I havent used Battle Net for along time, till today i got Reaper of souls, i went to download D3, and was waiting for it to start Battle Net patched like many of the others do, and it started loading, it took me awhile, while i was doing other things to then realise it was digitally downloading a 15 gig file, and not downloading off disk, unlike Steam that at least you know, i put the disk in the drive and it didnt download off the disk but the net, i had 11 gig left for the month, now i have no idea whether its going to force me to download Reaper of Souls off the net. I have about 260 MB at of 24 KBS now, it didnt give me any warning i was going to download this off the net, if i did i would have waited till next month when i would have had at least 70 gig, this really svcks just like all the others, but at least Steam puts some time into making a more quality product with more options and warnings.

They do? I recently bought a Mount and Blade Collection that turned out to be Mount and Blade, which I already had, plus Steam download codes for Warband and Fire and Steel. So the games I actually wanted weren't really on the disk. I don't have any caps, but getting surprised by hours of install time instead of minutes was a shot to the teeth.

This thread reminds me of a dream I had last night in which I was playing the ESO beta but then, in the dream, I remembered I uninstalled it after the beta had finished and I was freaking out because the download size was 40GB+ and I was going over my monthly allotted bandwidth.

What a sad world that we live in.
