Diary of a Madgod

Attention fell on the Cathay-raht spellsword that took a seat in front of him, “I know.” The feline mouthed through a nod dismissing the apology, “As was I.” he added after a short pause followed by a brief smile, it may not have sounded like fitting humor but then the pahmar’s sense of humor was rather dark, and sadistic. Ren’ went quiet then blue gaze trailing the boat which was beginning to get a little packed but despite so it remained floating he could hear the splashing of the Argonian that had offered to tow the boat towards the island; a strange request, but it was not as Ren’ had tried to fathom why. “If you ever actually offend me, I have the decency to let people know.” He spoke up after the short silence; he wasn’t one that left a person in the dark if they rightly didn’t know what they said had come off as insulting.

“So in short; No harm is done.” He added trying to reassure the Cathay-raht, although his willingness to apologize was commendable.

it was meant to be a bit like that and i was super tired when i wrote that post. No offense to your character but she hates him since she doesn’t even remember him and he talked like he did more than her... I may know what you are trying to do but she isn’t me :P And I haven’t forgotten about you Ytt and Master Thief, she will come back after this so post a reply and she will be there to listen.

Edit: If you don't like me grabbing your character I can easily change it to just yelling but not the same effect.
EditEdit: dammit why did i think your character what a nord ytt.. sorry >.<

While she waited for the other two to reply to her, the Bosmer just didn't know when to stop, he even kissed her hand and walked off. "That does it" Mia said, her voice obviously angry at the fact that this man continued to act around her as if he was much better in her opinion. It might be just her mind messing with her but she wasn't going to let it slide. "Excuse me for a second, I will be back after I have a word with dear Adam" she said to the Khajitt and Imperial who had spoken to her to begin with, wanting to give them the courtesy of having their piece to talk to her as well. But this Bosmer needed to be taught a lesson.

She found him sitting on a rock near the new gate, and her arms immediately reached down and pulled him up. "For someone who thinks he is so high and mighty, it’s rude to leave after you ask a question... especially if it is someone’s name" Mia said as she glared at him. "Do you want to know who I am? My name is Mia. One of the champions who went above and beyond our duties to end the crisis and to save Tamriel from utter destruction. You were not one of those people yet you think you deserve the right to gloat about what you did? Did you go into the gates and saw the terrors inside? Did you have many of your friends die with you unable to do a thing? Did you have to sacrifice everything... even your humanity to stare Mehrunes Dagon in the face and openly defy him, only to have the ones you save come after your head in fear of whatyou accomplished?" Her eyes were now the emerald colour that Demona's were, her expression not the nice and warm one that was there before, but a cold one the eyes betraying the suffering she endured in the year of torment that led to the banishing of Dagon.

"When you can tell me that you endured all of that than just healing a few blasted soldiers in the final battle then maybe I will be convinced you deserve praise for what you have done. But you need to remember one thing: We were given the title of champion because it was the only thing they could give, and they knew that it was not nearly enough for what we had to endure to get to that point. Understood?" Her hands were shaking uncontrollably as she recalled everything that had happened throughout the crisis... To lose so many of her friends and more for it all to mean nothing in the end was enough to send any mortal person crazy... But Mia was not one and that made everything worse in her mind.

She let him go not caring his reaction as she turned away. "Try to gloat again and I will see to it that you don’t have a tongue." with that she ended her conversation and walked off to return to the other two. "I... apologise about my outburst... I just needed to vent" she said her warm and kind face returning as her eyes began to change into their usual silver once more.

It was about time you showed him, i was beginning to think that you were going to let him get away with that

I... Don't know what came over me.. my emotions and memories from that time was just too much.. i never do that so someone.. maybe i have lost what was left of my humanity.. maybe i am just like you after all..

I never had emotions before you came along.. and now you know why we don't.. it could be very dangerous for a daedra to have emotions and not be in control of themselves.. so you aren't like me at all Mia.. remember that. Mia sighed and nodded silently as she waited for the others to speak, and hopef she did not change their opinions of her.

Adam and Richard both watched, uncertain, as the girl who changed hair color went after the Wood elf Adam, who apparently also came from Chorrol. She hoisted him up from the rock by his collar; not a huge accomplishment given male Wood elven proportions, but still, for a woman of her slender build? She was certainly stronger than she looked. She didn't seem to make any attempt at hiding her issue with him, but then again on this little rock you could hear just about anything anyone said, unless whispered.

A brief look of uncertainty crossed over both guards' faces as she proceeded to berate and even threaten him. Should they intervene? This was county land, still within their jurisdiction. But it was only a threat... and enough threats and dark glares were traded on Bravilian streets that most guards didn't bother worrying over them anymore. And if they were going into that gate....

