I thought I hallucinated I got a dx10 patch and the gfx were amazing. The difference was huge..............Then i realised I had just clicked the Crysis 1 icon, not the crysis 2 one.
lol... had to
I played warhead last night. 1920 x 1080 settings maxed. Crysis 2 looks better. A lot better.
Not at all...
Once you look past the (plenty) downright terrible textures in Crysis you wil also see that most of the physics and procedural destruction vanished. Even after getting past the 2d foliage and clutter you still have to face the fact that most of the objects in the world are baked straight into the levels not to mention the pastered quality of it. This is literally a case of getting away with it because the game is more shiney and oversaturated.
Obviousy if you want really good Crysis results you need to tweak the cfg but doing the very same thing in Crysis 2 does'nt realy help the game at all.
Also Crysis 1 screenshots do not do the game justice. Crysis 2 screenshots do it justice and then a few favours to boot.
