Hi,
I'm having the weirdest low FPS issue. I'm running Skyrim with a lot of mods (over 80 at this time) and with an ENB, and everything was fine until today.
Now I'm getting only about 20-22fps at all times (inside, outside, in a fight), and it's not good enough - aiming is hard as it is. What's more, the FPS do not depend upon graphical settings at all (tried changing to lowest, tried changing resolution), nor on the ENB being enabled (I even tried removing it altogether, no change).
Now for the funny part: if I load an older save, it runs smooth as butter (40+ fps at all times) - I have chacked all saves I have and it seems it was fine up until yesterday evening. I have not installed any new mods recently.
I have just now checked the save sizes, and it's somewhat worrying:
yesterday, 9PM - 10 064 KB
yesterday, 10.30 PM - 12 303 KB (this is the last one that seems to run fine)
today, 10 AM - 16 215 KB
today, 11:30 AM - 17 250 KB
Sooooo... is there anything I can do besides re-playing that bit and watching the save sizes?
I don't want to go back to that save (gained 5 levels since...), but I might have to. I have tried running the save cleaner, the texture optimizer, no change :/
My specs:
i7-2600k (@4.5GHz)
8GB ram
GTX680
Update: I have also noticed that while playing that old save (with the good fps) the CPU usage in task manager is about 25-30%, but after loading one of the later ones the usage is only 15-20%.
