A different kind of (tempoarary) Freezing

Post » Mon Jul 01, 2013 4:23 am

Hi. I only run the basic game. No DLCs, no mods. But I do have this issue of the game constantly, temporarily freezing. It seems to occur when loading new outdoor cells for the first time or returning to an already once loaded cell after a period of time spent some distance elsewhere. The freezes last for a few seconds (3-5). If I didn't know better, I would say it is some kind of pre-cache issue. Skyrim set my settings to high and that is where I left them.

I have already checked out the sticky on tweaking from Nvidia and scanned this forum for similar threads (but found none).

My rig is:

3.2GHz dual core

4 GB RAM

Windows XP

Nvidia 550 TI

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

I would say this would be a mod problem but you have no mods....Hmm...

Have you tried to lower your resolution ????

Do you make graphic changes from within the game or from Nvidia control panel ????

Can you check your save file sizes, if you have some abnormal large save files ???

You play on XP that's strange why you don't try Windows 7 ???
