Dialogue options importance

So I have this thing that I have to reload again and again until I know all dialogue paths and choose the best outcome.

The old Fallout system where an option was grayed out and you could kinda tell which option was the one progressing dialogue and/or a quest limited those reloads.

See I don't want to play this game like this, I just want to keep walking and live with my choices but I can't do it because it bothers me and I can't stop thinking about it and it feels like I left something incomplete.

So my question is, how important are dialogue trees?

Judging from the first dialogue with your robot, it has so many options to choose, but do they actually make a difference or is it like telltale games where you'll get to the same point anyway?

If I played without reloads, how easy is it to miss quests or something important, or a coloured option down the tree?

I actually quit games because having to go through the dialogue tree and reloads is too overwhelming and I am like "I can't deal with this right now, I'll play another time". Help me enjoy the game :(

These dialogue trees are inconsequential compared to those found in FO3 and FN:NV. Most of the time, the choices are window dressing and lead to the same one or two outcomes. So they give you four choices, but two or three lead to one outcome and one or two lead to the other. There is virtually nothing hidden behind the CHA check dialogue choices that is of any consequence. Dialogue in this game was meant to tell a specific story rather chosen by the developers, and quickly at that. Let the hate rain upon me. I love it.

Well, no hate here, you have your opinion. Though even in games before this, every "progressing" dialogue choice would generally lead to the same outcome, as with most games. Even with a full dialogue 'tree,' the character will say something in reference to what you said, and then say the exact thing they'd say anyway with every other option.

Of course I wouldn't mind more options, but your point is moot considering it's the same as previous games and 90% of other RPGs with dialogue choices.

Thanks, this helped me a lot.

So I'll just choose what I want and let it go.