Alex decided to leave it be, and Richard seemed to agree, turning around to once more look out into the open waters of the Niben Bay, looking for swimmers, water-walking mages, or -heavens forbid such a sensible thing!- a boat. But the mention of Champions of Cyrodiil got Alex's mind working. Maybe these adventures, if such Champions were truly among them, actually stood a chance. But if that girl, Mia, was a Champion, then she was indeed more powerful than she looked. Mage women, the worst kind...

OOC: Tis okay Shadow, and so there's no confusion, Wolff walks away after who give him whatever answer you want. And Adam, sorry I don't really know how your character would react so I just put you acted calmly, but if you want to change it, I'll adjust it accordingly. And yes, he loathes both of your, but he at the very least, is moderately discreet about it. Nice posts to ya all, honestly I think we should get going before people start loosing interest, I have no clue how many posts you guys have been on the boat.

-Azrael Wolff-

As a person who fakes their emotions constantly, I'm usually pretty adapt in telling when someone is lying or being untruthful.

"I apologize but I can't explain how I do it... I just can, you can say it’s a gift I have had when I was born."

I smiled and nodded, but it didn't seem like she was telling me the truth, not the whole truth at any rate. But I wouldn't call her out on it, probably wouldn't get anywhere...I needed to find out more about her anyway, to find her weakness and her strength so I could effectively destroy her. I did not like this girl, not at all, too many things that were just plain wrong.

Kill her now! Come one, a telekinetic shove right into the rock, crack the head open. Club her in the back of her neck, shatter her spine. Or I could make her blind, watch as she stumbles around numbly , kicking her in the ribs every now and then. By the nines divine, I would love to hear her bones shatter.

But you just can't go and kill every person you meet, society tends dislike that and in all honesty, how many could I kill before the guards got me? Not very many. Still it was a wonderful fantasy. I needed to figure her out and then she went and did something unexpected again.

She grabbed Adam, that damn healer, and began shouting at him. I real smile crossed my face as she hoisted him up, it was quite funny and I hated that healer. But more than that, it showed me that she was quick tempered, that was a weakness I could exploit. She didn't seem to have any impressive muscular strength, lifting a wood elf is no accomplishment, but I had not yet seen the extent of her magical powers. Was it mysterious magic like the kind she pulled off when arriving on the island?

Questions. Questions. Questions.

As I watched her turn back to us, a little calmer but cheeks still flushed from rage, her eyes shifted color. It was no trick of the light, a complete change in their color.

Why? WHY ! WHY ! WHY!

I wanted to rip her head off, she was so damn annoying, an enigma I just couldn't figure out. As she came walked over and apologized(probably a lie) for her outburst I wanted nothing more than to punch right in the face, break her nose, knock a few teeth loose. Instead I just smiled, perhaps a little strained,

“I understand, I have no idea what you had to endure, but when someone comes up and acts like he did as much as you and he sat in the back the whole time...It's enough to irk anyone,”

I totally disagreed, I found it incredibly childish how she broke out in anger, but then again she did seem rather childlike.

“May I ask what schools of magic your learned in? I only want to know because we might be fighting together and it's probably best to learn each others skills.”

The information would give me nice data on how to deal with her efficiently. If she was skilled in alteration and restoration, it would be an easier kill than destruction and conjuration.

Where the hell is every body else? They should be here by now.

I walked over to Adam, he had seemed to have taken the argument in strides, brushing it off. But that could just have been what I saw, though I can usually detect when someone is having powerful emotions.

“That's interesting fruit you've got there. I've been looking all over this island and I've never seen fauna like this in all of Tamriel, but as a healer maybe who've seen more than me,”

I dropped my voice to a whisper so no one would over hear,

“Don't worry about that mage girl, just because she didn't see you doesn't mean you didn't do anything. I am sure who've had your pains and losses, anything I can do for you.”

Yes I hate healers, but I want people on my side, so as I pictured him being disemboweled I just smiled. I was having a hard time figuring out who I hated more, Adam or Mia?

Adam sat on a rock, eating the delicious strange fruit, for some reason he thought he could make something out of it if he knew its properties. He sat down contemplating about some things for a second and then realized that Mia was holding him up by his collar. Surprised and shocked, lifting someone of his weight and even a for a breton girl would be almost hard to do, Adam looked at her in the eyes, they had changed colour.

"Let go of me!" He demanded. "You think because I am a short person you can do this to me, if it-" He was cut off when Mia looked him dead in the eyes and started talking
"For someone who thinks he is so high and mighty, it’s rude to leave after you ask a question... especially if it is someone’s name" Mia said as she glared at him, Adam froze for a bit from the shock of her words, they hurt his ears.

Did you have to sacrifice everything... even your humanity to stare Mehrunes Dagon in the face and openly defy him, only to have the ones you save come after your head in fear of whatyou accomplished?" Adam looked at her, in disbelief of what she saw in him, she did not know what he went through during the crisis. Her experiences would be definite worse, but also, for Adam it was traumatizing.

