I for one, won't want to say too much if I was a developer, anyone I said could be a flame bait.

Did you get that sentence from Google Translate or something? :geek:

The Devs do check the forums from time to time (Hey there's Dan). The reason you don't really see them in here as often is because they're making the game, NDA's (I bet Todd has one) and they probably don't want to risk giving up info because somebody could be having a bad day and they might just say "You know what screw it (Certain Skill or feature) is in the game, there are you happy now". They might do that but Beth might not be ready to release that info yet.

FONV btw have the best writing, characters, and (most) voice acting to date, imho. Combined with hardcoe mode, faction and reputation system, and proper gun sights, makes it the better game of the two.

F:NV was a professionally produced total conversion for FO3. When all you have to do is create the content to an already established game engine then focus on that tends to be pretty high. Not detracting from JES's and Obsidian's talents but if they had to build the engine too, I seriously doubt it would have came out so rounded.

Good!!...Now that we have your attention, here's our list of demands.

The greatest minds of this community came together to come up with a list of ideas that will be sure to make Skyrim infinitely better...

Here we go...

demand # 1...let's see here...spears...well that's reasonable, I suppose.

demand # 2...hmmm?...ahem...well what do you know, spears once again...how creative.

demand # 3...oh are you kidding me...I won't say it...I just won't!

Community(whispering): "say it"

I will not!

Community(whispering): "oh just say it already what can it hurt!"

Fine!

demand # 3...
Spoiler
the community would like giant crossbows that levitate and shoot...what else but...spears :shakehead:

Seriously though, keep up the good work.

Just check out the Bioware forums for Dragon Age for instance...you will see a Night and Day difference

Different companies handle their PR and community interaction differently. It has nothing to do with the quality of the final game, or which development team is better... its just preference. I've followed gamers where the devs are on the forum almost every day and the game svcked, and other games where you never hear from the devs yet the final game contained a community wish list of features.

If your assuming the developers ignore the forum because they are not active on it, your almost certainly dead wrong. They just don't come here and post for the hell of it, and let the PR department handle info release... thats all.

You all do realize that if you sign in as anonymous, no one can tell you're here, right? Doesn't stop you from reading. Or replying, if you feel like it.

The devs were here a lot pre-Oblivion. They would discuss what they could about the game *as it existed at that time". When things had to be changed later, people were upset because they thought everything the devs said was engraved in granite. They kind of disregarded the "until the game goes gold everything is subject to change" thing. Just like people disregarded the "this is a demo of the whole game in 20 minutes" demo for the E3 demo and complained that the whole game wasn't like the demo.

I'm actually disappointed that they didn't fulfill my daydream and hold off until the game went gold to announce it. ::heads off to check another flying long bearded spear and crossbow wielding spell creating immersive trolley-pulling rideable dragon thread::

Well with this thread we've spotted two posting directly and one seen elsewhere in the Skyrim forum.
I'm going to start a Dev watching log, and try to cross off as many as possible if they post outside of the "Meet the Devs"...
I wonder if they lay eggs, or have colourful plumage.

Though as posted, they're working and they can't keep releasing info just for the sake of it.

Frankly I do not see why Todd Howard cannot insist that his staff spend at least 15 to 30 minutes every day with fans in the forum.

I can spend those 15 to 30 minutes here or fixin' crash bugs. It's your choice, Buster Brown. :P

Ironically enough, the devs and staff shouldn't have posted in the thread, for the very simple reason that they've just fed the troll.

Now that people know that all they need to do to gain attention is to criticize the staff's involvement in the threads, it's going to happen again, and again, and again...

This just in, there are crash bugs in Skyrim....<> and apparently, nwah has been displaced by the more despicable Buster Brown!

For those that weren't here for MW or Oblivion, as we get closer to release date, the devs will frequent the boards and give little tidbits here and there. I think it's just way too early to have that expectation now.
