Starr felt Demetri's hand grab her pistol and take it away. She couldn't fight him for it. Instead she stormed away from Demetri. She quivered, she had never done anything like that. She let her emotion get in the way of her job, and she did something she didn't want to do. She sat in a chair and reflected on what she had done. Roy was an evil man and she hated him, but he didn't deserve what she had done.

Mark looked at Roy's body and kicked it in the head while saying, "Bastard. I hope you burn in hell." He then said to Det, "Good job my little friend, you've earned yourself a treat." Mark bent down and fed Det some leaves he'd found in the jungle." Mark then said to Dimitri, "Well that's one competitor marked off, now to find the G.E.C.K. What's the plan?"

Demetri sighed, they had killed Roy, even though he was evil, but he had kept the place, not just the tower, but the city in order, it ran well enough. Demetri stared out the window, "Guess so," Demetri agreed. Demetri walked past Mark, "Give us a sec to get moving," Demetri told him, "Just need to sort one thing out."

Demetri went to where Starr was and stood in the door way of the room she was in, "Why?" Demetri asked her, "Why not simply shoot him? No one should have to suffer before they die." Demetri looked at Starr, he knew that she was held hostage, but that didn't account for what she did.

"I just let all my frustration out, he made me betray my friends, he was going to keep me as a prisoner, and he was going to kill us all. I'm sorry Demetri," she said quietly.

Demetri nodded, "This worlds a harsh place," Demetri said, "Just don't let it get to you." Demetri walked over and crouched down maing himself eye level with Starr, "Cheer up though," Demetri told her, "We'll get the G.E.C.K then ALL of us will go home." Demetri stressed the all bit, he now made a promise to himself get everyone, Starr, Mark, and Tom, back to the capital wasteland, and he intended to keep it.

Mark stayed out of the conversation, feeling that this was between them alone. He then said, "We should get out of here before the guards show up."

Henry knew that Tom wouldn't let him go so Henry feigned death on the ground and spoke quietly on the radio " Everybody stay behind cover we have a sniper by in the tower, he's by the hole in the wall," Henry called on one of his men to take Tom out "Aim to disable or disarm him, but if need be kill him," Henry watched as the soldier nodded and fired the rifle. Henry wasn't sure if it got Tom but right after the shot Henry ran towards the nearest cover and called once again for Nathan "Nathan! Meet us by the parking lot! The tribals seem to be losing!"

"Yeah, I don't want to interrupt our sappy time, but we need to leave. Now," Starr said.

She got up and found that the rest of the staircase was intact. Starr motioned for the rest to follow.

Mark said, "Yeah, let's go." He then followed Starr down the stairs.

Hearing the call from Henry Nathan turned from where he was headed and rushed in that direction stabbing three unaware guards with his spoon on the way and netting himself a frag grenade and a Chinese pistol before reaching the outskirts of where Henry had mentioned. The tribals were losing badly most of them lay dead, truth be told most of the swamp dwellers had at least two tower dweller bodies near their cooling corpses but they were still losing.
taking a position against a tree Nathan took shots at the tower dwellers when he could, waiting for Henry to reach the place and get out of here. Nathan mourned the loss of his plasma pistol as he only had ten shotgun shells and whatever remained of the clip in the Chinese pistol before he would have to go at those people hammer and axe.

It dug, the infernal outsiders had denied It the pleasure of killing the usurper, the Man lay cooling on the ground blood seeping around him.
then to add to it even the world wished to fight It half of the structure It was in had dropped and trapped It only just recently escaping, setting all sensors on full alert It began to hunt again.
The Heart would not be taken, It would not let this happen. branches gave way and vines snapped as It set off in search of the Heart once again.

Demetri nodded and got up, grabbing his shotgun he followed the rest down the stairs.Demetri walked sliently along, looking around constantly, the rooms, the floor, the walls, the creature could strike anywhere. It was now starting to get dark outside, the sun low in the sky, this wpuld make it difficult to see without assistance.

As they walked further into the tower the group stumbled across some of the guards, their bodies mutilated, "Dam thing must of got them," Demetri muttered tohimself and waved the group to keep going.

Mark looked at the bodies and said, "These look fresh, like it happened only a couple of seconds ago." He then heard a screech further up ahead. Mark said, "It's coming this way, hide." He then hid behind some crates.

Demetri ducked behind the crates behind Mark, what would they do if they were found? There is no where to run but back, and the creature will most likely catch them. These thoughts rushed through Demetri's head, he held his shotgun close, ready to lay down fire if needed. Demetri could hear the padding of the creatures feet as it wondered down the hallway.

It smelt something, it's intruders, the ones who have caused it so much pain, it wanted revenge for that, as well as something else. Demetri stayed low, trying to control his breath, hopeing not to be found.

