Devise your own Vault Experiment.

Actually that's a good point, If these vaults were supposed to be social experiments, then shouldn't they have some sort of camera system inside to that the enclave can see what's going on, or something?

Who say they haven't? And the overseer is supposed to write reports on the experiments progress. But I think the point of the experiments is to see how well the vault goes, not to get any actual data

I wasn't suggesting they don't have secret cameras or whatnot, it's just a point which suddenly struck me.

To see how it goes, you need data. You can't have an experiment without data collection, if not, then it's pointless. That the chief reason for overseer I believe. Relay data per instruction.

Plus, in a large majority of cases the Overseer is completely content and determined to do his assigned job-which often involves helping continue or advance in the experiment a vault is in. They seem to do it with blind loyalty to Vault-Tec. Never fully understood the reasons for that one, but yeah. x]

True, true.

What I never got was why the Overseers comming after the original one continued with the experiment. There has to be someone who said:
"They can't be serious! No-way am I doing this"
Computer: "*Beep* Continue with the experiment or you will be attached to another object by an incline plane, wrapped helicly around an axis"

(Let's see who gets the joke :))

Vault # A vault populated with nothing but left handed people and everything is for right handed people.

Vault # all floors are slanded.

Vault # A vault were the people are all called Dave even if their name is not Dave. Overseer is a computer that shocks anyone that does not call someone by the name Dave. They only get four hours sleep a day and one meal.

Within 25-30 years, if that, everyone is dead or dying

The Vault-Tec Water Purifier will allow your vault to take polluted or irradiated groundwater and convert it into safe, clean drinkable water for all Vault dwellers to enjoy for decades to come*

*Water Purifier's working condition may vary from as described, time scale as described in the introduction may also be subject to variation.

Engrish Version:

To take water purifiers Borutotekku groundwater contamination or exposure you safe for all to enjoy for decades to come will be able to convert Vault safe, clean drinking water to residents

* may differ from those described working conditions of water purifiers, according to the time scale is introduced as may be susceptible to change.

Vault 90: Musical experiment. A vault filled with all kinda of musical instruments, 300 teenagers who are obsessed with music (But most who are inexperienced making music) Plus their parents who aren't all as enthusiastic about music. The vault has one concert hall and each concert is broadcast over the entire vault regardless of time. Also, Nobody can play a musical instrument without it being broadcast except when someone is either in a practice space or repair station where the instrument does not send out a signal except to an amplifier if desired. Musical instruments are also designed to break a couple times each year but are repairable at a repair station. No professional repairmen are in the vault but all the knowledge, tools and resources to repair the instruments are available.

Vault 26: 1 man, 500 Mister Handy's, 499 Mister Gutsy's, all painted the same.

Sounds an awful lot like that Star Trek episode that features Mudd for the second time.

1. Not even an anorexic supermodel could squeeze through those measurements. Not to mention that the vault would be nigh impossible to build
2. Most vegetarians will eat meat if they have nothing else to choose from.
3. The point of that being?
4. Population would either A. ban target practise or B. Everyone would be dead within a month. EVERYONE misses from time to time.
5. Again, the point being?

How is the computer programmed to find this answer and how many people are in this vault?

Vault (whatever number): Johnny Guitar is played on the loudspeakers 24/7 on a loop in every room and an armor containing 1000 guns with one round in each pistol. Those who survive 2 years without killing themselves get to leave the Vault forever.

Could YOU survive in there for 2 years? :spotted owl:

Because it plays over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and OVER again, also, it's not that good, it's too damn slow and quite frankly it doesn't fit. "King of the Road" on the other hand would have fitted perfectly...

Only because there are 5 songs on Mojave Music, I will admit that the others songs don't grate the nerves much when repeated but it's not that bad, if there were a few more songs in the MM playlist...

Well that's why I only turn the radio on when I've done a quest to heard Mr New Vegas' take on the situation. Apart from that, I turn it off for most of the time and listen to my iPod playlist; nothing is better than killing Legionaries while listening to "Die Walküre" :hubbahubba:
