The group have run into a inhuman creature, with rapid regneration as well as fast adaptions to deal with new threats. The group have met up with Roy, supposedly the leader of the people living in Orlando and have been asked by this man to give him the G.E.C.K, the two talon company mercs are united in their greed and are trying to beat the group to this G.E.C.K))

Nathan had been for the most part captivated by one of the books he had seen on the bookcase that talked about naval ship maintenance "Rivet city would pay a fortune for this...: Nathan continued read "Thermite..." nathans grin nearly split his head in two before he turned so his body was covering what he was doing then tore the pages talking about Thermite out of the book and stuffed them in a pocket of his coat.
seeing that Mr.Raoos had run off talking about someone called Star, Nathan assumed that this star was of the female former Talon variety, at the very least now Nathan knew the woman's name.
seeing that people were trying to gather the others Nathan sat down at one of the plush chairs taking a shred of his old coat out he began to clean his pistol in preparation for what was to come.

It grew tired of waiting , bursting from the underbrush It blew past the defenses of these Gleaming Two-legs grabbing one of their numbers then rushing back into the forest gunshots and laser pulses came from behind it but It was already into the trees by the time most had their weapons ready the weapons of red light warmed It's shell but nothing more.
It found the shell of these Two-legs useful It could feel itself getting stronger as one of the creatures arms was consumed. It liked these creatures but knew from previous engagements that they could likely harm It if It did not catch them unaware. Hearing the scream of fighting spiders It dropped the remaining armored leg and rushed off in that direction, looking for an easy meal.

Starr looked at Demetri. She didn't really know what to tell him or Mark. She needed to get the GECK to Roy or she'd lose an arm, but she couldn't tell the others, they wouldn't trust her anymore. Then she was torn between all her other decisions on what to do with the GECK. She hadn't been sleeping well, and kept having dreams about the ghouls.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me guys," she said, putting on a fake smile, "I need to get my equipment now, so if you'll excuse me, I'd like to get out of this skirt."

Starr didn't wait for a reply, she brushed the two off and started her way to the skyscraqer.

Before Starr would give an answer Duran and two men and a women come down, "I was asleep," Duran complained, "Well best introduce you to the team." Duran pointed at the first man, the one with scars which made him look like he is grinning, "Well thats Grin, good with an assault rifle, though he likes that sledgehammer of his, not the brightest one in the box, but gets the job done." Next he came to a women, fairly tall with her hair cut very short and her armour looked more of what you get in a comic book then on the battlefield with it being fairly revealing. "This is Saturn, she can put a round between your eyes at a few hundred feet, so don't piss her off." Coming to the third one, he was a youngster, barely turned 16, "This is Galna, new guy, Roy told me to take him to train him."

Demetri eyed then up, "I assume the youngster hasn't seen any combat then?" Demetri asked
"Nope, turned 16 only last week," Duran said, then quieter, "I honestly don't expect him to stand when he sees his first jumper."
"Why bring him?"
"As I said, to train him, now you woman go and get your gear and tell that thing, what is it? To get ready" Duran told Starr, then turning to Demetri, "What is he up there any way?"
"A ghoul, those effected by alot of radiation, been known to go feral quite often and resort to a more primal state." Duran looked nervous after Demetri told him about the ghoul, "It won't effet me will it?" Duran asked.
"No, not unless you sit in radiation for some time," Demetri replied, "Don't worry it doesn't spread."

OOC I'm back!

Day 4

We've retreated from the vault tech building after getting overwhelmed by tribals and spiders. Only 10 of us left now, we went west and stopped when we saw some armed men at the walls. I have ordered the men to establish ambush zone and cover the area extensively with plasma mines.

Henry gave up writing a journal after that, there wasn't any point in it any more. They were cut off, out manned, and being hunted by something. The only thing he could do now was to link up with the group. The death of the Sergeant had left henry with the job of commanding the men now.The spiders called Jumpers by the tribals that Henry captured were waiting for him, right outside of the building were webs and spiders. They were currently being repelled by the Enclave sonic repulsion device but that took power that was quickly depleting.Then Henry heard a sound on his radio, it was Tom! It looked like there was hope after all! Henry picked up his radio and said " This is Sergeant Henry Jones of the Enclave H.E.R.U.! I need assistance! I'm by the old school, we're surrounded on all sides by Jumpers. You will be rewarded by the Enclave if you provide assistance!" Now the only thing left to do was to wait...

