Mark was crouched in the corner, shooting Enclave soldiers left and right when the creature showed up again in the midst of a stampede. Using the chaos to sneak past the Enclave soldiers who were being slaughtered by the creature and the traps, he activated the turrets, killing even more Enclave soldiers. The rest were being mopped up by Mister Gutsty's and Sentry Bots that joined the frey. He looked and saw Nathan holding Det. Mark said to him, "Surrender, I dont feel like killing you Nathan."

The chaos hindered Henry and the Enclave but despite the turrets coming online and killing many of his troops Henry was happy to see Nathan helping out as well. Henry saw Mark hold Nathan hostage and while sentry bots were arriving too Henry saw Mark and came down on him with a trench knife in order to rescue Nathan.

((I don't think you can start killing other people's chracters, Norman.))

Hearing the screams of dying people reminded Starr of the time she was stuck in the maintenance tunnels with the ghouls killing her friends. To top it off, she was helpless, just as she was in the tunnel. She began to cry.

Through teary eyes Starr noticed her gun and armor were laying in a corner, if someone noticed it they would surely find her.

OOC don't take it the wrong way I'm simply initiating combat and wounding him slightly. I'll edit the post to seem less unfair

Mark then dodged a knife strike from Henry and pulled out both his machete and Combat Knife in a fighting stance. He then tried to hit Henry with a heavy chop to his shoulder.

Mark hit Henry in the shoulder joint and got in right between the weak joint and injured Henry. Henry kicked back at him and traded a series of blows. Henry had the advantage in strength due to the power armor so he hoped to knock Mark out using his strength. Grabbed Mark's head and tried to hit him hard in the head with a good'ol fashioned elbow strike.

seeing that he had been forgotten in the chaos nathan pulled his 44. pistol out and shot at Mark "number one rule of taking a hostage" he punctuate his remark with another shot from his gun
"don't take your eyes off 'em"

Mark used his machete's hilt to smash through one of the "eyes" on Henry's helmet, causing him to drop Mark so fast that the first shot missed, but the second one grazed his shoulder. Mark then kicked Nathan's 44. Magnum from his hands and held his machete to his throat while his Combat Knife was pointed at Henry's throat. Mark then said, "Are you guys ready to surrender now, I'd rather not kill you." He then yelled to Dimitri to keep an extra eye on them.

"Not so fast Mark!" Henry was about to pull of a risky stunt when the Monster turned on Mark. Henry Yelled out and puushed everyone out of the way as it started to cut apart everything in order to kill the three of them. "In to the labs! At this point they had all put aside their differences temporarily and were sprinting for the elevator that led to the underground test labs. Henry made it first and held the door as Nathan and Mark hurried to get in. "Close the door fast it's closing in!" Henry unloaded an entire clip of plasma rounds in an attempt to stop the rampaging beast..

((OOC: It's nearly 12:00 here and I've got school in the morning so this is my last post for tonight.))

Mark was just about to try to defend himself from Henry's new attack when the creature noticed the three and tried to kill them. Previous affiliations were forgootten as Mark, Henry, and Nathan ran towards the elevator. Mark, Det on his back barely made it as the door closed. Once inside he yelled, "What about Tom and Dimitri? Not to mention that Starr's not in full combat condition yet. We have to go back and get them!"

"You're right, but how will we do that hmm? We can't just go rushing out there!" They stopped at a maintenance floor directly underneath the infirmary. From here they could see the fighting above, "Look there's Starr! OK perfect! all we have to do is sneak them down through that manhole. Henry climbed up cautiously and looked around. There was still plenty of people up there, not to mention the Mantis, who was killing one of Roy's men, Grin. "Starr! Over here! Seeing that she could not make it by herself Henry built up a burst of courage and ran towards her and lifted her up and ran back to the manhole. He unceremoniously dumped her in the hole and jumped down and shut it again. "Well we've got one, now we just have to locate Demetri."

OOC: I would contest the validity of manageing to hold off two people with knives without a wall
Nathan sighed before pulling multiple plasma grenades from his bag and securing them to his belt the plasma pistol replacing his lost 44. Nathan wasn't the type to morne the inanimate but he had kept that gun in working condition for five years so morne slightly he did.
standing under the hole nathan caught the woman before setting her down on the floor. looking to henry when he reached the bottom of the manhole nathan spoke.
"Henry your aware of what will happen once we save these people correct?" Nathan looked at the man squarely "they will kill you at the very least and more then likely myself as well, if you assume that they will be gracious to you for saving them and let you off the hook you might as well shoot yourself now."

