From his position on the ground, Mark saw juvenile XM-800s come out of life-support and attack Dimitry, and heard as well Nathan's rebuke of his "tactics" from earlier. Feeling rather stupid Mark thought, "Serves me right for trying to kill that thing with just my machete, I'm just lucky I didn't end up injured or dead." He then got up and started assisting Dimitry in trying to kill the immature creatures, and followed him as he followed the creature into a corridor leading to the overseer's office. Mark then said to Dimitri, "Judging by where's it's going, do you think it's possible that this thing was the Overseer of this Vault, or is there some other reason?"

"Just a random creature, but we found a door," Demetri said, he had heavy breathing, "To try and open I came to find you see if you had any ideas, Starr is still down there." Demetri went down the stairs after the creature, hopeing to intercept before it could do anything to Starr.

Mark said, "Then what are we waiting for?", and ran down the stairs after Dimitry. On the way, he saw the creature tearing through the Overseer's office, but it was too preoccupied to notice them, or it least thst was Mark's wishful thinking.

(OOC: Sorry I'm not on alot, it's summer, and I got RL stuff to do, but when I'm gone you guys could control Tom just a bit, like how Movingtarget did)

Tom felt foolish breifly for not noticing the usual 2-ton door found in the vaults was missing. He shook it off as he was paired off with Nathan. They made their way through the Vault before the creature appeared, nearly butchering Henry. Tom took a few potshots since the thing was bullet proof before finding some cover. He didn't have enough firepower to take this thing. While the thing was distracted in the Overseer's office, Tom followed Mark down the stairs.

Starr heard the giant insect in the Overseer's Office tearing away at things. She started getting nervous. The screen now read, "2 MINUTES FOR REBOOT". Starr grabbed the screen and started shaking it.

"Hurry up you stupid machine," she said to the computer.

Starr checked her pistol to make sure it was ready, it wouldn't do her much good if the insect decided to attack her though.

Demetri followed the creature through the tunnel and watched it go into the room, it allowed it to stand at it's fall height.

The creature looked around, spotting a women it started going slowly over to her, ready to kill the thing that had come onto it's territory.

Demetri ran up to it and used his powerfist to punch the creature in the back, it roared in pain as the powerfist smashed into it. Demetri gave one, two three more punches and each time the creature roared. Finally retaliating it knocked Demetri to the floor and used it's claw and swung it down onto Demetri. Demetri blocked the blows with the powerfist and it kept the claw from reaching Demetri. Soon Demetri saw his chance getting from under it he brought the fist around again and it roared in pain, Demetri readied himself for another blow and then realised the powerfist was jammed, one of the pistons had broken in the beating the creature gave out. "Crap," Demetri fell back and drew his pistol and fired shot after shot into the thing to no effect but to annoy it.

Starr watched Demetri attempt to pummel the thing. For a moment she thought he would kill it, but the insect put up a fight. She looked at the computer, "1 MINUTE FOR REBOOT". Starr watched Demetri defend himself from the insect, she couldn't do anything to help him.

Mark started firing shots from his Plasma Rifle at the creature, causing it to concentrate on him instead. The creature pinned Mark to the wall, and tried to bite his head off. Mark yelled, "I could use some help here!"

"Hell!" Demetri said to himself, the creature was going closer to mark and the rounds from his pistol were glanceing off, it seems the carapace had finally become hard and stopped any bullet penatration. The creature turned again on to Demetri and was on top of him and picked Demetri up by the collar and looked at him carefully, like it was anolising him.

The creature roared in Demetri face throwing saliva into his face. The creature threw Demetri to the floor and brought it's foot down, missing Demetri head by a few centimetres and making a hole through the foliage and metal floor.

"REBOOT COMPLETE, PRESS ENTER FOR OPTIONS."

Starr pressed the button quickly, the screen now read, "Welcome Overseer, last login was on February 8th, 2254. Press 'O' for door options, press 'P' to power down, press 'L' for lockdown."

Starr mashed her finger on the 'O' key.

"ENTER PASSWORD TO CONTINUE."

Starr yelled, "Mark get down here, I don't know how to work this piece of junk!"

She fired a shot at the insect, not to her surprise the insect didn't even notice. Starr could do nothing except wait for a response.

Demetri was trying to dodge every attack thrown at him by the creature. Demetri tried to duck under another blow which caught his helmet and sent Demetri to the floor and the helmet hurtling across the room. Demetri picked himself up and for his effort a claw from the creature went straight through Demetri's near left shoulder and the wall behind him. Demetri cried out in pain as the claw had ripped through flesh and muscle and the metal behind him.

The creatre snarled and flung Demetri across the room again, it was toying with him more then trying to actually kill Demetri. Demetri lays on the floor, the pain almost crippling and he watched the creature look overhim, grabbing him by the leg he pulls him across the floor, the plants on the floor being ripped up with him.

