Vault 18 - A vault that only had technology and books from the 1800s. It was intended to stay closed for 300 years.

Vault 45- A vault that had a plumbing system that was intended to fail in 3 months, and was given no tools, plumbers or robots.

Vault 57- A vault that had a faulty door that would open and close randomly.

Vault 5. The worst known death row inmates of the time leading up to the great war. They were all given fake executions and secretly taken to Vault 5. The vault was also populated with some of the most well known anti-war peaceful pacifists in the nation.

Vault 69- Giggity giggity giggity, alright! I'm thinking false birth control, plus aphrodisiacs and fertility drugs in all the water and food. Meant to study the consequences of population explosions in confined spaces. Maybe the Enclave triggers it to open at some point.

One telivision with subtitles in the 50 different languages the vault dwellers speak(5 channels). A recorded tape running through every speaker in the vault that says "the cake is a lie" every 15 seconds and "It's over 9,000 every 10. One Pistol that has one round. There are 49 boxes each containing one round. The first box opens one year after the pistol box is open. Each box opens one by one for the next 49 years, one box each year.

A double vault. The outer vault is unfinished, just a serried of very large caverns, but all life support and surveillance is 100% functional. It has plenty of spare parts and chemicals and so on. It is however populated with people that have at best a high school education, and for the most part is unskilled labor. The group has no overseer.
The inner vault is fully functional, and is populated with highly skilled and educated people.
The only connection between the two vaults is a one way air lock that allow someone from the inner vault to go out in to the outer vault. Every few years the overseer of the inner vault chooses a few people to send out in the outer vault.
The purpose of the experiment is to se the resulting progress on a low educated group when highly educated people are slowly released in to it. Such as to gauge the of releasing vault dwellers in to the population of wasteland survivors.

Vault 109: No colour at all in the Vault. All books, pictures, video, all in Black and White. The walls, floor and ceiling, all the same shade of grey. All food was a grey nutritional paste which they had a 50 year supply. No plants or animals. Even the Vault suits were a unique grey colour. All paint and art supplies, you guessed it grey. The only colour in the Vault would have been the colour of peoples eyes/hair. The Vault was designed to stay closed for 50 years.

vault 102 - full of extremely poor people , but with only 25% of the total vault limit with 100% resources . The point of this vault is to have few people with a surplus of food , water , etc . more than they are accustomed to .

vault 103 - full of middle class people , with 50% of the total vault limit and 50% the total resources . The point of this is to have middle class people in a full size vault with less resources , but few people to use them .

vault 104 - full of rich upper class people , with 100% the total vault limit and 25% the total resources . The point of this vault is to have the max amount of rich people in a vault with a shortage of resources making them feel poor .

vault 105 - a mixture of all of these , with 75% the total vault limit and 100% the total resources .

Vault 420: A vault full of drug addicts, with no drugs, medicinal drugs, or things that could be used as drugs.

Vault 26: 1 man, 500 Mister Handy's, 499 Mister Gutsy's, all painted the same.

Vault 50: 500 Soldiers, 500 Insurgents, all armed.

Vault 66: 100 people are sent into the vault, which is actually just a door, on the other side is nothing but dirt. The door locks and refuses to open.

Vault 4. A vault big enough to house 3000 people for 20 years. The vault was given a number of weapons. For all intensive purposes it was a normal Vault. People from all walks of society. All forms of ID were taken from them. Any personal family photos taken as well. Ten days after the bombs fell a gas was released throughout the entire vault. This gas erased everyone memories permanently (amnesia gas). Everyone lost their memories of who they are, why and where they are. They even forgot there was even a great war.

All the vital functions of the vault are run by computers and robots that do not respond to the vault dwellers. They just do as they are programmed.

Vault idea 1: A normal "control" vault. Nothing special. But instead of religion, people are told nursery rhymes are real. Will they worship Mother Goose? Humpty Dumpty? Who knows!

Vault idea 2: A vault where religion is to be passed by spoken word. Pick a religion, I don't care which. All members will follow this religion, but will not be able to write at all. After 200 years, what will the religion be?

Vault idea 3: A vault where religion is banned. After the first couple generations die out, there will be no remembrance of any religion. Will this vault strive on science? Will they wonder about the afterlife? Will they still find purpose in life? Will they make their own religion?

Vault idea 4: A vault filled with people, and no right footed shoes. Only left footed shoes. Will their feet adapt? Will 1000 people literally have two left feet?

I'm a religion major, can ya tell?

