Did anyone try to play completely solo?

What I mean of completely solo as don't have any companions unless you require to have one, while also having hardcoe mode on and Very Hard set as difficulty? And still manage to survive through the game? I'm thinking to do that for my next playthrough for a bit of a challenge. Maybe I'll set down the difficulty on hardened enemies, like Deathclaws. But majority is that to have it on most of the time.

It's possible. I might try this aswell.

On Fallout 3, I once completed it without any stimpacks on very hard with only the armoured vault suit. So this seems managable.

There's no companion that fits for my assassin type character, she goes on alone. Diffculty is normal becasue i can't stand bullet sponges, but i have mods to make the game more difficult than Very Hard.

Just something you should know. If you know what your doing, THIS GAME IS EASY AS HELL. Just get some form of silenced weopon and sneak attack the [censored] outa everything. Its not hard at all.

Thanks guys for the replies. I'll probably try to play completely solo with hardcoe on and difficulty set to Very Hard at my next playthrough.

@ Lostpancake

I know, the game's way too easy. That's why now on my next playthrough, I'll only wear Light armor. Maybe Medium armor on tough hostilities/bullet sponges, but majority that I'll have on Light armor. If that still makes it too easy, I'll wear civilian clothing, more specifically what NPCs usually wear, like wasteland outfits or tuxes or something.

Not really much of a challenge, i'm sure a lot of us have done it. I don't use companions in hardcoe anyways, just for the fact that they can die. I don't want to have to babysit a Fallout NPC.

I usually don't have a companian, if I do they end up staying with me for awhile until they keep stealin my kills and then I tell them to go away or wait at base cause I want their perk. What I often do is have Raul as a companian and tell him to wait at base, he has the best perk by far. Although the most fun characters to have around me are Veronica and ED-E. I hate dogs so no Rex.

I always play very hard because anything less and I will get bored. I can't play hardcoe past level 15, cause I'm the type of player that carries a gatling laser with 7,000 rounds.....I like carrying a butt-load of ammunition.

I was on that on my 1st 10mins out of Goodspring on my1st playthrough, and you when die very quickly if you use VATS.......otherwise it ain't so difficult after you learn about the game.

I did for a long while but eventually broke down I missed the extra carrying capacity, but now I'm starting to miss the challenge it provided.

Companions are more of a liability than helpful.
Would be more challenging to go 'round with Veronica and Rex (two companions who'll gladly run into melee range with the Legendary Deathclaw) on the highest difficulty and try to get through the game without killing them (or reloading the game).

More like weak companion that can't handle themselves.