Starr took the elevator up to her room. She saw the ghoul, Nathan, sitting in a chair.

"Hey scabs, we're leaving," she said.

She wasn't sure why she was so mean to this ghoul, he hadn't hurt her. Starr figured it was from her memories of other ghouls killing her friends, and her mood at the time. She wasn't going to worry about it.

Starr went to her room and started to get her equipment on. She noticed that it had all been cleaned and the armor was reinforced. Underneath the rest of her stuff was a pair of black gloves, they'd cover the small explosive that was attached to her wrist.

Roy wants that GECK pretty badly it seems, she thought to herself.

After about five minutes she was putting the last of her things in her bag and hanging up the suit Roy had given her. She went into the bathroom and fixed her hair, she noticed Nathan had left to meet the rest of the group. She walked to the elevator and pressed the button, after a minute there was no response.

Ghoul must have taken it, I get to take the stairs, oh boy.

After ten long minutes Starr was outside the tower with the rest of the group. Duran quickly introduced them all to her, he didn't have much time though because Demetri wanted to get moving. Starr wasn't going to complain.

The mercs were flew back from the fake location. "Darn it!" Jacob yelled, "We could've had the GECK! But the stupid computer lied to us..." Jacob ylled this as they landed. Jacob stepped out of the helicopter and began to pace. Aiden noticed something moving in the nearby tree. Aiden, wondering why he was doing this, yelled "Look out!" Aiden pushed Jacob out of the way as a jumper leaped from the trees, landing on Aiden, just where Jacob had been seconds ago. The jumper began trying to bite Aiden, poison ran off its fangs. Aiden began to try to get it off him, but the jumper was to big. The spider bit down on Aidens lower torso, cutting him in half. Jacob yelled. Aiden looked at Jacob as the Jumper began to eat him whole, Aiden mouthed Get the Geck. The last thing Jacob saw Aiden do was pull the pin on one of his grenades. The jumper swallowed Aiden then turned towards jacob. The spider took a step then exploded, sending spider parts everywhere. Jacob sheilded his face. Jacob then slowly walked towards the helicopter and started it up. He flew above the forest, passin over what he thought was a town but he didnt care, he was headed for the Vault-Tec building.

OOC: I think that I'm going to have my character go help Norman and his crew now, figure he needs a hand. well that and I wanted the option to make my guy somewhat evil along with bogging the group down a bit.

