My list is horrible too. i loved two worlds and Alpha protocol.
I picked up Alpha Protocol on Steam for cheap. It was unplayable until I modified the ini (stuttering mouse issues made aiming impossible), but once I did I really enjoyed that game. One of the better games I played this year in fact.
My favorites are a matter of pure enjoyment from the perspective of a casual gamer void of any rpg calculus

Elite! I am that old, and I remember when vector graphics creating a fuss in the computer club.
Skyrim is my game of choice for the moment, but I'm not sure how I'll feel about it a few months from now (I still have Uncharted 3, AC: Revelations, Arkham City and Witcher 2 to play - and I'm very interested in seeing what The Last Guardian, Mass Effect 3 and I Am Alive have to offer me.

I agree, it was the only game in the series that I enjoied for several years, the latter ones are garbage compared to it.
It would be number one if they would come out with a patch that fixes the things that they broke in the last patch they came out with. I cannot play the game right now because of how broken it is.
Nothing bethesda makes will hold the top position until they make rain puddle and run down the streets and not pass through walls. At least the buildings cast shadows now.
