SP: Did you kill final boss??

Post » Thu Dec 30, 2010 7:12 pm

The stick your fist in or jump into the alien tower ~ Now die alien.... muh ha ha ha was kinda anti climatic for me. Don't get me wrong I like the game the graphics and the destroyed New York feel. But it needed some sort of mini boss at the end of certain spots different ones (not just the Refurb StarWars AT-ST thingy) It was cool once but it needed more differant ones. I am talking about at least one nasty svcker that needs something to fall on them to die. Like a building or something. Bigger the better

Dude do you even remember the boss on the original crysis? What a glitchy **** up mess. I do not need that again tyvm.

That boss fight takes a lot of horsepower to render everything going on in the atmosphere plus the detail of the boss. It isn't glitchy at all for me.

I was very disappointed in the final fight. Remembering crysis 1's HUGE mech alien thing that arose out of the sea next to the aircraft carrier. That moment literally made my jaw hit the floor and say ..... Holy ....... $h|t .....

that was one of the most epic moments in video games. although its always the same pattern with final bosses i think there just MUST be a final uber foe that takes the buscuit from everything you have seen in that game before.

Cinematics and cutscenes were great in both 1 and 2.

But the WOW factor wasn't as big in 2.
lmao i remember i ran out of all the ammo & guns fighting the last boss in crysis 1...
that was fun.

exactly, when you finish a game you need a big challenge, and crysis 2 didn't delivered...

I also had a WTF face when it finished :-/

You dont even need a huge boss either, you could have at least an epic battle going on or something. Something climatic. How about a huge final clash between marines and the ceph to provide as much cover for alcatraz as hes trying to save the world? And no, i dont mean a half dozen marines vs a half dozen ceph, thats lame. Since consoles cant handle so many things on screen, one massive boss would have been the best route i think. Having those cloak dudes didnt even add anything to the game besides a LOL-factor since they were a joke to beat and were pretty lame overall.

The only real climactic moments in this game are the fight at the transit station and the one at Times Square, and even in those you can just find the right spot and take out the Ceph troops while avoiding the big walker, then deal the pain from out of it's reach. If it's lucky it gets an EMP mine in close enough now and then to half drain your suit power.

Cry 1 had a lot of keep your arse moving moments where the AI were either right in your face or doing fly bys with ice crystal and freeze ray blasts to keep you honest. The KPAs were also more keen and effective at finding you and suppressing/killing you than these CELL clowns. Anyone impressed by this game has to be a couch gamer at heart.

*coughexpansioncough* They'll add those goodies then like any other snake oil selling title these days. Problem is I wonder how many people will still be playing the game by that point....

where is it? lol

no money to design one?

I think nomad killed it in crysis 1. If you think about it the ceph were stronger in crysis 1. The ceph in crysis 2 are the cephs version of the national guard , where in the first game you got to fight there real army

ever heard of space marine and imperial guard? haha

The aliens also went stupid when they couldn't realize the one threat was going to sabotage their main weapon and only put out more small fry to deal with you and the nano-suit. I was hoping at least they would buff up security by a lot but it seemed like everything was just working out in your favor. This reboot was **** to be honest, storywise.

Just finished my run on Hard with no cloak, suppressors or armor, and have done a couple levels with the same on PHW so far. Plays a bit better this way, esp on PHW, but it's still sad how inept the CELL are. They'll come looking for you when they hear you and even seem to have motion trackers too, yet they can't find you when you're moving within 20' of them uncloaked.

SPOILERS
all games dont need a "last boss" fight theres quite a bit of games out there that will give you a one hell of a epic experience and the last boss kills the excitement by being 2 easy or simple mechanics that make think that should have been the first boss.

for example mass effect 2 very good game until the last boss which lolwtfjoke?
mgs1 another amazing game and the last fight is a damn rail shooter is a joke
borderlands last boss in the vault lol now the boss wasnt that hard but the loot he drop kills it

all games do not need the last boss fight they can have something epic like halo reach you fight until you die and see a badass cutscene of the main character kicking ass until he got overwhelm by enemies.

but i got to say crysis 2 had a very good ending especially the part at the end "they call me prophet" that was a very epic line to end the game

WTF?

The last boss in mgs1 was rex/liquid. The jeep was just the escape before the place got bombed.

It's not just the lack of a final boss fight that makes the ending bad. From the time you hook back up with Gould and Tara after falling off the bridge they decide instead of epic battles they'll give you crap weapons. Excuse me but I don't want to be forced to use an X-MIKE, K-Volt or Marshall, they're 3 of the worst weapons in the game.

K-Volt is the best gun against most of creatures excluding mini-bosses..

thats a nice way to put it, i mean, in Crysis 1 they did have better technology aswell, i was quite disappointed that there wasnt a major boss at the end but nothing to go raging about, if a crysis 3 comes out, then there should be a gigantic boss where you need to use all of your suit powers to defeat
In Crysis 3 they'll slim down the suit powers to 1 to make it even easier for the consoles.

Or the **** rushers and campers

Yea the ending was disappointing. Just kill like 4 stealth ceph? didnt even need the stealth nanocatylist, just use nanovision and you can see them. took me only 1 try. Some of the battles earlier were WAY harder than that battle.
I agree ++++++++
