Why?
most people just read whats on the package. they see ramen. they say ramen.
its not noodles because its not just noodles alone.
technically ramen is a style of preparation and service.
if you want people to call it anything have them call it maruchan as that is the brand name.

Bah! Why waste money on ramen when you can eat for free! Just boil some birch bark and grass clippings in a pot of water and you'll have a nutritious, if disgusting, broth!
