I don't actually like Battlefield ... but meh. Point for you, Sir.

Not perfect by far.... they went backwards in a lot of ways from earlier titles in the pursuit of frostbite and mass market appeal

Not for everyone though....obviously

Yes, I am a PC (only) player and I don't really want to derail this thread.

So in short: I guess one of the main reasons why I don't like Battlefield, or Call of Duty, or Medal of Honor is, that there's almost no customisation, but also too generic gameplay (MW2 has the climbing, at least).

Brink will have a rather free movement (SMART), large scale customisation (Characters + Weapons) and a rather unique setting. If it were a 3rd-Person shooter, too, it would probably be the game I ever wanted to see.

Both of the "snipers" in the game were against lights already in firefights and against bots, plus for videos like this they turn on god mode and set things up so that they can get good video for dev diaries and ads, rarely will they shoot the developers just randomly playing.

It didn't go backwards, it did exactly what it was meant to do, be a sequel to the first bad company, a game with battlefield style maps and objectives, albeit a less organized version of them.

Wow, looks like the game is really fleshing out. Unfortunately it looks like i'm likely deploy to probably japan before its released, but i'll be sure to have it brought out there. I'm buying a new laptop just to play it, and i see now its gana be well worth it.
