What's with the ageism? Age ain't nothing but a number barring any statutory laws and malicious intent. If someone with Esbern's/Delphine's age gap want to get it on that's their prerogative.

As others said, Ulfric is basically asking Delphine why she brought this old man with her to the meeting. He clearly knows who Delphine is, but has no idea who Esbern is, so he's asking her who he is. Delphine's response is basically, "Yeah, he's with me, and I advise you and Tullius to listen to him before you blow a gasket, OK?"

And at most, Esbern and Delphine are maybe 20 years apart. But I doubt they hold anything but mutual respect and friendship. For Talos' sake, they're trying to restore the Blades and hide from the Thalmor. Getting together to make a family isn't exactly a priority of theirs.

The Thalmor dossiers put Delphine at around 50 and Esbern at around 70

Eh, no. They seem more like close friends. I doubt they could get it on anyways, seeing as how old both of them are, let alone have kids. (Okay, maybe not kids, but as a quest in Markarth proved, a potion would help with six) Still, they're most likely not an item.

Sorry to be nitpicky, but this is one of my pet peeves regarding the ES. It is NOT medieval. The weapons, society, clothing, technology and architecture put it in an era that does not in any way, shape or form fit any single real-life era. Although, at least in Skyrim, children are considered advlts at age 16 apparenlty.

There is no "back then". This could be contemporary, or in the future, for all we know. This is a different world, with different traditions and culture, and just because their technology is mostly medieval, it doesn't mean the society as a whole is a carbon copy of European Middle Ages.

And back on topic - even IF Esbern and Delphine were an item (which nothing in the game even hints, imo), how in the name of Oblivion would that make him a pedophile? They are both advlt, very much so.

I don't think Esbern can have kids. Besides if they did have a baby I'd be the first one down to the temple to kill it.

Okay it is not medieval, it is before medieval, Roman and Viking time, and in that time there is no such thing as pedo either

Ancient civilizations are also advance, while Romans look like they are, the other places have advance technology better than them, 5000 years ago China is so advance than any civilizations on earth. Technology don't represent era, not like what some people believe. But ES combine technologies of ancient people like Roman, Viking, medieval, add some modern machinery and fantasy as a spice.

Pedo law is modern secular law, there is no such thing before our time today, that is what i mean. Ancient people do get married to girls below 12 years old, and it is normal at that time. What those girls want to do? There is no school, no whatever kids nowadays doing and involved, the environment is harsh, plagues everywhere, everybody carry weapons, bandits are everywhere, wars happen everyday, their parents could get killed any time in war, the safest thing to do is get married as early as possible. Kids below 12 at those time are not the same with kids below 12 nowadays.

But still, Esbern and Delphine are advlts, even if their age difference maybe about 20 years, it is not wrong in anyway. Who say old guys cannot get married? And yes, potions can help with virility, and Esbern can make potion from dragons, sure he can figure out making something to make him hard. But still, as old man he can travel far by foot and fighting a lot of enemies, i don't think he's weak, he still capable to make Delphine pregnant

That's unfair, its the closest setting we have to relate it to. As such I don't see the big deal. Nords aren't Vikings, yet many of us relate them to the Norseman.
