Demetri had followed, looking up at the building they arrived outside, he saw a large vault door hanging from it, covered in the foliage they had taken this part of the city. "Took your sweet time, thought you be here earlier." Duran said. Demetri just pushed past him and started working on opening the door. Getting it open he is met by the ruined reception of the building. "So which floor?" Demetri asked the rest of the group.

Mark said, "Our best bet would probably be the main Vault-Tec computer, though it may contain false data. At the least we could probably get Pip-Boy's here and those are always useful."

Henry waited as the battery on the sonic repulsion field started waning. There was no hope left! I must get back to base alive with the GECK! It will save thousands of lives! Henry decided to go on the roof and watch the situation. The group would probably go and help Tom at the Vault Tech HQ. They would probably find lots of bodies on the 3rd floor as Henry detonated the crashed vertibird's fuel reserve there taking most of the tribals down but leaving the stairs destroyed. Henry used his binoculars to look around, to the west was a settlement of some sort and further east was the Vault Tech HQ. There were too many factions involved in this conflict and Henry realized that this was a matter that Colonel Autumn needed to know about. The nearest long range radio station was to the north at the old news station. Henry would have to make his way to it and have the Enclave bring its might upon the city of Orlando, there was no other way to ensure victory. At that moment, all hell broke loose. THe field all of a sudden failed and Henry was Confronted with a mass of Jumpers swarming in through every possible entry way. They wriggled their way through windows, busted doors and crawled out of the ground itself!

Demetri had a look around a room and found a large board on a wall, pulling vines off it he found a guide to the floors, "Seems the main archives are on the top floor, administration and pip-boy programming on the second floor, hit there first?" Demetri asked

Mark said, "Sure, I'll lead the way." He then ran up the stairs to the second floor. Along the way, Mark noticed the huge amount of Jumper bodies and thought, "Someone got here first, but who?"

Starr was at the rear of the group watching their back. She wasn't going to let another jumper near her. She noticed all the dead jumpers scattered throughout the halls.

"Tom did this all himself?" she questioned.

She looked at her gun to make sure the safety wasn't on again.

"Don't think so," Demetri said, "No way could someone of taken this many out with out his back watched..." Demetri looked around and found a computer terminal, seeing it was on, "To hazard a guess, but I think out talon friends have been here," Demetri frowned, "They have a headstart it seems." Demetri sat down at the terminal and started to go through the list, "Seems there are pip-boys avalible," Demetri said, he also ripped the data from the terminal and put it on a holo disk, "Must not forget what Roy said, it could be a fake," Demetri said, "Maybe head up to the archives now?"

Mark said, "Ok, but first..." He then clicked on the Pip-Boy dispensing button and a Pip-Boy 3000 came out of a slot. Mark read the instructions and then put it on his left forearm. Mark then said, "Alright, I'm ready to go as soon as everyone has what they need."

Demetri threw Mark the holotape he made, "Upload that if possible, even if it is the fake one we know where not to go," Demetri said.

Duran looked at the group with glee, they were getting closer to the G.E.C.K, he could feel it, they could live in a world which was right, not this screwed over reality they lived in. Duran pulled Grin and Saturn in closer to him and started to speak with hushed words.

Demetri looked over to Roy's people, he was getting uneasy with them, who knew what they were talking about. "Best get moving, upper floors it seems," Demetri said, "Don't forget to check rooms for Tom as we go."

OOC: now the real question is should I have Nathan get eaten and just take over as the creature or continue doing both?
also I think that having sound grenades effect "IT" would be fair as the creature did evolve with insect tenancies right? although having the creature be badly harmed by sound would be bad it would make for an excellent deterrent until the creature evolves a way around it that is.

Nathan walked slowly as he surveyed the scene before him, in a opening in the tree line was what looked like a battle zone there were at the very least twenty spiders piled up in various states of death and massive gouge marks in the ground.
There was something big in the forest around here and it was killing the local wildlife for some reason, Nathan pulled one of the sound grenades out of his bag and clipped it to his belt "just incase" he said to himself. moments later the arrival of a jumper made Nathan nearly crap his pants, he had wondered why the rest of the group was so afraid of some spiders now he knew. Nathan immediately grabbed his pistol and fired the creature was just lined up for it so when Nathan's 44. slug made it into the spiders head it dropped instantly.
moving past the body Nathan kept moving until he reached a ruined area of land, swarming with bugs figuring that this was the school he started running for the building and pulled the pin on his first sound grenade tossing it into the writing mass of creatures at the ground floor of the building, with a hissing scream the mass dispersed and ran about fifty yards away. oddly Nathan heard nothing from the grenade he figured that having lived in the wasteland this long he had likely lost some of his hearing capacity, lucky him. pulling his gun Nathan shot once then shouted "Hey! you called about some help?" above him hoping for some back up Nathan pulled another grenade out of his pack not trusting how long the first would last.

It had been resting after warring with the Jumpers, a loud noise to the left of Its vision drew it.
It was observing the creature, the Two-legs looked natural but something told It the creature was not.
It was interested, It would find out what made this creature different.
Stalking silently It approached It's prey.

