"Then let's start looking for this GECK."

Starr tried to stand up, and almost fell back onto the ground, but managed to catch herself on the wall. She leaned up against it and slowly rose up.

Demetri finished off putting the bandage on his back, it was difficult trying to deal with wounds on your back, but Demetri had done this plenty of times before, just never on a wound this bad. The Med-x had finally kicked in dulling the pain. "Thank god," Demetri said as the pain lessened. He made is way, though not in the best state i, into the storage room and started to look around. The crates were set up like a maze.

Nathan was currently in a bathroom, this bathroom was quite dingy and looked to have not been used in several decades, this along with the fact that the vines were bursting out of the walls told him the he was screwed.
looking for an escape as the Creature pounded on the door Nathan spotted a ventilation shaft quickly reaching it and tearing the cover off, unfortunately he was then met with *gasp* more vines! thinking quickly he burned through the vegetation with a blast from his soon to be drained plasma pistol and tried his best to ignore the nose searing stench these vines gave off when burned and climbed into the shaft after pushing his pack ahead of him.

It looked for the Tight skinned Man but he was not to be found IT was furious one of the outsiders had escaped It again!
wings vibrating in rage It turned and started looking for It's younger brothers perhaps they would give a good meal.

Henry woke up in a world of pain, everything was blurry and Henry saw lots of blood and heard shooting. Henry tried to stand up but it hurt too much. That... thing..it must be destroyed. Henry called Nathan "Nathan!"- Henry breathed in deeply and said "I'm pretty badly banged up... I need some help," Henry leaned back and shut his eyes for a few minutes waiting for a reply.

Nathan was sliding through the overgrown vent as quickly as he could hoping to find an exit soon, there was a rat biting his toe and it was really annoying.
a vaguely human noise rattled up from a vent down a good way from him and Nathan figured that would be his best bet.
reaching the vent that had the noise coming from it he looked down to be greeted with Henry "hey, up here" Nathan spoke softly.

"I think I'll live but I can't move very much," Thank god for superstims Henry passed Nathan a package "this contains the rest of those sonic grenades, use them against the elder XM-800. I need a medic to look this, its too bad to leave it alone. Do you think you can carry me?" Henry shed off the power armor leaving a suit of recon armor. "I'll try to call for help" Henry looked at his body, the claws had punctured his left lung but the superstim had prevented it from being a killshot. The bleeding had mostly stopped but there was still a spot where his body was stabbed. The superstim had healed over some of the hole but his ribs were probably still broken and his lung was almost certainly done for. How lucky am I? A little higher and I would be dead

OOC:(Sigh) never mind.

Nathan dropped out of the vent and spoke softly "I'm not sure where we can take you but best bet would be infirmary if they have one." Nathan looked around until he found a door labeled as such. picking the man up and supported the mans weight, after storing the remaining grenades and piling Henry's armor in a corner they proceeded to hobble over to the place. "don't know if this place can help but its the best option right now" Nathan set the man on on of the less overgrown tables before turning and closing the door. "figure if the bugs come back we can hide in the vents it worked on the big ugly so it ought to at the very least work on the smaller ones." pulling out a sonic grenade he clipped it to the bottom of his jacket before turning to Henry "these things don't seem to be allied so hopefully they eat each other before they come after us."

"OK, I have some plasma mines in my pouch by my armor, there's about 3. See if you can get them and set them around." Henry injected some med-x and then passed out due to his pure exhaustion, the amount of energy it took to survive was tremendous.

Nathan took the mines and prepped them before taking a leather belt from the medical supplies and strapping one to the ceiling right above the entrance with a second one staged to go off on the ground if anything survived the first. the third he left on the table on the off chance he needed to use it. Nathan idly wondered where everyone else had gone and set about trying to help the man in his sleep he'd sworn off that part of his life but damned if old memories would stop Nathan from saving his meal ticket.

Demetri was breathing heavily, his wound taking it's toll. He looked through the crates, they were filled with mainly equipment to help maintain the vault. As Demetri turned a corner in the crates he found a dead end, "Sod it," Demetri said it would take ages to find anything in here. Demetri decided to sit up against the crate, rest again, he was tired and light headed.

Mark saw that Dimitri was in bad shape and said, "Dimitri, maybe we should give you some more medical attention before we move further."

"I'll be fine," Demetri said, "It's only a flesh wound, it's not like I was hit anywhere serious." Demetri picked himself up and inhaled sharply as he banged his shoulder on one of the crates. "Honestly, I'll be fine, we'll deal with it later."

Mark thought Dimitri was lying to deflect concern, but he kept that thought to himself. He then heard scuttling and turned around, his Plasma Rifle in hand, but it was just Det. Mark breathed a sigh of relief, but then one of the juvenile XM-800's dropped from a vent and tried to attack the group.