"I'll think of something but for now we need all the firepower we can get if we're going to make it," Henry turned to Mark, "I got Starr, do you think you can find Demetri?"


OOC OK now for real this is my last post for the night

The creature had cornered Demetri, Duran and Saturn had ran to safety, he hope Starr and Mark had gotten away safely, and grin was laying, in many places on the floor, the creature having ripped him to shreds. The creature walked slowly forward, and with a sudden burst of energy charged forward. Demetri just had about enough time to move out the way as the creature barreled through the thick concrete wall.

Demetri used this time to run for it, finding the manhole cover he took off his minigun and dropped it in first, "Give me moment," Demetri said and went back, the creature had seemed on running and had gone through serveral rooms. Demetri quickly set up some charges, waiting for the creature's return, Demetri posisitioned himself in the best escape route should the need arise.

The creature came back, roaring at Demetri for it's miss. Running forward it set of the trap and with that an explosion which rocked the building, it knocked Demetri off his feet, quickly scrambling back up, he could see that alot of debris had fallen on the creature, yet it was only stunned. Taking the time he went into the manhole, "We have a few minutes," Demetri said, though it can't be much reasurance coming from man who has broken goggles, another cuts and brusies for an army and has lost a large chunk of his armour and shouldpad.

Starr was paralyzed in fear. she had watched people get torn apart by the giant insect, and now thought she'd been captured by the Enclave, to top it off her armor and M4 were left near the bed she was at. There was nothing Starr could do, except sit against the wall, so she waited for someone to make the next move.

Demetri crouched down next to Starr, "We'll be alright, don't worry," Demetri said, he had noticed she wasn't exactly in the best state of mind at this time it seems. "You alright to walk?" he asked, he'll carry her again if he had to, he had decided to ignore the enclave officer for now, they had to survive, not fight, if the creature was here it could prove troublesome, and the more guns the better.

"I think I can walk," Starr whispered.

As she got up her legs started wobbling, before she fell Demetri caught her.

"I need a crutch or something," Starr said, "Or you might have to carry me, but I don't want to slow us down."

Demetri glanced around, "I don't think thats happening, I may have to carry you," Demetri said, all around him there was a small amount of debris, but nothing that could be used as a crutch. "Well sit down for no..." Demetri looked up, hearing stirring of the creature above them. A few moments later it roared and then walked away, out the infirmary, "Seems we have a few moments peace," Demetri added. Putting Starr back carefully on the floor he went over and grabbed his pack, he had made it a habit to attach it to his ammocase because it kept it out the way, and also made sure he rarely lost it, pulling out a small stick of some sort and shook it until it started glowing green, helping light the dark tunnel "Useful things these, found them in a factory once, whole crate of them."

Demetri also grabbed a bottle of water and sat down next to Starr, then queitly, "Seems the [censored] has hit the fan," Demetri muttered to himself.

Starr nodded in agreeance.

"I wish i could more help than hindrance right now," she said to Demetri.

"look on the bright side," Demetri said, "You ain't dead, could easily be worse." Demetri knew he was right, at the moment that was the only bright side of any of them.

"True, but for how long? We're outgunned, and that thing is still up top looking for us," Starr said.

She wasn't trying to be a downer, but she had a bad feeling about things.

"I Understand your concerns," Demetri said, "Where we are, how we are isn't the best situation, all of us have some wounds or another." Demetri pulled out the dogtags from his pocket again and grasped them in his head, resting his head on his heads he said, "Accept that you're going to die, but when? No changing when, all you can do is hope that you can fight it off as long as possible."

((OOC: I didn't expect it to work anyway, I figured at the least I'd be knocked out since I couldn't keep my eyes on both of you at the same two.))

Mark turned on his Pip-Boy light and looked around the dark laboratory. He then said, "I never expected that this job would leave me inside a lab with an oversized insect trying to kill us. The way I see it, one of two things is going to happen. Either we kill that bug, or it kills us."Even as the thought went through his mind Mark found it suicidal, but they were running out of options.

"I doubt that thing will find us down here. We should try to find the vaults entrance," Starr said to Mark.

She saw Demetri holding some dog tags, "Where'd you get those?"

Starr pulled off the gas mask, seeing as there wasn't any need for it anymore.

"Had 'em for awhile," Demetri replied, "Oldest thing I have, intresting story behind them." Demetri just looked down to the floor, looking at Starr he held the tags up and showed her the text ingraved into them, 'Sergent Demetri Green'. Demetri looked at Mark, "I knew you guessed, I just wanted you off my back at the time," Demetri told him, "I keep them as a reminder of that day."
