Did Skyrim make your top 5?

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 12:11 am

In no particular order:

Banjo-Kazooie
Age of Mythology
Mega Man X
Fallout 3
Star Wars: Battlefront 2

Skyrim is amazing, but I put so much time into the games above that it will take a while for Skyrim to match them.

1. Baldur's Gate

Modern Warfare (the good one)
Starcraft
Skyrim, baby.
World of Warcraft
Ocarina of Time

EDIT: Other than Baldur's Gate being my favorite (all of them, actually, BG II, Icewind Dale, Tales of the Sword Coast... they're all #1) nothing's really in order.

1. Super Smash Bros Brawl
2. Skyrim
3. Minecraft
4. Mass effect 2
5. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

So yes, it did make the top 5:D

Good point. Minecraft should totally be on my top ten; it's the only game where hours can pass like minutes while I try and build myself a castle of doom lol.

Just pretend #3 is tied with #2 cause I love both equally. My top 3 are permanent and after putting them in my top 3, it can't change. 4th and 5th favourites can change if I find better games.

1. Final Fantasy VI (6, not that 7 piece of ****)
2. Dragon Age: Origins
3. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
4. Minecraft
5.Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

I have bad hopes about the future of Dragon Age, what with Bioware ruing their masterpieces with multiplayer and the mediocre DA2. But Origins will remain in my heart forever, no matter how bad the series gets. I'm glad I'm not the only one with it on their top 5 :P

While it certainly is a great game, I wouldn't say top 5 (at the time I played the games for the first time):

#1: Mass Effect 1+2 (yes, I love it, deal with it ^^)
#2: Star Wars: Knights of the old republic
#3: Dungeon Keeper
#4: Morrowind
#5: Gothic II

Skyrim would be in the top 10 though, along with DA: Origins, The Secret of Monkey Island, Anno 1602 and Fallout 3 (Vanilla I like it more than New Vegas, modded it's the opposite)

//edit

I am kind of sad though, that I see many games here, I have never played like Deus Ex and Ocarina of Time :'(

Yes it did, on a 3rd place
There are 11 games in my top 5 somehow.

Fallout 2 is first just because everything in it is perfect, too much explaining

Super mario bros 1, 3 on 2nd place, amazing adventures, games of my childhood which is long gone

Skyrim and icewind dale are 3rd because they are both great adventures, with great storylines, great atmosphere, also skyrim has beautiful lands and nice graphics and icewind dale had amazing magic and enemy creatures.
Devil May Cry 3 also third because it had amazing storyline, fighting brother was just epic and very emotional, lots of cool humor too :D

Civ 4 with rise of mankind mod and call to power 1 and 2 on fourth place, all of them were great strategy games, where you have to think really strategic, it's amazing to see civilization growing and everything.

Heroes of might and magic 3 fifth, epic atmosphere, epic game, again game from my childhood when I was playing it with my brother.
Mafia 2 on fifth place too because it has great story and I like these old times with mafia

1. Fallout 2
2. Super mario bros 1, 3
3. Skyrim, icewind dale, devil may cry 3
4. Civ 4 with mods, call to power 1, 2
5. Heroes of might and magic 3, mafia 2

1. NiGHTS into Dreams
2. Sonic 3
3. Bayonetta
4. Jet Set Radio Future
5. Klonoa: Door to Phantomile

This isn't exactly my top 5, there's too many games I love, but Skyrim's not in the top regardless.

It wouldn't have made the top 20.
It's hard to assign a particular order:

The original Fallouts, Planescape Torment, Age of Wonders 1, Morrowind, Civilization 2, Heroes of M&M 2, Nethergate & Avernum(1, 2, 3) series, Arcanum, Total War series, Gothic 1&2, ... - probably still a lot more before Skyrim.

I haven't done an official greatest games of all time list but I imagine when it's all said and done, Skyrim will be in my top 5.

It's probably too soon to tell, and I don't have a concrete top 5, but Skyrim is definitely a contender. Some others:

Vampire: TM -- Bloodlines
Darklands
Daggerfall
Pirates! (There's not a bad version)
Civilization 3 or 4
Shining Force II
Diablo/Diablo II/Warcraft 2/Warcraft 3/Starcraft/Starcraft 2
Zelda: OOT
Medieval: Total War
Early 90s Sierra Adventure Games

Okay...way too many, this is utterly hopeless. It's good to have a hobby with so many classics, I guess.

I didn't like the metal music in Warrior Within, it got pretty annoying and I'm not very fond of metal. The combat was better but the gore was pretty uneccesary.

No, it's probably not in the top 5 games I've played this year.

I'm impressed with Skyrim's world but the rest of the game is too simplistic for my tastes.

Hmmm, let me think....

1. Final Fantasy X
2. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
3. Mass Effect 2
4. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
5. Tales of Symphonia

Geez that was tough. There is no way it will beat FFX though. It might beat Twilight Princess, but I've cried so much in both so who knows?

My top five in order....

1: Mass Effect
2: Skyrim
3: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
4: Mass Effect 2
5: Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem

Note:
I think that Skyrim may have borrowed a bit from Eternal Darkness. The way Dragon Shouts are built out of words is almost exactly like how Spells are created in Eternal Darkness. Additionally, the puzzles in Skyrim are very similar to the puzzles in Eternal Darkness, and the Draugr look exactly like Eternal Darkness' main protagonist.