Tom winced as plasma washed across the wall next to him, the heat causing him to close his right eye, closest to the impact. Tom let off another shot, the .32 round hitting right between the bug eyes of the Enclave Power Helmet. He saw Henry run for cover and cursed. Tom didn't see whether or not he had the G.E.C.K., but he had to move, his position had been compromised. Tom switched to his hunting rifle, strapping the rifle to his back where his hunting rifle had been. He followed the path the others had set, making his way into the elevator shaft, climbing down the cables. As he neared the bottom, he heard something. There was something in the hallway. Tom almost immediately what it was, and he figured it was still pissed about its arm. He clung to the cables, both weapons strapped to his back. If It got into the elevator, Tom could only go up, or he'd be eaten.

Mark heard the creature looking for them. He said, "At least we're not as messed up as the last time we fought that thing."

Demetri sat back against the crates, praying under his breath that the creature wouldn't find them. The creature had got closer, Demetri could hear the heavy breathing of the thing as it neared. Demetri shivered in fear, just the thought of what the thing can do affected Demetri.

Demetri felt some liquid fall on his face and run down it. Demetri put his finger to it and looked at it, it was milky in colour and thick to touch. As more fell on Demetri he looked up, seeing the creature face to face, it looked at Demetri and Demetri at it. Demetri swore he could see the creature with some form of grin, even with it's insect like features. Demetri aimed his shotgun upwards and pulled the trigger making the creature rear back in shouck. "Run!" Demetri shouted and pushed himself up from the floor, turning around he fired more shots at the creature, ready to follow the other two once they were up and running.

Mark saw the creature attack Dimitri and thought, "That thing doesn't seem to like loud sounds, we just need to find something loud enough and it'll be kuput.", as he started running from the creature.

Tom heard the gunshot, and Demetri yell, and he knew his assumptions were correct. Tom had seen the audio equipment the natives had used to defend against this thing. Tom had a thought, and took out another mine, the only one he had left. Tom stuck it on the cables, slipping down and reaching the landing. He saw It, and fired a shot at it, in an attempt to get its attention, "Hey, remember me!?" Tom yelled. He then looked to Demetri, yelling once again "Go!" It turned, and Tom thought he saw recognition cross its face. It started towards him. Tom turned back into the shaft, grabbing onto an emergency latter and climbing. There was the sound of screaming metal as the thing tore through part of the wall around the door to the shaft. It jumped onto the cable, climbing quicker than Tom possibly could. However, he was high enough, and It passed over the mine. There was the beeping of the mine, and It looked at the mine, seeming to scoff. It had seen this before. No longer would it do anything. The bottlecap mine exploded, exploding in It's face. No scratch. However, the cable was destroyed, and It fell down the shaft, still holding onto the cable, dissapearing into darkness. 'It'll be back' thought Tom as he climbed back down, ducking into the hallway and after Demetri.

Henry started signaling for the vertibird extraction and knew he had a very slim chance of getting away. He peeked out from the overturned car he was hiding behind and saw that Tom wasn't shooting anymore and Henry made a run to the extraction point. Henry's leg hurt and Henry didn't have any stimpaks left. He turned around and looked at the tower, he felt bad for leaving Demetri behind but he knew that it was the only way. The extraction point however, was blocked by a large melee between tribals and the tower dweller and the only way was to fight his way through.

Demetri followed the others after they had got up and ran. Demetri thought he heard something in the distance but didn't look back, worst thing you could do he thought. Up ahead he could see a set of double doors, "Go into there," Demetri told them. Following Demetri was about to close tthe doors and saw Tom, allowing him in. Demetri closed the doors and was going to make a makeshift barricade, but looking around he could see the room was rather featureless.

It had a desk at one end with a terminal and what looked to be some pencils and paper covering it. Demetri looked around before finally setting down at the terminal, after reading through some documents, "I think this was Roy's office," Demetri told them, "And he left his terminal logged in, hopefully we can pull up a schemetics of the place."

Mark said, "Alright, let's look at this terminal." He ran over to the terminal and looked at the schematics for the entire building.

Demetri looked over Mark's shoulder as the plans were brought up, "Seems to be mainly a twist of corridors and rooms," Demetri said, looking closer at the floor they were on, "Look there," Demetri told Mark and pointed to the room they were in. "This room is bigger then it seems," Demetri muttered, going to the back wall Demetri started to knock against the wall/ After a while Demetri stopped and looked at it for a moment, "Something behind this wall," Demetri told the rest, "Mark, see if there is a way to open it up from there, I'll look around here."

Mark started looking in the bookcases and under the desks unitl he found a button under a desk. He pressed it, but nothing happened. Mark then said to Dimitri, "There must be switch somewhere around here, and we probably have to press it at the same time, like it's some old holomovie."

Demetri nodded, looking against wall he found a loose panel, "Think I found it," Demetri said, "Okay on the count of three. One, two, three." Both Demetri and Mark pressed the buttons they had found and they were gifted with the sounds of gears moving behind the wall. Demetri stepped back and looked at where he believe the door to open.

As the door slid across Demetri looked into the room, "Bloody hell," Demetri said, he looked into the room, the room was full of weapons, enough to equip a small army, "How he gods name did he gather all this?" Demetri asked. Walking in he could see most of it was old 20th century weapons.