Mark ran over to the terminal and tried to hack into it. After a few minutes of trial and error, he was able to bypass the security. He then yelled to Dimitri, "Try to make it go into the opening so I can crush it with the door!" He then started shooting at it to get its attention off Dimitri.

Demetri used the advantage of Mark distracting the creature and he picked himself up slowly and made his way towards the now open vault door. It was more stumbling then walking and Demetri had almost tripped up on some viens making his way over. Demetri still wore the powerfist, he took it off and tried to throw it with a feeble effort but enough force to hit the creature and made it atleast feel the blow.

The creature turned back to Demetri and went for him over to the door, Demetri just hoped that Mark timed it right, and he wouldn't end up with a second hole in himself.

As Demetri neared the door Starr made her way in. She watched as the creature slowly made its way down the tunnel.

OOC: are we really going to make the creature this dumb?

Nathan was up a set of stairs and watched the chaos down below as the few juvenile creatures that had survived whatever liquid was designed to kill them awoke and started moving about A scene of brutality unfolded as the older thing ate a younger one and then went after the others as Nathan had hoped it would not, damned thing was smart. Pulling out his pistol Nathan started shooting at it from above to at the very least distract the creature from whatever the others were planning it wasn't really bothered by Nathans shooting more that it turned it's head once in the altercation with Mr.Raoos and shot a second glop of acid at Nathan he felt very fortunate when the stuff missed. seeing that the other man was in trouble nathan was about to do something stupid but then he saw the mans plan in action and he secretly hoped that the creature was that dumb.

It could feel the end of these Men approaching I would eat them all then deal with the lesser shadows of Itself making feeble first steps near It the Elder would be a problem but It could deal with that later.
The Man had a strong fist his limbs could not cut it much with the amount of time It had to grab at the object ending the fight by stabbing the man in the shoulder It drug the prey away from the rest of the Man pack so as to eat in peace but larger movements distracted It and yet again his kill walked. deciding that this time there would be no running It followed the man slowly considering how it would rip the pitiable thing to shreds.

((OOC: This was one of the younger ones and it's only just adapted it's carapace to take bullets, I think our original creature has adapted far beyond what we are seeing here as that was is able to fly and could take bullets, so I don't think it will have full common sense yet, though it still has some intellengence))

Nathan was broken from his watching of the juvenile creature being lured by Mr.Raoos when a his came behind him and there on the catwalk near him was the first creature launching another glob of acid, which Nathan luckily dodged, and was bowing the metal the thing stood on. Nathan fled to the door he had previously been near and ran through it before fleeing into one of the long hallways fireing the occasional blast of plasma to keep the creature's attention on him.

((Where ever, maybe it's killing a few of it's brethren, this creature needs to go out with a blast if it's going to die, though keep your post but change it to a juvenille.))

The juvenile insect slowly crawled down the tunnel, it was almost to the door. Starr watched it ready its arm to kill Demetri. It stuck its head and body through the doorway, then suddenly the door slammed down on it. The insect tried to hold the door up, but the door came down with a decisive chop. Starr relaxed and look around the room. It was full of boxed goods that looked important, and was very well lit.

OOC: shall we say that 5 juveniles survived the kill command Henry used? or that something else happened?
Nathan turned a corner and found another branching path taking the left one he hoped that where ever he was going it would have something he could use so far his luck had held and most of the paths been somewhat clear of vines but he knew that if his luck ran out on that he would die, another glob of acid arching past his shoulder told him that his death would likely be horrific.
Nathan could only Idly hope that someone would find some heavier weapons to deal with this thing.

Juvenile

It felt life draining as the large iron wall fell on It and could do nothing to stop it the crunching of carapace was the last it heard

Elder
It chased the tight skinned Man through the small corridor and decided that this one would die slowly, the burst of gas from this creatures weapon stung but did not deal lasting damage so It continued to chase while waiting for the Man to slip up. It missed with It's spit again but It was getting better and soon this Man would taste pain once more.

OOC: 5 sounds like a good number, that means there's 4 now, right?

"There's more of those?!" Starr said.

She looked at the dead juvenile insect's face. It didn't look the same as the one that had been harassing them their whole time in Florida. It seemed weaker.

Demetri grunted in pain, "Yes, there was a whole lab of them," Demetri replied, he sat down up against a wall and started to check his wounds, specially his shoulder, he had lost alot of blood due it. "See anything in there? The G.E.C.K?"

Mark was glad that the plan had worked, but the fact that there was four more of these juveniles plus the advlt left him unnerved. He then said, "I can't tell, we'll have to go deeper inside."

"I don't think Demetri is in any position to start looking for the GECK," Starr said, "Can you treat his wounds?"

"I'll be fine," Demetri said. He got up and went to his minigun, which he had lost his minigun in the fight and grabbed his pack which was attached to it, he grabbed out bandages and a syringe of Med-x. Demetri injected himself with it and started to put the bandages on, sticking them over the wound. Demetri tried his best to cover up the one on the back, letting the others look.