Adam looked away, shaking to where he faced a women's fury.

He was let down, Adam gave her a glare and looked down only to pick up his fruit and dagger. "Try to gloat again and I will see to it that you don’t have a tongue." Adam looked at her, unsheathing his dagger slowly and wanting to drain her life away with his magic. It was magic that was forbidden for a healer to use. The darkside of the school of Restoration. To drain or absorb one's health and watch them wither away and die. He looked at her as she walked back to the others. "I... apologise about my outburst... I just needed to vent" - Adam thought it was lies, she wanted to let loose the rage.

Adam looked at her and looked down, and thought of the words she said and with the uncanny sense of remembering everything he went threw. He thought back to the crisis, where his guildmates of both the fighters guild and the mages guild had to go into a gate in Skingrad County. He thought back and those images where his guildmaster was beheaded, three of Adam's pupils dismembered and killed brutally, he and a handful would return. He remembered walking into a gate a second time with him and some legion soldiers. She didn't know what kind of tortures he saw his friends, pupils and mentor go through. His father was killed on his way to Cyrodiil when he was a baby boy. - Adam thought to himself, he gloats but its for a reason, to hide everything he went through during the crisis. From saving women and children, watching them die as he couldn't do anything to help. Watching a legion soldiers and commanders die before him, some he made everlasting friendships with. The last image was a flash of seeing Mehrunes Dagon in the Imperial City, he thought and remembered what he went through to see such a horror and still try to fight and heal others around him whilst he would not heal himself. He let out a single tear, not from the fear of this girl, but from the fear of not saving anyone on this trip if they were to come to great peril. He thought to himself, if she were to get injured, he wouldn't help her. That would be his revenge, but could he do that and have that on his mind. He didn't know. He wanted to be better.

Azreal walked over to Adam, he had seemed to have taken the argument in strides, brushing it off. But that could just have been what I saw, though I can usually detect when someone is having powerful emotions.

“That's interesting fruit you've got there. I've been looking all over this island and I've never seen fauna like this in all of Tamriel, but as a healer maybe who've seen more than me,”

he dropped my voice to a whisper so no one would over hear,

“Don't worry about that mage girl, just because she didn't see you doesn't mean you didn't do anything. I am sure who've had your pains and losses, anything I can do for you.”

Adam nodded and looked at the man, his smile gave him the impression he wanted a friend.

"It is interesting fruit, it's delicious actually, I've never seen this before In my life, I'm an alchemist, and This is weird, though I only take a field in certain herbs, fruits and all that. Though, I have only seen maybe two quarters of the fauna and experimented with it." Adam said. "I'm not worried, though we all went through some tough times during the crisis. I did have my pains and losses, I had three pupils go into a gate me with, along with my mentor. they were all killed. Just one pupil I had, his name was Cason, brilliant pupil.. he was.. beheaded by a dremora." He whispered and bit his lip, he started to tremble then looked back at the man,
"Come to think of it, there is a few you can do for me. If I'm ever looking at strange fruit like this, kind of help me out. I bet I can make some sort of alcoholic beverage with this. If your interested. When your on your way back to the Imperial City, stop at the Weye Inn and ask Nuressa about me." He chuckled.

Adam walked back down to his boat and told the man to go off and leave.

OOC: I believe we are just waiting on Aula to get Karst onto the boat and what not, but I'll just act like she's already there, for the sake of time.

Iver had been sitting in his back row of the boat, which was certainly starting to crowd up, but it could hold everyone, so no worries. After a while of looking out into the mist and wondering what wonders, and terrors, awaiting them on the other side of the gate, the larger Khajiit(OOC: I cant believe I was spelling it wrong and no one told me -.-) looked at him and said, “Why don’t I ride you?” to Iver, mentioning the fact that he wanted to ride him.

"Oh but you could," Iver began as his smile enveloped his slightly pale face, "Though I don't think that would scare away what creatures lie beyond the gate. Now me, on top of you? They'd run for the hills!" Iver starting out laughing, not to loud but again, just messing with this Khajiit. He didn't mean anything by of course, he was a kind hearted individual and respected all equally, but he loved to jest here and there. He didn't want the Khajiit to feel as though his was putting him down, so he added kindly, "I'm only kidding mate, though it would be a sight to see."

And with that, Iver got the attention of the Argonian who was in the water, waiting to start pulling the boat.

"Hey Big-Tree, I'd say it was about time to begin our journey, don't you?"

After saying that, Iver grabbed his small, wooden paddle and began to paddle his way through the water and to the island, though he himself wasn't making much a dent. One Big-Tree started though, they were moving as fast as this small wooden boat would go, if not faster. They arrived at the island shortly after beginning and man what a sight it was. Strange looking planets infested this island as if it had been here the whole time. The gate, still clearly visible from the short distance the boat was to it, looked just like a normal gate except for the larger than life lock on it.

Who would want to break into such a gate in the first place?

As everyone boarded off the cramped little boat, Iver stayed behind and made sure everyone was off before first stepping off himself. He gave a hand to Big-Tree in the water to help him get out as well, if need be.

OOC: Why thank you very much Adam :)

Alyssa pouted, small bubbles ascending from her lips. How dare they have ignored HER, Alyssa Stormfield, the renowned inventor and arcanist, when they had clearly put out an ad for people strong of mind! She had even cordially introduced herself around the tavern, which by now she had the sneaking suspicion was the incorrect establishment, and waited till midnight for the brave group of heroes. As it was, she had decided that the best course of action was a simple trudge across the bottom of the lake. The passing slaughterfish shied away from the tiny Breton who reeked of death and decay, which suited the mad wizard just fine. She had been walking for a decent few hours now, alternating between a prolonged underwater jog or being carried upon the back of her minion, who was currently drying inside of his coffin. As she continued her leisurely stroll,she began to notice that she was approaching a rather large, even-darker area of the basin. Smiling, she knelt down upon the soft, moist earth, splayed her fingers, and channeled a large force of fire into the ground underneath her.

~~~~
Moments later, a tiny woman in black robes shot like a cannonball out of the water in a gust of steam and dirt, landing rather ungracefully next to the face of the Madgod and right at the feet of the band of heroes. Rolling around and putting out improbable flames on the heels of her leather boots, the rank woman finally noticed the people she had so rudely interrupted. Meekly, she flipped her hood back, smiling and waving from her low position. Hopping to her feet, she offered a low bow and a quiet, barely-whispered sentence, accompanied by fittingly watery doe-eyes.
"H...hello...My name is Alyssa..." She whispered, her face contorting into a grin. Her fingers splayed and her eyes closed, her mind almost completely focusing on summoning a powerful force of electricity (In addition to delicious cheeses). With a yell, she stood from her bow, and flung a gesture towards a circling seagull. Promptly, a line of mystical, blue lightning shot through the air, conjuring the smell of burning ozone, and pierced the seagull like a cruel spear. The bird promptly exploded, showering feathers and fowl gibs upon the group.
Alyssa returned to her bow, still smiling from ear to ear.
A geyser of water shot up from behind the iron gate, sending cold droplets upon half the island, as a tiny woman and a large black object came crashing with all the grace of a goblin onto the ground beside the gate. Adam half-drew his sword, Richard turned towards the woman and drew his arrow taunt, both of them tensing as she got up, revealing the black item that was larger than her, and must have weighed far more, to be a coffin.
"H...hello...My name is Alyssa." She proclaimed with whisper and easy hop to her feet.
"Is this woman a part of your band?" Alex inquired to the others, not to Alyssa. What kind of woman carries a large coffin? The woman than proceeded to perform some sort of magical summoning, sending a crackling jolt of blue lightning at a bird in the sky, which exploded promptly. The feathers took their time in descending. THe woman returned to her bow as if she had done nothing. Richard frowned.
OOC: Tsk Tsk, Mony. That was character control. I'll let it slide, but in the future remember it is FAR more polite to let the player control their own character.
IC:
Big-Tree had waited long enough at this point, "Lady Karstine, if you wish to ride with us, I hope you are a skilled acrobat." He let out a hearty laugh. Just as the Nord, Iver, picked up an oar to start rowing, Big-Tree dove into the water. He flexed his tail twice, and it became flatter. Arms at his sides, he moved like a dolphin, or a hot knife through butter. Then he heard and felt a thud , perhaps it was Karstine jumping in? To see him beneath the water would be like seeing a great serpent. In many ways, that's what Big-Tree was. He could have sworn he felt the a lurch in the boat, perhaps the Bard wasn't so smart in positioning himself at the prow... standing up!
The calm beneath the water was nice, the Argonian even began to sing a little ditty about the cool water, and the fish that (recklessly) swam beside him. With a sharp twist of his tail, he snapped one of them between his jaws, A snack for when we get to the island, he thought. At this point, it must have looked like the point was being driven and powered by some great Dwemeri machine, as a large wake formed behind the small boat.
Soon enough, Big-Tree saw the rocky formation that marked the island. The water was murky however, and he couldn't stop in time... he slammed head first into the shore. Just as he picked his head up, the boat came next and slammed him in the right in the ass. He let out a groan, the fish dropping from his mouth and flopping back into the water, he then shakily picked himself up. Taking out his cutlass, Big-Tree sliced the rope in one sweep, then un-knotted the makeshift harness. "Do not... ever... pull a boat with a flask a brandy running through your veins." Big-Tree turned around, and he saw the gate. "That's it. Looks like a cell door."
Or perhaps... the door to a tomb.
"Is this woman part of your band?" Alex asked
"Not that I'm aware of, she wasn't at the taver to my knowledge" Sarah looked at the girl, she was dripping wet from the water, much like Sarah as she had just come from a swim also.
"So... Alyssa are you part of part of Karst's venture like the rest of us?" Sarah was still a bit confused as to why this girl was here
"Also, where did you come from? iI didn't see you in Bravil" Sarah was speaking in quite a cold fashion, as was her nature most of the time when she meets new people or is shocked by something. After flicking a bit of bird of her shoulder that Alyssa had exploded she stood up, she then slowly reached for her sword that was in its sheath on her back. The sound the sword made coming out of the sheath was music to her ears, it was odd but she'd always enojoyed the sound. Drawing her Sword was quite a natural reaction, after all this Alyssa had probably scared the crap out of most of them before exploding a bird.
The golden sword shined in the sun, She then casually leant on it as she waited for the situation to unfold some more.
Juhanor - Gate
The newcomer had explained that she was also waiting for Karst; however, she had a pained expression after doing so, but quickly passed it off as the result of a headache. Hope she feels better,thought Juhanor, too bad I'm not a healer. The sun beat down upon the rocky island, and its loving warmth soon helped Juhanor's fur return to its dry state. A few more of the group had arrived through various means, including a young looking Imperial and a Bosmer. Given that no-one else was attempting to speak with him, the Khajiit decided to play it cool and take a nap while he waited. Given the events of the previous night, Juhanor quickly fell asleep.
He feels a touch upon his shoulder; always a light sleeper, the Khajiiti's eyes snap open. A Nord, holding his finger to his lips, is shaking the Khajiit, trying to wake him up. A disturbance, over the hill. Corpses everywhere, all fresh. The Khajiit takes point; he moves silently down the hill, covered in night's embrace. Two bandits remain alive, raiding the caravan; both shake as if they had been electrified. The Khajiit makes his move; he drops one with a kick, and the other is soon felled by his blade. A survivor; the group is going to find the leader of the ban- The dream finished just as speedily as it had started. Juhanor opened up his eyes and sat up; standing over by the Bosmer was the newcomer. She was definitely pissed at the Elf; after delivering some sharp words to him, the woman returned to Juhanor and the lady in gold. "I... apologise about my outburst... I just needed to vent," she said to the two, with a sigh; luckily, it appeared that she wasn't angry with anyone else in the nearby vicinity. "It is nothing," drawled Juhanor, "stuff happens." He gave the woman a large, toothy smile, and was about to continue when he heard a large splash, followed by a thump, as a woman in black touched down by the iron gate. She introduced herself as Alyssa, and the two guards returned the favor by brandishing their weapons at her.
"Is this woman a part of your band?" the first guard questioned. This really isn't his day, huh? Juhanor thought as his smile grew even larger. The woman in gold answered first, explaining that she had never seen the woman in black before. "I've never seen her, either," Juhanor agreed, "although, one as powerful as her-" he motioned to the chunks of electrified gore that had landed upon the island, "will probably be in the mood to join us."
okay I let it slide in the past but the copying and pasting is getting a bit much especially when I see an exact duplicate of my post in yours Adam >.> at least when you copy the talking over, change the other parts to portray what that character is doing to yours in your own point of view, otherwise it’s almost as if you aren’t reading it properly and not reacting correctly. Yes I’m a bit picky, but mistakes like that I’ve made in the past and it’s always best to show what people are doing wrong rather than leaving it be.
The imperial continued to make Mia wonder what he really was like, even though what he said to her sounded sincere it was as if he was just saying it to ease her mind. Either way she wasn't going to bother about it for now as he asked another question about her abilities and she shrugged. "Once we get inside you will find out first hand, no need to talk about such things until they are needed." she said and the man walked off to talk to the Bosmer.
Turning to the Khajitt when he replied to her apology his attitude seemed different to the imperial, like it was more genuine. The toothy grin confirmed that, and it simply made her shake her head with a small smile on her face. Before anything else could be said a small black blur catapulted from the water and landed on the ground. Upon close inspect it was a small Breton dressed in black. As she whispered something and exploded a seagull, Mia's gaze was instead turned to the massive coffin on her back. How can someone so little carry something so large? she thought before hitting her head with her palm. A feather spell... still it just looks odd strapped to such a small woman's back. After her little trick a few of the group including the guards readied their weapons in case she wasn't friendly.
Awh! She’s so cute!
Demona... you think anything that destroys something and looks like that is cute...
But it is true... just look at her exploding a bird and acting like she didn’t do anything. I just want to pinch her cheeks!
This is why I’m in control...
If someone like her wanted to be a threat, however, they wouldn't do what she just did, and be exposed in a middle of a group of armed people. One of the guards was asking if she was one of their band of adventurers, and from the reactions given by the others she wasn't. But Mia knew that Karst could have asked her to come along, especially since this girl obviously had some talent. Until her friend confirmed it however, Mia just decided to wait and see.
"Hey Big-Tree, I'd say it was about time to begin our journey, don't you?"
The Argonian immediately began swimming and, although it took some time to build up the momentum, the boat was crusing much faster than Clengo had expected it to. He glanced over the prow of the vessel, making sure to maintain a low center of gravity, eagerly hoping to see the Big-Tree's powerful strokes in action. Instead, all he saw was a dark object beneath the water, too obscured by the white, frothing surf for him to make out any details. He returned to his seat next to Cordus.
"Big-Tree is truly a master of the water, isn't he?" Clengo said admirably, "Lets play him a tune that will encourage him." Clengo brought his flute to his lips, but then paused. "If you do not know this tune, you will catch on. It is a favorite in Valenwood. It is said that to this tune the gods were encouraged to build All Creation."
He then brought the flute to his lips and began to play.
---
It wasn't long at all before Big-Tree had them at the island, and Clengo shoved his flute into his satchel before leaping from the boat into the shallow water. It was quite cold, and Clengo felt his toes tingle unpleasantly. He looked to the Argonian: "Sunnabe Y'ffre, ye ni yando," said the elf, clasping the Argonian on his scaly arm (his shoulder was uncomfortably high) which was hot from the effort.
Turning away and headed towards land, he spotted others that he had seen at the tavern, as well as others he had not. He was quite shocked at the appearance of two guards, whom he briefly feared were here to stop him and return him to the Imperial City. Nervously stalled in his approach, Clengo had not lingered for a moment when a tremendous whoosssshhhh erupted from behind him. Turning quickly, he just caught sight of a blur that broke through the surface and flew overhead. Clengo ducked reflexively, but it wasn't like he needed to. The blur landed right in the middle of the crowd already on the island, utterly surprising everyone who stood there.
Clengo, excited to see what---or who---had caused this commotion began to approach when he realized it to be a short, beautiful woman with jet black hair and a large wooden box on her back. She said something inaudible and then shot a bolt of lightning into the air, which issued a large crack and obliterated a passing bird. Having never seen such powerful magic at work, he was stunned at the display of raw power. He would certainly respect the newcomer for her skill, and he determined never to cross her. Still, he had never seen the shaman of his village, who drew their power from Y'ffre and Auri-El, perform such magics. What dark gods must she have coveted with? he thought worriedly.
Having overcome his initial shock, however, the small Bosmer decided to approach the group. He was determined not be seen as weak, for he was a warrior now, and even in the face of such great magic, a warrior doesn't even flinch for fear. The oath he had made to Chief Karst driving him onward, he trekked up the warm beach towards the crowd.
After arriving on the island, Iver noticed many new people, along with something, or someone, flying out of the water only to meaninglessly kill a helpless bird flying through the sunny sky.
I hope that made you feel better, whoever you are.
He watched the charred carcass plummet to the ground landing a bit shy of the island. He turned back and looking at the gate, which was very plan and didn't offer much insight as to where it led. He casually strolled up on the island to notice some guards, along with people from the tavern, gather around the new person, swords drawn and arrows hitched, ready to fly through here head if need be.
Good, she deserves punishment for killing a helpless creature.
He saw Adam, the Bosmer he met before talking to that strange Imperial not far off, but he maintained his distance, he didn't like that guy. He found a rock to sit on next to the gate, and promptly sat on top of it, watching the events unfold before his hazily eyes, the wind blowing his rugged looking brown hair all about.
That! Was evil! He cracked a grin at Ren and shook his head "Twisted khajiit.." he said with a light chuckle as the boat started to cross the water. The trip was relatively quick surprisingly, for a river that was extremely wide and utterly deep. He seemed to enjoy making a friend here at least, the big Pahmer that sat across from him. "Well that is good! Last thing I want to do is ruin a potential friendship." He said, noting that well, he was being honest but could still see the potential here. They shared a similar humor so far and had gotten along well enough. The boat pulled in against the island. Quietly he stood up as the boat unloaded and climbed onto dry land, waiting for Ren to get off, or at least to make sure he didn't fall off.