A vault in wich the dwellers treatend Vault-Tech.
So they have :

- A Robco facility
- "Real" entertaintment, not a few holotapes.
- A democratic choose-the-overseer system
- Dogs,cats
- A private army

And at last. no crazy experiment, stay closed for 200 years, then make a high-priority base.

Vault 22: An experiment with language barriers. Nobody speaks the same language.
Vault 5: Unknown experiment. 30 robots who think they're human, 29 humans that think they're robots, and one human that's deaf and blind.
Vault 31: Musical Chairs experiment. Whoever is still standing when the music stops is executed. However, nobody ever noticed that there are 3 extra chairs.
Vault 9: A Gameshow experiment with the winning prize being the Overseer position.
Vault 13: An experiment with supserstition. Dwellers are chased through ladder-filled cracked hallways by black cats.

vault 66- all the greatest murderers, rapists, phycopaths, and mean teachers, and every degeneric scum of life viewed by normal society was saved in this vault. There are also plenty of drugs, alcohol, weapons , and explosives with no overseer in control. Predicted outcome- a whole chaotic anarchy of death and blood. Results: A post war utopia and society that rivals even the past nations.

vault 96- like vault 69 but reversed to a 1000/1 man to woman ratio, let the birthing wars begin.

vault 42- all the greatest thinkers. philosophers, religious leaders, and scientists sealed a way in a vault till they can input the release code to answer of the meaning of life.

i've been waiting for this

Vault X-Vault X is the most [censored] up vault known to man. (2078)The first inhabitants went crazy and started eating eachother, every one hiding from the other cannibals, then every one goes into the wastes of New York.

(2128) These Inhabitants were people, nice people...untill they found the armory, the people tried for years and years and years to open the armory, people got stressed out and started killing eachother in their sleep, trying to look for a Password to open the [censored] thing all the people died, because the password was left in a room, where 5 deathclaws lived, they were too big to fit through the doors so who ever went down there dies a very painfull death, until one man used his trusty combat knife to kill the deathclaws as they were sleeping,he kept one alive because it was actually nice,so he opened the armory and as he stepped in the armory,2 mines took out both of his legs,he grabbed a 9mm pistol and headed west towards California...needless to say he never made it,his deathclaw ate him as food

(2155) These inhabitants were ghouls...feral ghouls, and only 250 of them. The feral ghouls ate every piece of metal they could find, these ghouls ran only in a pack, untill they found the Armory 10 years later(yes it's hard to find)
the feral ghoul named Jozper went into the armory and ate 500 pounds of C4. 50 years later the ghouls got tired and went back into the wastes,at this time they now had 500 members in their pack.on one friday night they were in the U.N building fighting the BoS and then....the C4 was detonated...it crumbled the U.N building...the detonator was still in the vault...its user is unknown.

(2216) The User of the Detonator is Identified as a member of the NCR who made it to New York to cleer the BoS in the state, He WAS in a large group, the BoS killed all of the Except him,Justin Grenado. He made his escape into the vault, running from the BoS who ran out of Ammunition and Explosives. He seeled the door and made his way to the armory(he could smell weapons from a mile away). He took all of the Weapons and put all them into his office. One day he opened the vault door to do hunt anything that came in.He saw 250 ghouls come in and he nearly pissed himself. He had remember that he had over 1000 pounds of C4 and one day he waited for the ghouls to leave the area around the armory and took 500 pounds of C4 and put in on the floor, one ghoul ate all of it. Justin had'nt found the detonator until 50 years later(he was 20 back when this started) and he looked out of the vault door and noticed alot of BoS soldiers to go into the U.N building(it's my vault i can put in anywhere i want!!) and pulled the detonator out and detonated it.He goes into the city and tries to find the Empire State Building to find a way to contact the NCR.(2216 is when it ends)

(2280) The Last recorded Inhabitants were a bunch of Ex-Vault dwellers involved in Vault 21. All they did was complain that there was'nt any electricity untill they found the power supply...this supply ran on human blood...the vault dwellers were so bored that there wasnt any tv or radio, they finally decided to kill 5 men and 5 women and supply the power it needed.the remaining 2 people were satisfied untill they got hungry....really hungry...one man found his way to the armory and picked up an M1 Garand and shot the other man in the ass 5 times, after all he was'nt going to eat that part...

hoped you like it

Vault 22 - This vault was powered via geothermal vents, but also did not house an air conditioning system. As such the inhabitants live in a constantly hot enviroment, spiking from the low 90s to the scorching 110s. The water supply was also always luke warm, so the inhabitants had no way of cooling off.

Vault 23 - All of the interior doors of this vault had faulty maintenance, causing them to open when a person was five feet away, and close whenever they were close to entering, frustrating the inhabitants.
