Ok, so I hated the oblivion planes, mostly because they freaked me out. I couldn't stand daedra and trying to survive there.
So I only entered when I had to. The thing is, i'm wondering if I missed out on anything, was there much else in these realms other then sigil stones? Any quests or anything interesting?
Yea, they freaked me out the first time I entered a few of them, but after awhile (and a different character) it became rather addicting, going into those gates and closing them. You didn't miss much though. I think there's like 7 different "worlds", which are more or less generic copies of one another.
Basically, if you've closed one gate, you've closed 'em all. The only difference is some Oblivion areas are tougher to navigate than others, and the Sigil stones themselves vary quite a bit in their magical effects.
Am I the only one who liked these gates...
My first character who attempted the MQ (Renee Gade I) hated them. Igodah Go^Pe and my male wizard character both got more into the spirit of tackling them, mostly because their egos got a little bigger with every gate which got closed. Matter of fact, after The Grey Wizard finished up the Main Quest, he actually started to
miss having gates open up all over the place. The Grey Wizard is currently bored, with little to do, matter of fact.
