notepad!) and the difference increases.
