Forget about the white water for a second, and look at all the other instances when we saw the water in the trailer. Now remember that white water is not like that water, it being different in that it is white, foamy, and looks all together different than normal water. Now go look up white water on the big internet, and then compair. Finally, go try to find many white water rapids in games of this scope and compare.

Done? Good.

I thought it looked amazing.

I still think Morrowind graphics look amazing.
Im old. I remember playing pong at my friends house, who had the first pc in the street.

Skyrim looks like a Vincente Segrelles piece of art.
Its beautiful.

That being said, graphics, who cares?
I want fabulous gameplay, gripping quests, NPC's that are awesome like Divayth Fyr or Barenziah or Vivec were.

Graphics are the icing on the cake, and Id still play Skyrim and love it if it used minecraft graphics.

Hmmm, I take it you think it looked bad? Not really sure of your point there. Let me say, I think Skyrim will be amazing and beat TW2 in just about every way. That being said, comparing the video that I linked to what we have seen of Skyrim, I would say TW2 tops Skyrims graphics in textures, water (TW2 has rivers as well), lighting and environment. Skyrim destroys TW2 in character models and animation though. Overall, I think Skyrim looks amazing, but I expected it to far surpass TW2 in every aspect. I guess I was just spoiled by Oblivion coming out with the launch of a new console generation. As it stands now, Skyrim will be the best RPG of the year, but probably only top 5 in graphics. To me they don't matter that much, but it's still a minor disappointment.

This isn't an FPS where graphics are needed. It's an RPG. Graphics are secondary. The water looked fine. What to you REALLY want, pretty water or an RPG of epic proporations? It seems to me that some here care more about the graphics than the actual game and that's the whole problem.

Laughing and saying something svcks does not an intelligent post make. If it is so laughably bad looking, care to elaborate? I'm not in love with the game, but after putting around 30 hours in it, I can tell you it is a very good looking game with great atmosphere. The graphics are actually one of the high points. I guess you are either just blind or a really devoted fan. TW2 might not be as good as an ES game, but saying the graphics are laughably bad is an insult to the developers. The textures, lighting, and effects are all better than anything I have seen of Skyrim thus far.
