it says to get the upgrades it didnot say you had to upgrade ed-e

You don't have to upgrade him. All you have to do is find the upgrades.

Has anyone given any thought that Ulysses might be ex Enclave?

i always thought it was a little odd that there was no way to re-repair ED-E if he gets destroyed, i mean a human i can understand, but this is a machine you have to repair anyways to get as a companion.

Yeah, I figured that would be one of the first things anyone thought. Though given that he sounds nothing like the Enclave and collaberates with Brotherhood of Steel members it's not going to do him any favours as far as I am concerned.

There is a difference in fixing to get it powered up and floating and data ports working and trying to fix it after it gets blown to smithereens.



Son of an Enclave, like Archade. Would explain why he believes so much in America and that to him it is only sleeping. That or he is just a history buff.

I agree, but I did notice that Ulysses is to young to be an ex-Enclave but I would not be suprised if he is a son of an Enclave member.
