ok, that explains.
How I imagine Pellitine to be is like something out the Jungle Book cartoon and Anequina is to be similar to somewhere like like Rajasthan.
With silk & spice caravans of camels and hordes of assassins and thieves to watch out for. Cities with busy marketplaces overlooked by guards in chainmail and curved swords protecting the merchants from an underworld of thieves guilds and skooma dens.
Hammerfell I imagine to be just desert and more North African with square stone buildings like that in Egypt or the old Bible stories from school and having more African influences. That with a bit of ancient Mediterranean influence of places like Egypt.
That just my interpretation of it.
I always say that the proven success to a good fantasy / rpg universe is to base it on the history and cultures we know so it allows our minds to be able to change and bend it into any way we want.
Well, going by what we saw in Redguard, and the general impression of the lore and all that, it would seem to me that Hammerfell is more based off Middle-Eastern and Islamic style, also a lot of Northern African stuff, like on the Barbary coast.

and Elsweyr would be a bit more Indian and Egyptian/African inspired with a bit of all-round desert/jungle styled stuff.

with probably the Indian stuff being more to the South and the African stuff more to the North in the desert part.
