I'm encountering an annoying problem with my pc at the minute. Some games (DA:O, DA2, Risen) I'm having no problems with, others (The Witcher & COD) crash with this message displayed:

"Display Driver NVLDDMKM stopped working and succesfully recovered"

I've done a google search, and there are thousands of posts going back to 2007 with this same problem, yet no solutions! Obviously it's the Nvidia card, but I'm just looking for a way to fix this.

Anybody else had this problem? Did you find a solution, or do I just forget about certain games until I buy a different graphics card?

Any help appreciated.

Yep, and it's a problem with ATI too. I was getting it every time I rebooted and it would happen from the desktop or web browser, not just games. I tried all the tricks including registry changes and nothing worked until I began using AMD's 11.2 driver. Now it's just an occasional thing. It looks to me like MS made the parameters too tight and I think the fix has to come from them, if only they'd admit to it being a problem. :shakehead:
