Dice Shaming

Post » Wed Aug 06, 2014 11:08 pm

Being an old time pen and paper tabletop roleplaying gamer, I really enjoyed this post from one of my old D&D buddies on Facebook today:

[EDIT]

What would your dice be saying?

One of mine would say "I repeatedly failed to let my owner escape the grapple check of a UNICORN whose die let him crit. The unicorn did not have pure intentions." :(

I think the original 20 sided I got in the box would just say... "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

My D20 is the reason my Dwarven Rogue doesn't actually believe in traps anymore. Level 9 now, and in all that time I think I've only ever actually managed to find one without setting it off first.

I also have a tendency to critically fail my stealth rolls for hilarious effect.

I'm not a very good rogue, actually...

i dont have much experience with D&D but my last experience would be something like "i killed everyone except for the [censored] of the group and let him win even though there is no physical chance in hell he should have"

seriously i thought the point of D&D was to have fun but everyone just got mad that i was doing that when they were already more than capable of handling it..... until everyone died.

Indeed, it is. Unfortunately creating new character sheets is not very fun.
