Dialogue and actual value inconsistent.

Hey,

I'm having a little bit of trouble changing the values of various things in the game. For example: I changed the RoomCost to 10, unfortunately the dialogue just doesn't reflect that, even though I can confirm that the cost has actually changed. When I look at the dialogue in the CK, it uses the RoomCost though... so I have absolutely no idea what's going on. Same for the Thieves Guild job where you have to steal a certain amount of money. The money I need changes, but the quest objective doesn't reflect the change. But here again: The dialogue uses the value I did change. Same thing for buying houses, and probably horses (Haven't tested this one yet though).

Any ideas what I'm missing?

Sounds like the old value of the global got baked into your save when the quest collected the info for the dialogues. You can confirm this by trying out your mod on a new game. The quests probably we're not designed to allow for the global's value being changed after they started, otherwise the designer would've used the UpdateCurrentInstanceGlobal() function in there somewhere

You're right. On a new save it works.

Now I don't have any experience with scripting in Skyrim. Is there any way for me to add the function somewhere / Is there anything I can do?