Nathan hit the elevator button with a heavy palm and cooled his temper on the ride down, his bag bumped his shoulders when the elevator jumped "Probably repaired wire or whatever this thing moves with" said Nathan
Looking at his options Nathan felt boxed in, he needed to find more "Need to find a radio" the elevator chimed softly and the doors opened to the lobby, grinning Nathan pressed the large red emergency stop button before exiting, most of the group was gathered upstairs and preparing to move the Talon [censored] was still in the rooms but she would come swiftly enough having jammed the groups progress for a few moments Nathan moved wisely.
looking for more ways to communicate he walked for a few minutes, an office or some other place that might have a radio. Seeing one Nathan quckly made his way to the area and found it abandoned "jeeze my lucky day" a ham radio stood on the table Nathan sat down at the table and turned it on.
"eant Henry Jones of the Enclave H.E.R.U.! I ne" the radio buzzed "tance!" I'm by the old school, we're surrounded"the radio popped with static "Jumpers." the signal broke then came back again"arded by the Enclave if you provide assist-" puling up the radio Nathan responded "got it." the radio sparked once then melted "Guess that this thing was abandoned for a reason." Nathan summed up "Gonna have to go help the guy if I'm to get what I want."
Feeling that it was time to get some answers before he went to help Nathan walked out of the office and started looking for important people in the crowd his eyes focused on a man in a suit with a well kept but balding head of hair gripping a suitcase unnaturally tight.
Looking further he saw no guards around him so he was obviously not of much importance but still felt he was in danger with whatever that case held. walking up behind the man nathan palmed his knife, holding it to his wrist as he moved when he was properly behind him Nathan took the knife and held it to the mans lower back right near the kidneys.
Nathan grinned at the man and held up his finger in a swift shushing motion "What I have at your back is a knife covered in the venom of a giant scorpion, if you do not do as I tell you right now I will stab you with it and you will die in agonizing pain" Nathan lied smoothly "Wha- What do you want with me" the man questioned eyes widening with fear "Oh you'll get that in a minute please come with me." Nathan led the man on back to the office he had previously been in "sit down Mr." "Johnathon" the man replied hoping that this madman would let him go soon "Johnathon, now if you will please answer my questions" a piece of skin flaked off of Nathans forehead "What are you?" the man asked. Feeling that he could get answers quickly from the man nathan went the route of fear "Why I'm a Ghoul, Johnathon I eat people" Nathan covered the mans mouth with his hand stifling his scream "No, no Mr. Johnathon if you do that I'm going to have to kill you and neither of us want that."
"first I want to know where are there ruins of a school around here?" "there are some to the east just past the walls" the man replied rapidly "and these walls are there passcodes to get past them or can can anyone walk through?" "Uhh... the code for this week is Tampa please let me g-" interrupting the man Nathan asked"second question, where were you headed in such a hurry" the mans eyes darted rapidly "remember Johnathon lying will make me feel less like letting you go even if you do tell the truth after some... encouragement" Nathan threatened taking his knife and placing it in the mans view "I'm a courier I was delivering a shipment of sound grenades to the patrolmen on the walls"
"Sound grenades?"
"Th-They scare off bugs it hurts them."
"how much do you know about this place?" I-I don't really know anything I'm just a courier please let me go?" Nathan reevaluated the man realizing that he would not likely get much more from him "Ok Johnathon next question when are you expected back?" "I'm suppos- wait why do you need to know that?" Nathan looked at the man before throwing his knife rapidly the weapon striking solidly into the man eye, he gurgled and slumped in his chair.
Stuffing the man into a supply closet on the left side of the room Nathan then pulled the key to the mans briefcase from the mans coat pocket and opened the thing dumping the two dozen grenades into his pack then discarded the now empty object in the space next to the man.
Moving swiftly Nathan exited the room after locking both the supply closet and the door with a key on the desk.
looking at a random person in the crowd Nathan asked them where the east gates were pointed in the direction Nathan arrive there and exited into the forest hoping to find another option with this set of actions.

It ducked a Jumper before slicing another in half, these creatures would try to deny IT food, to scare IT off, this would not do.
The spiders fled in droves with It following them, they ran and several ran straight into the ruins nearby the ones that did swiftly exploded other ran backwards the ones getting too close being sliced by It.
It stood at the edge of something whatever it was hurt It to be near.
feeling that It could find prey nearby It went off to hunt then to return, whatever was behind this thing would likely be worth the wait.

Duran led the group through the city, teaching the eastern part of the city within half an hour, at this time the youngster and taken to standing close to Duran hopeing it will keep him safe/ Demetri looked up at the buildings, it was so different from the rest of Orlando, the foliage had taken over, covering almost every inch, "How the hell with going to find this building?" Demetri asked, Duran turned his head and smiled, "Well it is close, I know where it is," Duran replied. Demetri sighed and carried on, looking back he had noticed the Ghoul had disappeared, he doesn't know how long ago, "[censored] sake, where did he go," Demetri complained. He could also see Starr in her own little world and Duran's men were quite confident in where they were going.

The female Saturn walked up to Demetri, "What brings you here hon? D.C not good enough for you?" She asked. Demetri just kept his eyes forward "It's fine we are just here to do a job, then we are going home." Demetri replied, "Why does it matter to you?"
"It doesn't, but we don't get many here outside of Florida."
"Can't possibly imagine why, first think that happened when we touched down we were attacked, then again, and again later on..." Demetri adding with annoyance getting in his voice, this woman wasn't be curious, just annoying, you could tell it in the tone of her voice. She started going on about jumpers and how she had killed hundreds, Demetri just blocked her out and carried on walking.