Holy [censored]!" Demetri dropped just in time to the floor as the creature swung it's claws around trying to catch anything in arm's reach smashing through the crates. Demetri scrambled up as quickly as he could the pain he was suffering getting worse. "Go! Run!" Demetri ordered, there was no way they could fight it, he doubted the door trick would work a second time.

Henry woke up to find stitches in his wound and Nathan keeping watch "How long was I out?" Henry felt a little better though it still hurt. He injected himself with another stmpak and he was good enough to look around some more. Nathan had planted the mines and Henry thought he heard shooting off in the distance. "Nathan we have to move, we can't stay here forever."

"You've been out for about an hour and a half" nathan fiddled with the extra mine "I agree that we can't stay in this room but where do you think we can go?"

Mark yelled, "You two find the G.E.C .K., I'll distract it!" Mark started shooting at it to grab its attention and then ran in the opposite direction, the XM-800 in hot pursuit.

"I heard them say something about the overseer's office. Perhaps we should head there?" Henry got up and tested his body, he could move fairly well but it pained him to move too fast. He grabbed his laser pistol and grabbed some plasma grenades. Henry turned and heard what Nathan thought about it.

Nathan sighed "Alright but I would say we should find a better method to get there then the hallways I managed to get away from big ugly by the vents want to try that?"

Starr began searching as fast as she could, which was quite slow, for the GECK. She noticed she could walk fairly well right now. She sorted through a few things, books, movies, tools.

"How hard is it to find a suitcase?" she said.

After saying that she tripped over a box of bobble heads.

I thought this was storage for useful things... she thought to herself.

"Well I guess I can do that" Henry got Nathan to open up the vents and let Nathan go first, he was better armed. Henry coughed as the dust was kicked up around them. "How long do we have to go through this? I"m starting to feel a little claustrophobic." Henry heard Nathan say something but he couldn't hear because at that moment he heard the screech of one of the XM-800s. "I hope they aren't in the vents."

Nathan chuckled and the walls reverberated with the sound "You think one of those bloody bugs could get in here? hell I can barely fit in the first place one of those things try and they get stuck."
Nathan had gotten a look at a map of the Vault on the wall of the infirmary when he had finished correcting any problems he saw with Henry's healing and knew for the most part where he was going.
Pushing a vent cover open Nathan spoke "Alright this should be it" poking his head in he saw that it was indeed the Overseers office and their luck held out for now as there was currently no occupants human or other wise.
Henry shoved himself out of the vent and stood up "Alright were here what are we looking for?" Nathan asked Henry hoping to be away from this place quickly. It wasn't a smell persay that unnerved him, just a feeling in the air of something cold and unforgiving.

"The GECK is the #1 priority and finding Demetri is 2nd." Henry that the desk was lifted up and that there was a tunnel leading down. "This should be it!" Henry led them down the tunnel until they found a door with a crushed XM-800. "They must have passed by here," Henry hacked the door and they kept going until the got closer and closer to sounds of violence. There were smashed crates everywhere and in one of them Henry found a suit of power armor. "This vault must have been very heavily armed." Then they saw Mark running toward them and Henry said "Hide! we don't know what he's doing yet!" Henry and Nathan ducked under some crates and watched as Mark ran off with a XM-800 hot on his tail. "Lets go Nathan! The GECK can't be far off!"

Mark was stll running when he thought, "This thing may be tough on the outside, but it's probably got weaker innards." Mark then thought, "I've got an idea, but it'll be risky." At this point, the creature had him cornered against a wall. Mark grabbed a Frag Grenade and tried to run under its legs, but the juvenile XM-800 slashed his chest and then pinned him to the ground by stabbing him in his right shoulder with its arm blade. The creature then got impatient and decided to try to eat Mark alive, but Det got on its head, distracting it long enough for Mark to inject a Stimpack to stop the bleeding, and for the both of them to escape through a vent. After traveling for a while, they dropped near the Overseer's office. Running only from adrenaline, Mark fell unconsious soon after from injury-induced shock.

OOC: are Vaults not filled with Pre-war tech? doesn't this mean the chances of finding a suit of power armor astronomically low?
Nathan watched the man as he ran past from a gap between the crates he almost laughed it had been the man that had knocked his 44. out of his hands Karma coming back to bit him Nathan was quite happy with the arrangement.
"Alright, although I'm questioning where that silent guy went he was following me around a while ago." "Meh whatever" Nathan sifted through a box and found forty eight rounds for a 44. pistol slipping them into his pack he continued searching with Henry "Where'd you get the armor?" nathan asked with a bored tone, he wasn't truly interested but wanted something to keep the oppressive tomb like silence of this place away.

It had found one of the young hunting It's prey blood it may have been but It had never had brothers before and if they continued to hunt the outsiders that would be the way it stayed
walking into an office with a large metal object in the center It found one of the outsiders next to a bug poking it once gave no reaction It pressed harder and still nothing, this one was gone and It had not been the one to do it.
Stalking off to hunt down the taker of prey feeling it more important then killing the outsiders.
