Unsure this be a general question or a creation kit question, but it seems I get more responses here than over there and this is more of a general question.
Anyway, I was working on a modding project and learned about hirelings from DarkFox on youtube. Throughout the session I learned about somethings about the dialogue setup based on hirelings and followers, and then it hit me. I wondered if i could try manipulating the dialogue scripts into other voices that doesn't allow the player to read the "Follow me dialogue", so that companion can join the player.
As an example: FemaleElfHaughty voice. It doesn't have a follow me dialogue; however, if I were to try and change the IDS after copying the follower dialogues in the DialogueFollowerQuest under Player Dialogue to that specific voice tone and NPC, wouldn't that have worked? Or is there more behind the voicing that unables the dialogue to show up?
I seriously had one of those brainstorming moments and could've swore it worked, but it didn't. Which is why I'm asking those who've done this if there's something else missing or it's impossible to work on.