Mark was traveling not too far behind Dimitry and looked in awe at how different the Jumper-controlled section of Orlando was compared to the inhabited section. He looked up and saw a human skeleton inside a web, as well as a mutated anole that looked like it had been svcked dry on another web. Mark then heard a scuttling sound and said to Dimitry, "Looks like we're about to have a fight." Then Jumpers started coming out of every nook and cranny and attacked the group.

Demetri whirled up his minigun and started spraying two jumpers which had taken to running across the wall. tearing one to shreds with 5mm rounds, the other jumped away across the street onto another building. "[censored], they're fast," Demetri said. Duran laughed, "This are only the little ones," Duran said firing his shotgun into the face of one which had just leaped at him. Galna the youngster was pretrified, standing their looked at one of the jumpers, suddenly he legged it back the way they had come before being jumped on by one. Demetri flinched as he heard the sixteen year old boy scream with pain as the jumpers fangs bit into him, then silence, "Best not let it bite you, they have fast acting venom, not anti venom either, not use in making one," Duran said, he turned around and blasted another jumper.

Demetri had taken to shooting the ones on the walls, soon he saw a much larger one come out from an alley, "Those are the big ones," Duran said, "Almost double the size." Demetri turned his minigun in it's direction tearing it apart. Saturn was taking over from Demetri at taking down the ones trying to use the building walls to get an advantage. "How many are there!?" Demetri shouted, "We'll run out of ammo before we kill them all."

Mark saw Galna get bitten and fall over dead, yet another victim of this region's dangerous fauna. Mark ran over to his body and startd shooting at every Jumper that got near with his Sniper. He thought, "Such a waste of young life.", before a Jumper knocked him to the ground and knocking away his. Before it could bite, Mark grabbed its fangs and threw it off him. Before it could recover, he finshed it off with his Combat Shotgun and then grabbed a smaller one and stabbed it to death with his knife. The Jumpers kept on coming, and Mark was forced to abandon the body as the group started to become surrounded.

Starr saw the jumper land on Galna. It was a horrific sight, the boy never had a chance. She would have closed her eyes and looked away but she had to react to the threat of the jumpers.

Starr ducked as one flew right past her head. She pulled out her M4 and raised it to start shooting, but when she pulled the trigger it stuck. She started to curse when a jumper hit her in the shoulder and knocked her gun farther down the road.

"Give me a break," she said as she pulled out her hatchet and started making her way to her gun, swinging at jumpers as they leaped to kill her. By the time she got to her gun she had been cut off from the group and surrounded. Starr started shooting away at the jumpers, she'd made a stupid mistake.

"There are to many!" Demetri shouted, "We need to fall back." Demetri was worried, they were outnumbered and surrounded by jumpers and one of their numbers had already been killed, and as of now being dragged away to be fed upon. "No, we fight," Duran said, "No falling back."
"But we need to fall back," Demetri said
"No, no falling back."
"We need to fall back now, we are spider food if we don't!" Demetri turned his minigun around 180 degress and mowed down two jumpers making their way towards them. "Fall back you idiot." Duran laughed, "instead of falling back we push forward." Duran ran towards the spiders, blasting away with his shotgun, both Grin and Saturn in close pursuit, "Ah sod it, follow!" Demetri ordered the rest of the group, shooting his way through the jumpers.

He noticed Starr had fallen behind and been cut off, "Dammit," Demetri exclaimed, turning back he started going back the way he came cutting them down with his gun, a small jumper made a jump and landed on the ammo case of Demetri's minigun, he smashed into tree which had grown out through the concrete and he heard a screech as the jumper was crushed.

Starr watched the group press forward. She started to panic, she was going to die.

After ducking another attack from a jumper and landing a blow with her hatchet, she saw a small building covered in plants. It was her only hope. She jumped one spider and ran as fast as she could to the doors, hoping that the overgrowth wasn't too strong on the doors. Luckily she made it to the building. Starr jerked on the door, it barely moved.