Funnily enough he felt something else rocket out from the water that was big, black and wooden. Not seeing the attached being on the large coffin that landed with a loud THUD later on, as well as a lightening bolt shoot up and vaporise a bird a few moments later, the khajiit sighed "idiots.." he muttered, contemplating if someone was showing off.
OOC: Aulakauss has stated this before guys... the Shivering Isles gate from the game ain't there. No Madgod head. Please stop making everyone else's characters appear unobservant and dumb for not noticing something, when it was never there.
Thank you.
Cordus Leon
“Whoa, no way! Dude, when we get to that island, you gotta show me some of your moves!” Cordus said excitedly, in response to Big-Tree’s statement that he was an accomplished jiggler. Cordus laughed and started balancing on the edge of the boat with one foot. Then another person walked up to him.
"I heard your music at the Silverhome," he said, pulling out a flute. "I play too." He played a small piece, which Cordus bobbed his head along with, before cutting himself off to say, "I am sorry. You must be a great man amongst your kind, since you draw so many beautiful wives. How proud must I be to not introduce myself properly to such a chief amongst his people? I am Clengo, a warrior of my people and follower of the Lessons. What is your name?”
Cordus bowed, still standing on the edge of the boat. “Name’s Cordus Leon, bard, acrobat, and adventurer extraordinaire! Pleasure to meet you, Clengo. And those weren’t my wives back there. Just my latest catches. Trust me, I’m not planning on getting married any time soon.” Cordus laughed and resumed balancing on one foot. Cordus then remembered Clengo’s earlier statement and so said, “Oh, and you play too? Dude, between me, you, and Big-Tree (he dances!), this is going to be one seriously legit trip!”
But suddenly Big-Tree took off much more quickly than Cordus had expected, almost throwing Cordus off the other side of the boat. But luckily Cordus managed to catch the other side of the boat, and balanced himself on that hand, before flipping into a seated position. He panted a little, as the sudden loss of balance knocked his breath out, but quickly regained his breath and laughed. “Did you guys see that?!? Dudes, I’m so awesome!” he said, laughing as he looked around the boat, making sure they saw his acrobatic recovery.
Clengo then pulled out his flute and said, "Big-Tree is truly a master of the water, isn't he?" Clengo said with admiration, "Let’s play him a tune that will encourage him." Clengo brought his flute to his lips, but then paused. "If you do not know this tune, you will catch on. It is a favorite in Valenwood. It is said that to this tune the gods were encouraged to build All Creation." Cordus listened for a moment before catching onto the beat, and pulled out his lute and starting strumming along to Clengo’s tune, zoning out as he played.
Before long, Big-Tree arrived at the island and cut himself loose from the boat. Cordus smiled and said thanks again to the Argonian. He then jumped in the water and hurried to land. He had no idea how people had swam to the island. The water was freezing! As he walked up the rather odd island, he noticed a small woman with a box on her back blast out of the water and randomly shoot down a bird for no reason at all, then act like she did nothing strange. Immediately most of the people gathered around her, some drawing weapons. Cordus was slightly disappointed. He doubted he could do much to top the woman’s entrance, and was slightly jealous (in a mocking way) of it.
So Cordus rushed forward and stood in the crowd gathering around the girl. He looked around at the people next to him and said rather loudly, “Okay, what was the point of that? I mean, that bird’s day is ruined now! He was just flying around, minding his own, and he randomly died! What is that? Though, I have to give her props for the dramatic entrance.” He continued, shrugging.
Then Cordus realized that, in an effort to keep from being upstaged again while on this journey, he need to claim the sole right to being overly flashy for no reason at all. And so he stepped into the middle of the crowd and raised his arms. “People!” he said loudly, looking at the group of adventurers. “I just want to call dibs on any and all random dramatic entrances from now on! We can’t have too many people being randomly showy for no reason! So, yeah, leave the dramatic stuff to me, kay, babe?” he said, addressing the girl herself with the last sentence.
OOC: You could've been a bit more gentle with that FC4. But ya, I agree. I think I'm the only person who observed the door as just being a... thick metal door.
IC:
Clengo the Bosmer walked up to Big-Tree, he spoke in his people's native tongue, and being gifted with Glosslalia, Big-Tree understood some of it. "Why thank you my mer friend!" It was always nice to receive a complement, "Might I say, the flute you played was quite nice." Big-Tree then nearly jumped out of his skin, or scales rather, when a flash and bang sounded behind him, "Oh [censored]! We've pissed of the door! Beat it down!" Big-Tree yelled.
But as he spun around, sword drawn, he saw... a woman. "Oh...", this was the only confused, and embarrassing word, he could mutter. "Lightning scares the hell out of me." He explained. He looked at the gate, somewhat confused, if this truly was the work of the Madgod, where were the marks. But perhaps, this was the mark, a plain old metal door.
"So... when does the adventure begin!?"
OOC: Aulakauss rose the issue first, and he did so nicely. I'm raising the issue again, now getting slightly annoyed that the RP maker is apparently being ignored. I didn't feel the need to be gentle. *shrug*