Tom gasped as he shoved himself backwards onto the wall of the archives. Weapons he had scaveneged along his way had helped him to survive all the way up here. Jumpers had started coming in on all sides, and he had started to move deeper into the building. At the moment, he was using a sawed-off, almost exactly like the one he had lost. Tom lifted the gun and examined it. He hadn't had time to do so when he had snatched it up from some skeleton on his way up. Whoever this gun had belonged to prior to their death had kept good care of it. Tom was inside the archives room, which gave him a good view all the way down the hall. He had heard an explosion earlier on, and now the building was silent. However, he had recently heard an echo, possibly voices, and even the sound of footsteps bounced off the walls and reached the Capital Wastelander. As of yet, he couldn't tell if they were friendly or not, but either way his shotgun was reloaded and ready. 'Come get me' thought Tom to himself.

Mark loaded the data from the holodisk unto his new Pip-Boy and ran up to the archive room and nearly got his head blown off. He turned and saw Tom holding a sawed-off shotgun and yelled, "Tom, you nearly killed me just now!"

Starr saw one spider trying to stalk the group. Before it had even left the ground it had two bullet holes in it. It slowly crumbled to the floor.

I hate spiders now, she thought.

Starr had never seen spiders so big back at the Capitol Wasteland. These spiders were abnormally big, along with almost every other creature they had stumbled upon.

"So do you think that the GECK might have mutated these creatures? Or do you think it was mutation from the radiation?" she asked the group.

She heard someone about to take a guess, but they were cut off from the sound of a shotgun going off.

Its either Tom or those Talon Company mercs

Tom felt his finger stop just before putting the sliver of pressure the trigger needed to go off. The first round had missed, but the second wouldn't have. Then he felt himself smile as much as he often did, which was a small one. Tom, normally a man of few words said "So I guess you got my message." He pushed himself off of the wall, wincing a bit but playing it off as a twitch. "Got a stimpack on you?" he asked him, holding his ribs and coughing blood off to the side once again. Although he would never verbalize it, he was happy to see Mark, as well as the symbolism his prescence represented; The others gave a crap about him, and they had risked their necks to save him. In his book, they were now people who Tom could trust, and his loyalty wouldn't leave until he was dead.

Mark said, "Yeah, give me a second." He then threw Tom a Stimpack which he used to heal his wounds as the others came in.

Henry took a long look at the swarm coming and was relieved to see that Nathan was here! Nathan threw what seemed to be a grenade and it released a sonic boom that would have blown his eardrums were it not for his power helmet. Henry took up a mounted Gatling laser and peppered the swarm with deadly laser bolts. There was a "click" and Henry scrambled to load another electron charge pack." Hey Nathan get over here before the jumpers come back!" Then Henry spotted a giant Mantis like creature with armored scales appear behind Nathan. " Get down!" Henry fired everything he had at the monster. Henry hit it with an thousands of bolts and his squad did the same with laser rifles. The monster shrugged it off and Henry was helpless to watch. Maybe Nathan could use those grenades to take it down...

Nathan looked behind him "holy &*#" there was the creature from before, red rain poured from the rooftop of the building and peppered the thing.
Nathan could not turn away as the thing walked through this hellfire like a light rain the air around it was blinding red as its shell reflected much of the lasers power.
seeing that the thing seemed to be wary of the sound weapon Nathan took his second and lobbed it right near the thing, it moved and a piercing whine came from the creature as it fled to escape the noise.
seeing it blur into the trees Nathan sighed a breath of relief and headed up to the top of the school
"thanks for the assitance" Nathan greeted "I don't really know how long these things are going to last but they seem to work against the locals" nathan noted before taking all but five of his grenades and presenting them to the man.
"there's a civilization to the west and the leader there also wants the GECK he doesn't seem like the type to screw around so if you plan to go there watch your back."
Nathan sat on a stack of something and breathed slowly "whatever that thing has become it seems to be affected by these grenades, hopefully that lasts."

"Good to see you too!" Henry took the grenades and studied them. It would certainly come in handy if that thing came back " Well judging by the situation, this mission is going bad quick. I'm going to head to the radio station to call for reinforcements from Edwards air force base. You can come with me and my squad (8 people left) ." Henry lifted the Gatling laser up and put it on his back "We'll need all the firepower we can get so get to the ammo crate and get whatever you can." There was a large crate that was filled with all sorts of ammunition, mostly for energy weapons. There was also a row of plasma rifles, laser rifles, and a minigun. "Take whatever you want, you can keep it too! Consider it as part of your reward." Not only that but Henry hastily stuffed a bundle of plasma grenades into Nathan's hands. Then Henry piled a kevlar vest into his hands along with a helmet. "its not power armor but it'll help" Armed with an impressive arsenal Henry led them out.

Nathan found 20 44. rounds in the box and picked up a plasma pistol feeling its weight he frowned and but placed it into his pack along with several charged clips for the weapon "thanks, figure that I could use the armor to keep myself from being lunch meat" placing the gifts in his bag he prepared to move out with the man, hopefully that courier wouldn't have been noticed yet.

