I've always liked to take my time as well. The fun of the game is killing things (and getting better things to kill more things to get better things, etc.). What's the point in rushing through everything? All these people want to get the best equipment or whatever, but they don't take the time to actually enjoy what the equipment they're after is supposed to be used for, which is the killing of things.

You get whatever you want out of it. You can take your time level up slowly, using low items, then medium then high items.. then you reach the end (that being Baal in Hell difficulty) and find that the game just begins. Sorry if I spoiled it for you.

I like to explore but if I want to stay with the group it sometimes mean rushing.

Also by pk I mean can you loot other players bodies after killing them?

No you can't unless it is hardcoe mode where it might be possible if victim so chooses.

I think in hardcoe when a player dies they drop their inventory, or mabey items in inventory and stash are gone forever, but the player can choose to let someone loot what the character is wearing. Solidor knows about hardcoe.

You use it and it resets your skill and stat points.

Which is very good if you FUBAR your stats but don't want to repeat a character

Depending on what patch to have you get one after finishing The Den of Evil in Act I. Talk to Akara to do the deed

Edit: What is your favourite quote from D2?

I know how to get one. Thing is, the patch was released, and so I patched my game, right after I had completed The Den of Evil in Nightmare with my main character. So, now I suppose I only get one chance to get one after completing it in Hell. It would have been nice if I could get the two I should have for completing the quest already.

Actually you can get three essences, one from Mephisto, Diablo and Baal each and then you can use the cube with the three essences and you'll get the same effect. Though you can only do this on Hell IIRC

Edit: So on Hell you can do it as many times as you want

That must be the Uber Tristram, if that is counted as a quest.

I'm not sure if there is harder enemies in entire game.
I don't know if 1.13 patch changed anything, I've not played in about year or two.

I'm confused as to why it's a bad thing.

I agree. Perhaps some people have time to devote hours to a character, only to realize that this skill point should be there instead of here, or those attribute points should be here instead of there, etc., and start over, but I don't.

I would just rush my character to act 5 hell. Uber Trist to level 70, baal runs till level 85... then I would get the perfect skill setup.

Yeah.. I play off-line. I don't know about anybody else, but it's going to take hours for me to get through normal, nightmare, and finally hell. So, therefore, I'm not opposed to the idea of being able to put time into a character without worrying about having to start over if I end up botching something up. Another thing is, it gives players the option of experimenting with builds other than the typical ones almost everyone apparently sticks to, without having to start a new character just to see if the build idea would even work.

I duel occasionally and haven't had a problem with people swapping out skills.

Yes, and when you change skill setup you will need to change the whole gear as well.

I really need reset my BvC's stats since I made couple mistakes while building it, other than that I have perfect gear for him :D

Every duel I've gotten into so far with my barb I haven't had to change him at all.

yeah, but I've not played since 1.12 so I had no change to reset my stats.
And which I need to fix is the strength which I pumped too high.

I mean it would be good to fix characters but to completely change them, I thought it was a tiny screw up for Diablo 2 *shrugs* oh well

Is there a way to get stuff to a mule with only myself?

Also can you still dupe items?
