Devise your own Vault Experiment.

Post » Wed Mar 03, 2010 8:33 pm

Lots of Vaults were used for nefarious purposes. In Vault 92, they tried to drive people with sound waves. In 87, they created Super Mutants. 106 was full of drugs, etc...

What kind of Vault experiments would you want to see done?

Vault 754 Human soceity of aggresion test. - large animals are placed inside cages that only the overseer can open, 80 percent of the group opf people are non-hostile people who do not believe in violence, 20 percent are people who have records of crime in prison, and believe in violence. the object of this experiment is to see whether the 80 percent of society can learn to persuade the 20 percent to do their bidding. the animals are released, bears, lions and tigers are starving but have not resorted to cannibalism, they begin to attack, and the experiment determines whteher people can go against their mortal beliefs in an attempt to survive.

Vault 80 Political Belief Test. - several people of various politcal beliefs are placed inside a standard size vault. each of the politcal factions has a man or woman who has a record of taking charge of situations. the overseer will appoint them to a small council. the overseer will ignore any of their requests however. then the overseer will begin to spread messages of propaganda as an anonymous member of the vault who is not aligned to any politcal faction. the overseer will then proceed to bring up previously hidden historical records to the schooling teachers, but at certain intervals to spark discontent among the vault political factions. the overseer will appoint the leader of one of the factions as police chief, one as schoolmaster, one as doctor, and one as cook. with resources being fought over, the overseer will not take any side, and will be the main focus over the experiment. after the factions create a small scale war, the overseer will proceed to take several people aside and see if the factions will work together to save them. this test will see if people can survive eachother over political beliefs in the most dangerous of scenarios.

Vault 217 - Where as Vault 92 was full of musicians, this one is full of theatre actors. They have their own auditorium, stage, etc. (lights, sound, make-up etc. done by robots) Instead of being programmed by subliminal sound like in Vault 92, the stage lights are designed to change their brain chemistry.

Vault 345 - Whoops, somebody forgot to add all the medical supplies.

Have you even played fallout's one and two? Or even wiki Vault 13? Maybe you are just beening sarcastic or something but come on. Vault 13 we know all about it and it's role in the vault Experiments. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Vaults Known vaults are: LA Vault, 0,6,8,12,13,15,21,27,29,34,36,39,42,43,53,55,56,68,69,70,74,76,77,87,92,101,106,108,112 and unfinished Vault and one from BoS.

Also there are only 122 vaults built by Vault tek. Not many hundreds. "Vault-Tec built 122 such Vaults over the country."

all of this entire idea is fictitous styles. all of it.

vault society learning program. a vault is filled with working class people. every day, all citizens will go to the atrium to hear announcements from "outside" with false information, the people of the vault will believe it, and then people are released individually and have most of their reactions recorded. this tests how people will fare if constantly misinformed and how sanity reacts.

I understand that but what I got from the OP was that there are many vaults. So besides the vaults we know about, make up and idea for a vault.
We know about Vault 13 and the number of vaults (122). We also know about some of the vaults. Sorry If I am being an ass. I am not trying to be a canon freak here. Just putting the info out there for those that might not know about the vaults.

Are you really trying to rant about canon while mentioning BoS in any capacity?

True BoS is not Canon. I just added the BoS secret Vault because it was on the list. I was sure someone would point out that there could be a number of secret vaults out there. But like you pointed out BoS is crap and not canon. I agree.

Not everything on Wiki is true but alot of the info on the vaults is from the games (Fallout One,Two and Tactics.)

Vault 1337, is filled people who refuse to write properly. This vault is expected to fail being that a series of miscommunication may lead to system meltdowns.

Can we really trust pre-war records? After all, the vaults were supposed save people, not experiment on them right?

Vault 9001.

The only entertainment is the Dragoball Z episode twenty-eight - "Goku's Arrival".

Some of the Vault ideas you guys have mentioned should be implemented into the game. :P

Vault 991: No Air Purifier in the main chamber. There is a sealed off area of the vault with another Air Purifier but it is not big enough for the entire population.

Vault number 76 - Training and Improvising program. after several extensive years of training for their jobs, the people of the vault are rotated to different jobs, then the machinery of the vault is intended to fail, people will have to improvise, or risk chaos.

Private vaults as in Private shelters - Outside of Project safehouse, and therefore outside of the vault experiment programme. Its unlikely they would be in the same numbering system as the "Project Safehouse" vaults, and in all likelyhood could have been built by other companies.
