Did the Dark Brotherhood kill Countess Llathasa Indarys?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 5:40 pm

During a Thieves Guild mission, I tried to ask her ghost what happen, but I got attacked instead. :)

It was that time of the month I guess

I believe she knows what she's talking about when it comes to the latest court scuttlebutt. She seems like the go to person for inside the court news, all the way over there in Anvil.

Janus Hassildor is, not to mention, the only count that seems to have any balls.

I agree, and it also seems to me that the two younger ruling Countesses, Milona Umbranox and Narina Carvain, rank right behind Count Hassildor in that respect. Even Ariana Valga has more balls than her useless son-in-law Marius Caro, but she's still a far cry from the other Countesses.

Is it just me or does anyone else want to punch Regulus Terentius in his pompus nose whenever he talks to you?

Oh yeah, the countess of Anvil and Bruma also have quite the ovaries too, especially the Bruma one. The others are quite weak, and useless. Especially the Bravil and Leyawinn counts :flame:

Whether for misplaced loyalty or lack of initiative, it is a shame that Viera Lerus, the Bravil Watch Captain, has not organized a coup.

The count is a doppelganger made by his court mage, an unapologetic daemon trafficer and member of the disident collective known only as the Tharnatos.

I believe she's loyal to the way the Count was before he became the way he is now. However, I wouldn't expect her to allow the situation to continue forever, 'cause she's got some guts too. She'd make a great Countess of Bravil. In the chaos of the post-Oblivion Crisis I think such a coup could be pulled off with limited casualties.

Yeah. In truth, it never occurred to me that the Brotherhood could be behind it. I always figured the Count did it himself.

I doubt it, since it becomes pretty clear how much the count loved her during the Oblivion attack on Cheydinhal and the Thieves Guild quest....

With the same passion he'd make love to her with one night he'd pusher down the stairs the next morning (her birth control failed, so he improvised). This is truely the gossiping, romantic old widows' corner of the forum, and I'm one of them :ahhh:

I personally believe that, due to his being a drunken worthless man, beat her, then pushed her down the stairs to make it look like an accident.

If I may say what I believe.
The Dark Brotherhood had nothing to do with it.

Of course it's just speculations at this moment.

She clearly died of not having dinner ready on time.

Another bad feeling I get is if the count's son inherits his seat...Cheydenhal is screwed and probably would either be replaced by disgruntled citizens, or almost become a 2nd Bravil. Seriously, his kid is nothing more than a spoiled [censored] head, whom I should have tossed into the lava pits of Oblivion, and let the daedra play around with his smoldering corpse (if there is any)
Helseth wouldn't allow it. By talking with a bunch of people, I get the impression that Indarys is a cat's paw for Helseth and so it would be if Farwil took the seat too. So, if he screws up bad enough, Helseth could maneuver to get him replaced with another cat's paw.

Farwil isn't that bad, and there's hope for him yet (pay close attention to him at the end of the quest to rescue him - you get the fainest impression of emerging maturity, he just needs to embrace it instead of reject it, which he will with help from his father). The city I worry about is Bravil. The town guard should stage a coup and depose Regulus Terentius and install http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Viera_Lerus as Countess before Gellius Terentius has a chance to take over the throne.

I don't know or care what happened to her because I spent a lot of time in Oblivion trying to kill all the Aristocrats of Cyrodiil. Not easy when most of them can't die.