EDIT: And truthfully, I thought I was being rather kind indeed, considering how much little sleep and a long day can get me temperamental. Off to bed now. Ta-ta.
IC: “Okay, what was the point of that? I mean, that bird’s day is ruined now! He was just flying around, minding his own, and he randomly died! What is that? Though, I have to give her props for the dramatic entrance.” A guy within a group of adventurers, which were only now coming up the beaten path, spoke up, referencing the woman's display of magical prowess. Alex had to agree with the man, except for the dramatic entrance bit. That was the second bird he had to watch die today for no reason beyond boredom and showiness, and only those ever-extravagant mages and men with too much hubris bothered with dramatic entrances.
And then Alex stopped liking the guy, as the Imperial stood before the gate and raised his arms. “People!” he said loudly, looking at the group of adventurers. “I just want to call dibs on any and all random dramatic entrances from now on! We can’t have too many people being randomly showy for no reason! So, yeah, leave the dramatic stuff to me, kay, babe?” he said, addressing the girl with the last sentence.
"Obviously this group is not in their right mind." Richard remarked coolly, letting the bow slacken now as the threat seemed to die down. But he still kept it pointed at Alyssa. "Even I don't say stuff like that."
"And that's saying something." Alex nodded in agreement, earning an 'Eh!' from his fellow guard. "Listen, bard..." It was rather obvious his occupation from the lute he carried, and his care about showiness. "I get the feeling there are few here that give a crap, and fewer that would listen anyways. So just get out of the way of the gate so Lady Karst can open it." Alex told the man curtly, wondering when this Karst would actually show up, and if the Gate would even open for her. All these people, and the lock was still clamped shut.
A moment, Adam looked up to see a dead bird and missed an amazing entrance by a beautiful girl who can spawn lightning powers. Adam found that mage women to be the most attractive, though he would be careful about her, the incident with Mia had made him more thoughtful of his actions. He left Azreal and introduced himself to 'Alyssa'.
"Greetings, I am Adam, decorated healer and honorary soldier amongst the legion." He bowed and looked at the strange bosmer. He walked over to him and shook his hand and spoke to him in bosmeri.
"May An Aldmeris suna sou sepredia agea/May the ancestors bless you with peace, love and wisdom" He spoke. "Hilyat/Follow" He said to the bosmer. Adam walked away and gave Aylssa a wink, smile and walked away. He went to examine the feathers and looked around. He seen Iver, the argonian, Big-Tree. They never introduced each other really, at all, then there was a person named Cordus Leon.
Adam looked at Mia, then the two guards, Azreal and Sarah. He didn't know what to do at the moment.
A snorted laugh escaped the pahmar followed by a grin at the other’s reaction to his joke, calling him twisted. “Maybe I am twisted.” He hummed through a smile, hmm indeed maybe he was, feeling the boat starting to move Ren’ lay down from his previously sitting position mostly to avoid losing his balance on the rocking boat. But seemingly just as it had begun the boat trip was over, the hull of the boat gently scraping against the rocky out cropping. Low rumble like an explosion then suddenly rocked the bay, given his position Ren’ couldn’t really see what was happening, but the shower of water, like a very local rainstorm that dripped over the island was unnoticeable.
Ears flipping back in slight confusion, jumping over the boats railing and onto the hard rock of the island. “So far I see no danger of that happening.” The pahmar stated glancing over his shoulder at Jodhan's remarks about runing a potential friendship, then proceeding to climb the shallow slope up towards the iron-barred gate which covered a gaping hole in the fabric of reality. Ren’ who had stopped at the top of the slope was a little confused by the petit woman who had made the dramatic entrance just as the boat had touched the island, she was carrying a wooden box, or was it a coffin?! And on top of that she had just vaporized a bird for the hell of it! The pahmar halfway shook his head, not that he was making any attempt to try and understand the situation as that likely wouldn’t go anywhere, the tiger-leopard like creature eased his way further up onto the actual island stepping out of the path, blue-eyed gaze trailing the odd ensemble of characters.
ooc: Aldmer is a High elf :P Aldmeris is their language isn't it?
ic:
Jodhan grinned and followed Ren up the side of the island until he stopped, noticing the woman that seemed to land with the Thud. She was..well..she reeked of death, water, the bottom of the river and just was something that put him off severely. He eyed her for a moment longer, ears flattening in dislike as she did reek bad and the ominous black box was not helping. This one was like the imperial, showy and he did not like showy. But then if that was the case the girl was an attention seeker or from the look, something that was to become a spit roast for the first thing that asks for a sacrifice! "That is good! Twisted tiger." he grinned and then looked to the female and the others gathered at the door, including two guards! "Least you won't be the oddball out here. With a...girl that smells like a Dunmeri crypt and well.. the collection of oddities here." Jodhan said and stretched out, feeling his back crack slightly.