I'm spider food now, she thought.

Starr saw another jumper leap at her, she rolled out of the way. She heard a loud crash, the spider had broken the door of it's hinges. Taking advantage of the spider's mishap she quickly went inside, and pulled up her gun to shoot more jumpers.

Demetri saw Starr move into the building, he tried to make his way towards but to many jumpers got in his way. Making his way back to the rest of the group, the jumpers had backed of, seeing Starr as easier prey. "We need to save her," Demetri said. Duran turned around, "And risk ourselves he asked?"
"Yes, we can't leave her there."
"What about the person you gotta save?"
"Save one person and lose another doesn't mean we leave her."

Duran cursed, "No deal, we carry on, the GECK is more important. Demetri sighed, "Fine then I go it alone if I have to," Demetri said. Turning round he moved down an alley hopeing to find another entrance into the building.

Mark said, "I'm coming to!", and ran to catch up with Dimitry. On the way he thought, "I'm gonna need something better thsn this knife." He found his answer in the form of a machete in the hands of a human skeleton. He said, "This'll do fine. Hopefully it'll protect me better than it did this guy." Mark then pried the machete out of the skeletons first, and then took off the scabbard that the person had on their back. He then ran off to join up with Dimitry.

Starr kept firing through the doorway at the jumpers until she had to reload. She quickly slipped into another room of the building. What she hadn't anticipated was some thick webs in the dark room. Starr ran right into them and hung in mid step, suspended by the webs. The more she struggled the harder movement became.

I put up a good fight.

Starr heard the creeping of one of the jumpers. It faced her, almost surprised to see it's webs had caught something, and bared its fangs. Starr spat on it, as ineffective as it was it made her feel better.

Demetri carried on up the ally, just nodding to mark as he caught up with him. The alleyway was very dark, no light could get down in between the buildings. Demetri went around the corner and came t the rear of the building, "[censored] no entrance," Demetri said, he carried on looking and found a window, pulling of the plant that had grown around it, he put his arm through and lifted up the latch he pushed the window up.

Taking off his ammo pack he pushed it through the window before going through himself, hearing something in the next room, he left his minigun where it was and went around the corner, seeing Starr trapped in the webbing and a jumper ready to sink it's fangs into her he drew his pistol and fired the whole mag into the jumper. Demetri must of hit a main blood vessel as greenish white blood sprayed out covering Starr in it's thick blood.

"Mark get up here, we need your knife!" Demetri shouted, "You alright?" he asked Starr, "You seem a bit stuck." Demetri had a slight grin on his face.

"Shut up," she said still squirming in the web, she smiled a little.

She was embarrassed about the mistakes she had made, but even more that Demetri and Mark had to come save her. She kept trying to wiggle free of the web, but it was no use. Finally, Starr gave up and waited for Mark to bring a knife over.

Mark ran after Dimitry and found him with Starr, who was trapped in a spider web and was covered in spider hemolymph. When Dimitri told him to pull out his knife Mark said, "I've got something better.", and cut her free with his new machete.

"Could be worse," Demetri said, reloading his pistol he kept it in his hand and went to look at the jumper. "Isn't this a big thing. Looking by these fangs, even if it wasn't venomous, it would do more damage then a large sword." Demetri dipped his finger into the blood and felt it, "This is pretty sticky, it's going to take awhile to wash this out."

Almost as if Starr was trying to confirm what Demetri had said about the blood she tried to wipe it off. She got most of it off her face and skin, but it would take a while to clean it off her clothes.

"Great, this blood smells like roses," she said sarcastically, "Let's get out of here and find Tom."

Leading the way Starr soon found Duran and his group nearing the Vault-Tec building.

"Hopefully we don't run into anymore surprises."

Starr could already smell the jumper's blood, she gagged a little.

Mark looked around and saw lots of bodies wrapped up inside the webbing. He opened a small one and found an infant inside, giving him chills. He then said, "Guys, I really think we should leave before more Jumpers show up." He then said to Starr once they left and ran into Duran and company, "Don't feel bad, it happens to the best of us."
