Diamond city citizens attack me. Help? : Fallout 4

Is there any way, even using cheats, that I can stop Diamond City citizens from attacking me? I'm playing a lawful character, and I really don't want to go evil or roll a new character?

Also, several of the NPCs in Diamond City are immortal, so i can never actually go there...

... sounds like you already broke character if you have Diamond City angry at you. What was it you did...?

Usually, if you wait a few in-game days, they should stop attacking.

I have seen a couple of people mention this. I think what may be happening is that when a certain NPC's father sends Sharpshooters after you in diamond city, people just start shooting, and probably hit security and or citizens, which will turn the whole population against you, instead of just the two or three Sharpshooters that are there to kill you. I almost did it myself!

I could be completely wrong, but again I have seen several people mention this, and this is what makes sense to me.

If you jump down from up high in power armor, that can cause people to attack. I did that in Goodneighbor once from Hancock's balcony and the Neighborhood Watch attacked me.

Hold down X on Xbox at least to holster your weapon, they often forgive, think it's square on PS? haven't played in years.
