Details on the ground

1st post...newly here after years in Oblivion. I have to ask: what's everyone's take about a piece of trash that's everywhere: yellow booklet(?) with a black silhouette of a woman's face? Had to have been carried/dropped by countless DC residents...was it a flyer announcing a concert? Tell-all about an actor? Product coupon??? Promo for a brothel? What's your take?

LOL. I have to look for this. I will probably be able to play some tomorrow. Might get some in tonight when I get home from work and finish doing some stuff around the house.

btw ghouls....read some threads about Vegas, I'll eventually get around to it(like to wait for thorough patching)....saw some of your comments....not feeling the game huh?

Doesn't sound like there's enough action or little interesting things to wander and find....that's a damn shame

Vegas is an okay game but it's not a great game, imo. It's definitely not a Bethesda (or even Rockstar) game. There are lots of quests and plenty of people to talk to but few enemies to fight and little to discover. I once walked for an hour and found nothing. No enemies, no loot, no skeletons, not even an empty bottle. The little details that Bethesda specializes in is glaringly absent. I finished the game in 70 hours and the last 40 hours I was just dragging things out, trying mods and looking for anything fun. I came back to Fallout 3 and am having a blast again :)

Back aboard the topic train:
If that yellow thing is a crushed box, what could have been in it? A different brand of detergent? Powdered shampoo? Pantyhose? Hair nets?

Yeah...bethesda and rockstar....i love games that have nice big sandbox worlds full of interesting things to find and action while you're wandering. I would've liked the same thing with just a different setting. I really didn't want a game that walks me through a story and has me running errands between big empty spaces. I want to wander and find cool [censored] while I'm running from or chasing after baddies. I played and loved the original games FO1&2, when they came out and that's why I was psyched about fallout 3, but not because i wanted the old games....they are ancient. I just wanted "the atmosphere" and liked the idea bethesda was behind it....I like bethesda's style(even with the flaws) and thought they did a great job of keeping that retro-future apocalyptic atmosphere and doing it in bethesda's fun wanderfest-type land of nuggets style.

I didn't expect or want a 3d port of fallout 2 which vegas kinda sounds like. I'm sure it's good in it's way, that way, but I love 'playing FO3....it's fun without being tedious. Vegas sounds a bit tedious, but I'll check it out anyway. At least it looks like the oldskool [censored] of 1&2 love it :twirl: .....that vegas section on these forums is pure 'glorification inc.' lol

Ok....I'm done hijacking this thread....sorry

That yellow box is 'human crackers'.....like animal crackers but for ghouls :P

edit: the word "fan - boys" is censored???
