I don't really disagree with this at all. I wasn't suggesting that the two difficulty extremes ever actually meet in the middle. I was just suggesting that there's a challenge to playing a low-difficulty character, because of slow leveling.

It's a kind of Tortoise/Hare thing. The game is balanced for Adept, which is neither Tortoise nor Hare. Anything outside the mean tends to run up against imbalance.

That is very true, Adept being the default difficulty.



I do understand the slower lvl'ing up when at lower lvls, on Novice you might actually be able to finish all the quest lines before lvl 20... I've never tried it.


I know my characters with there limited skill sets, even doing all the quest lines won't reach lvl 50... that's fine, lvl'ing isn't important to me... my characters skill balance is.


Glargg, your opinion is not only wanted, but valued! We may have different opinions, but... that's a good thing at times.

Just wanted to say that, before you play in the competition, you should send me your mod list (If you have any) so that you don't have an advantage nor a disadvantage.

As to mods, it's worth noting that NMM now supports Profiles, just as MO does, so it's trivially simple to disable any game-changing mods.

I was thinking, its rare for someone to last 3 weeks, so why not reduce it to 2 weeks or so?

Some deadric quests are very easy, maybe raise que quest-line points to 1,250 and the quest points to 750?

Why not make a rule that you need to be at least on adept? The game is at a medium difficulty so it should be challenging but it should be also (very) easy

I don't think putting a poll would work, people vote on it without ever participating in the competition, which really svcks.

They do put the health AND the armor up (I'm one of those people). My characters are NEVER godlike, they are actually pretty weak, I just like the extra challenge

This has been brewing for a loooooong time. If we don't get the opportunity to give each other a damn good beating now.....it's gonna come to a head pretty soon. It's gonna be messy and violent. They are so cute! I had a dog that we had to give away because we had moved to an apartment and they didn't allow dogs there... "Biggest mistake of my life" my dad said, in a year, the dog died because she got sick and they didn't treat her. She was 13 years old (She was a month older then me) at the time, if she was still alive now (Which I doubt it), she would be 16 years old. Ah, I remember her barking at my mum when she started screaming at me because I ate all the cookies, I remember her drinking beer with my dad and eating ice-cream... Good times

Its always been easy for me to keep my 3 dogs still. Just tell them to get on the couch and they'll get comfortable enough to not move at all!

That always svcks... and thank you... I do miss Chyenne the people who got her sent us pic's for awhile...but they tapered off and I understand why... I am happy they could give the the medical attention that we couldn't.

I have 88...and I reduced by at least 1/2 of my "armor & clothing" mods... plus a couple things that can make the game a bit easier... because Immersive Creatures made it harder ( took that out this round).

But my 1st stop on the quest-line merry-go-round...will give me the armor that will be worn most of the way through anyway.. We just need "home cloths"...lol

I propose a parallel path, for those who choose to take it: The No-Craft Novice.

Join me in this terrifying adventure into the unknown! Clad only in what we can find or buy, using only weapons found in the game, we shall venture forth unafraid. We shall brew no brewery, smith no smithery, and enchant no enchantery (other than recharging enchanted weapons.)
