I've been playing a lot of single player lately, going through Nightmare with my necromancer (the only character I've ever made and stuck with). I'm thinking of playing some on-line though sometime. Anyone here still play? Also, I'm right in the middle of Texas; which server should I choose, East or West? I kind of in the middle.

Is there anyone still wanting to play? Found a spare expansion disc that I didn't know I had.

I probably will. My connection isn't the greatest though. I'm running off of a wi-fi card these days.

Yeah, my main internet here is satellite, but that's even worse for me than using this little wi-fi card. And, it's NumberoftheJon.

Well I started playing yesterday so I'm level 14 and at the very end of act 1. But I'd still play with you guys.

Alright I'm awake and good to go. I might have a current, non-ladder, character close to your level con. If I don't I'll start up a new one.

Edit: Closest one I have to level 14 is a 22 barb. That good enough con?

Looking over my spare items I found that I have the boots to the disciple set. Anybody with a necromancer want em?

Edit: As a heads up, if you want the boots hit me up on aim. I'll be logging of the forums for a while.

Yeah. Most people online just rush everything.

I've always liked to take my time as well. The fun of the game is killing things (and getting better things to kill more things to get better things, etc.). What's the point in rushing through everything? All these people want to get the best equipment or whatever, but they don't take the time to actually enjoy what the equipment they're after is supposed to be used for, which is the killing of things.

Hehe, before spam bots conquered the realms, I used to name my public games "killing things," "killing shiz," and other varieties of that theme. :^) It is indeed what Diablo is all about! Of course, I also used to title lots of my games "I love you," but that's another matter. ;^)

Anyhoo, I just downloaded the Diablo mod E=MC2 yesterday and it seems really good so far, I enjoyed it for the hour I played it. Prior to that I've only been playing single player for a long time now... I've completed the game in single player (all three difficulties) with two Paladins, two Druids, and a Barbarian and I have a Javazon that I've abandoned in Act 3 Hell. So yeah, I'm pretty patient. And I hope I'm pretty good by now. :^)

I haven't played online in quite a while, but my account Bycote is on USEast and it is full of godly items and two or three godly characters (gay hammerdin, awesome zeal sorc, and maybe a javazon I think). I don't play online anymore so I'll offer free items to anyone who joins the Elder Scrolls Folding@Home team and stays with us. You can find details about that in a sticky thread here in CD. Message me on the forum if you're interested. :^)

Is 26 too low a level for act 5?

Because I can tank everything and then wham bam I can't even touch the boss. Though it doesn't when diablo gets a super demon laser and he spams it like crazy.

Unless you're online, and thus have help, I'd say so. But it also depends on your class. I'll say though, that my characters are usually in their twenties by around the end of Act II, so either I over-level compared to everyone else, or you've under-leveled.

I think thats normal cause I was 20 after act 2, but then all of a sudden I was in act 4 and only 25.

Can you pk in this game?

If by PK you mean player kill, then yeah, there's PvP.

Edit: and, by the end of Act V of 'normal' mode, my last character had reached lvl. 50 (this is off-line, by the way). I'm not sure how you slowed down so much. Maybe it's my tendency to explore everything instead of rush through the quests. Or, maybe it's that most of the time I run around with /players8 entered, which gives you more experience, but also makes everything harder (as if there were eight players, I suppose).

I like to explore but if I want to stay with the group it sometimes mean rushing.

Also by pk I mean can you loot other players bodies after killing them?

No you can't unless it is hardcoe mode where it might be possible if victim so chooses.
