Did you like TES the first time you played?

Doesn't matter which TES game you first played, the question is as in the title: do you like it from the beginning or did it take some time?

I'll quite openly admit I hated my first attempt at playing, when I first got Skyrim (see http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1484832-how-did-you-find-your-fist-tes/#entry23380397), and very nearly gave up on the entire series after a few hours. I'm still trying to like Oblivion, and am in two minds about trying Morrowind at all.

Oh,

YEAH!

Morrowind was great. So different from Fallout, Planescape and other rpg's I knew about. T'was such a fresh experience. It was love at first sight (seyda neen). The freedom of movement, all that insane clutter that could be picked up, all that scale of a huge open world full of wonders and dangers and treasures... it was overwhelming and painfully beautiful.

It thought my first, Morrowind, was okay. I liked it, but it didn't knock my socks off or anything. I played it for about a month and then I was ready to move on.

At that moment Neverwinter Nights 1 came out. Neverwinter Nights is really the game that opened my eyes to roleplaying. I had been a first-person shooter gamer until then. I played NWN obsessively until Tribunal came out and then I drifted back to Morrowind. By then mods were appearing. It was mods that really got me hooked on Morrowind.

Ironically, my opinion has shifted completely since those days. Nowadays I adore all of Bethesda's games and can't stand Bioware's games.