Henry led them out through a back alleyway and stumbled upon some half rotten corpses of tribals. "guess that's what happens when they get exiled." Henry walked cautiously, there was no sign of Jumpers in the area but they could appear out of nowhere. They stopped at a large street and they crossed it with great caution. There was a savage howl and tribals sprang out of the surrounding cars and formed a ring around Henry and his crew. A particularly large tribal came out and spoke "You have come across the land of the Gator King!" The King revealed that he was know as Garabon and that no one strolls across his land without his blessing. Garabon sported a ring of Alligator teeth on his neck and had the physique of a Super mutant. "Now we must engage in the ritual of death! Which one of you dares to fight me!!!!" His voice was thunderous and Garabon then took out a massive axe made out of bone and sharpened remains of a car. There was no way they could make it out by shooting as there were more tribals than they had ammo. "Hey Nathan do you think you could take him on?" Henry was no coward but he didn't feel so good about fighting a 300lb giant!

OOC: thought about some fairytales involving giants and tribal challenges figured this might work

Nathan Groaned why oh why did people assume that ghouls had amazing strength? looking at the group he saw people accustomed to shooting none of them stood out as hand to hand or melee lovers and this man obviously had been training his whole life in these wilds but they were also a superstitious bunch clinging to old rituals and ways of life.
looking at his options Nathan sighed "Rules of the duel?" Nathan asked slowly
"rules?" the massive tribesman parroted "there are no rules, you fight me I kill you I take your scalp"
Nathan grinned and an idea formed, pulling out a plasma grenade Nathan pressed a few buttons on it "this is my timer when it drops the duel begins?" Nathan asked hoping the man would take the bait
"puny man has funny looking skin will make good scalp" the giant trundled off the to opposite side of the ring holding the weapon

looking at Henry Nathan spoke "I'd get back if this doesn't work i'm likely to die." he didn't mention the direct possibility of this backfiring and everyone dying in a sea of tribals but nathan figured he had to do something.
everyone moved away from the center although the Enclave group was a bit closer then the tribal when walking past the center of the ring Nathan dropped another grenade
"I think you have the right to know Oh great king that I am a lord of flames and the jade fires come at my call"
"I protected by goddess she pleased with gator king your fire does not scare me."
nathan nearly laughed but help his body in check "Remember that I did try to warn you king."
"nathan puled out his 44. pistol and steadied himself" the tribal made a show of dropping the grenade from arms length above his head and as soon as the weapon hit the ground nathan shot, the round collided with the grenade and exploded in a jade fury as the Gator king let out a fierce roar peraring to charge.
the smoke cleared somewhat and the man was missing most of his body reduced to goo. Nathan had no pity for the man laughing at the tribal's gullibility in his head
I have just defeated your strongest with my magic fire, leave unless you intend to suffer my wrath" as if to make his point Nathan shot the second grenade "LEAVE" and the Tribals fled.
turning to Henry and the rest of the enclave group he responded to their stare "Read a book of fairy tales once, had something similar in it, had the word Grimm in its title."

Demetri had taken a seat at a terminal connected directly to the archives and started to go through it, pulling up data from vault 42 he found it was the same what he got downstairs, name and location, but no actual detials. Going a bit deeper he noticed something odd, pulling it up he found infomation on a Eukaryote base, "Why would Vault-tec have data on a military bases?" Demetri asked, going in deeper he manged to bypass the poor sercurity vault-tec had put on before the war, "Ah, found it, the real vault is under the base, but why?" Demetri took the data again and uploaded it to a holodisk and passed it to Mark.

Duran came over to Demetri, "So we got a starting place then?" He asked. Demetri turned to face Duran, "Yes, it seems so, going to take a while to get there though," Demetri said
"Could be fun," Duran laughed slighlt and got his people to him. Demetri told the rest of the group they best be leaving, "Who knows when those jumpers will return."

"So are we going to the base, or back to Orlando for some rest?" Starr asked.

The vaults under a military base. I wonder what kind of precautions they have set up there?, she thought.

Starr slumped against the wall and closed her eyes. She'd take a quick nap while her group decides what's going on. It didn't matter to her what they decided, she would listen.

"We should push on," Duran said, "Once we have the GECK we can rest." Demetri agreed, they should push on, not because it needs to be done, but to beat the other powers after it. Demetri knocked Starr with his foot to stir her, "Come on, we need to go," Demetri said, turning to Tom, "Sorry we can't rest your wounds, but we do need to get there."

The group left orlando, there trip through the eastern part was less eventful when they first arrived, the jumpers were becomeing wary of them, those which got the courage to face them were promptly killed, it served a warning to the others. The sun was starting to rise when they finally reached the main jungle, "Out of the frying pan, now to see if the fire is on..." Demetri muttered

Starr heard Demetri mutter something. She couldn't understand it partly because she was in the front of the group, but mostly because it wasn't meant to be heard.

Must be all the alcohol he had in Orlando, she thought.
