Did you keep the wrist irons?

Post » Tue Jul 19, 2011 1:53 am

As the only non armor hand slot items in the game, I'm pretty sure that a poll would reveal that a large number of players keep them.

We′ll see :)

I for one did not keep them unfortunately. I can′t go back to retrieve them as I threw them away at the very beginning, perhaps even in the cell and that part is blocked from a certain point. I backtracked to Baurus but that was as far as I could go.

So tell us! Did you keep them?

I usually kept them and enchanted them for when I preferred not to wear gloves.
Although I remember one time I set up a little shrine in Battlehorn Castle with them and had a dagger and some torches laid out as a memorial to my character's past.
Good times.

I had a character who threw them in Lake Rumare the second she was out of the sewers, then couldn't find them again. My other characters have kept them to use for enchanting.

Nah, never really saw the need in them. From a realistic point of view, they'd cause suspicion with the guards.

Yes, they look cool, and they serve as a reminder of where I started out.

I kept them till I found other gloves. I like filling up slots with as much equipment as possible, so once i found something better, I tossed them.

I'm sure you meant gauntlets, OB has no gloves. The wrist irons fill the slot, as a non armor. Thus a mage doesn't carry a penalty for wearing them.

EDIT: @ everyone : Yes, I have a double post...send me a bill...

I've got them somewhere. Might be at the old house in a chest untouched, but I have them.

I usually just give them away to the first merchant I find.

I usually keep them, but that's mostly because I'm a packrat in TES games and somehow usually manage to always have a full inventory full of worthless junk. Oh, and they have no weight. No weight means I can lose them amidst all the other crap I have without getting overencumbered, which is a huge plus.

I never keep them for any character. I throw them away as soon as I can take them off. None of my characters are going to walk around with a pair of handcuffs on (now if one of them was into bdsn then maybe...)
