Mark looked around and noticed that there were no vents big enough for them to crawl through. He said, "So this is it, huh? We come so far only to have the prize snatched from under us." Mark then punched the wall in anger. He looked at his hand and noticed it was bleeding, but he didn't care. Mark then thought about the things he hadn't seen, such as the rest of this state, or even places like the Pitt or Point Lookout, though the former was remeniscint of hell and the latter was creepy by all accounts. Mark said, "For what its worth, despite the many brushes with death I've experienced since I got here, I enjoyed travelling with you guys. We made a great team."

Henry walked cautiously, he knew that the creature was nearby and that the large arsenal of destruction would not be enough. The Enclave had no weapons capable of killing it once and for all so he had to use his brains and formulate a trap to take it down. Henry went to the dining hall and placed down the Gammon grenades as well as placing a mininuke down. He tied the bundle all together and inspected his creation. It would be enough to seriously hurt it. He mounted the explosive in a corridor and set up the fuse. He would have Nathan lure it out of hiding and lead it into the corridor. Then he would detonate the explosives and hurt the monster. Then his men would follow up and catch it in a weighted steel net where they would shoot it until it died permanently. "Ok everyone get ready!" He handed Nathan a loudspeaker he found in the vertibird. " Once you get its attention run as fast as you can!"

Nathan lowered the speaker for a moment before a dull thump sounded in the air.
"It's not after us right now," Nathan looked up and saw the creature riding the vertibird to the ground "It's after the GECK."
hitting the ground with a meteoric boom the creature moved slowly armored hide hissing in the sun as heat dissipated and there hooked around one of the massive claws was the GECK.
with a rattling scream of battle lust the creature rushed in Nathan's direction the loudspeaker long forgotten.
Nathan turned to Henry "We're in deep [censored] arn't we?"

It moved preparing to slice these Men into bloody meat
It could not damage the Heart though, so for now it would do so with only it's left claw.

Starr was about to give up hope completely. She stuck her hands in her pockets. She felt the weight of something, her Glock 26! The pistol was small enough to not be noticed when they were put in the cell. She smiled a little and began formulating a plan.

"Demetri, get the guard over here, I've got a plan!" she whispered excitedly.

She stood up and waited for Demetri.

Henry was absolutely stunned, without the vertibird he could not get home. Even worse without the GECK there was no hope. "We have to get the GECK back!" Henry disarmed his trap and took the bomb then ran back to the jail where they would have a better chance of making a stand. When he got there he heard the creature ripping through the corridors behind him. Henry ran into the jail room to tell the guards that they had a bigger threat only to see his guard walking towards the cell. "Hold it! We need you out front! Lets go!" The guard turned around and walked off to the front. henry turned to Demetri and said "The creature is out there! You better hope we win or else you'll be sitting ducks here in the cell." He went back outside to seethe wall blow open and the creature jump out and decapitate the soldier standing inches away from Nathan. Henry grabbed his makeshift bomb and threw it right into the mouth of the creature just as it was screeching at Nathan." FIRE IN THE HOLE!" Henry grabbed Nathan and jumped into the jail room for the explosion that would almost certainly damage the structural integrity of the tower.

Demetri started to bang on the door again, his life was screwed it seems, they were going to die sooner or later it seems. Demetri cursed under is breath and went back to sitting on the floor, lost in his regrets again.

Only one thing was registering in Henry's mind at the moment. WE ARE SCREWED! Then the explosion came. It was a sudden, yet massive explosion that ripped apart the creature and destroyed everything around it. Henry knew that the pressure wave may just kill them all but miraculously he didn't die! Henry got up and looked around, checking his vitals. The door to the cell was sheared off and when Henry turned around he was shocked to see air. it was a 7 story drop and Henry knew that the Tower was on the verge of collapsing. He thought he could feel it leaning over already. Henry' armor was surprisingly intact and he only suffered minor bruising. Looking at the cell he saw Demetri standing up to make a run for it. "The tower is going to collapse and I fear without the GECK none of us will get what we want." So resigned himself, he had done so much yet the GECK was always somehow out of reach. Yet Henry heard a slight sound one floor beneath him. stepping to the edge to look down he saw it. The creature was still alive! The creature was weak, but it could recover and no one would ever be able to beat it. The wings were gone and a large hole was in its stomach yet it could regenerate in hours. Henry had only one choice, fight. So without taking a second glance at Demetri or Nathan he took out his ripper and jumped.

Demetri looked down as Henry jumped, tat wasn't going to work, Demetri already thought he could see the flesh stitching it' self back to together. Demetri looked for where they stockpiled their weapons, finding it stashed in an off room he picked up what he needed. The bazooka, he grabbed the last few rockets and ran down to the next level.

Demetri found a window with a balcony, he rammed the bazooka through the window shatter it, looking up Demetri could see Henry hanging on for dear life, swing his weapon at it, trying to cut through the thick carapace or flesh where ever he could. Demetri prepared himself, he aimed up at the creature, looking down the crosshairs, Demetri put pressure on the trigger slowly. Demetri hesitated, he couldn't fire, not yet, but what made him stop. Demetri would only kill a member of the enclave, one less of them around was a favor to the world, "So why am I holding back?" Demetri asked himself.

Mark followed Dimitri to where they had stashed their weapons. Mark noticed the Gammon grenades were missing and said, "Damn it, that bastard must've stolen them while I was asleep." He then looked on as Henry was holding on for dear life while trying to kill the creature, whose stomach was blown open. Mark said to Dimitri, "Since its weakened, do you think that a sniper round between the eyes could do the job?"

"Doubt it," Demetri said, "What have we done to it in the past?" Demetri looked up, "We've blown it's head off and tried to damage it's nervous system, set it on fire, and now blown it part." Demetri sighed, lowering the bazooka, "The only way to kill it, is to destroy in entirerly." Demetri looked down to the floor, "This is our best bet," Demetri said tapping the bazooka, "Though a large nuke would most likely be the only sure fire way."

Demetri stood up, "We could always leave them, forfiet the pay and get to safety," Demetri said to Mark, not sure if he would agree or not. Demetri himself did not actually like the idea, not because of losing the pay, but breaking a contract and leaving someone to die horribly.

Mark said, "[censored] that, death before dishonor. What do you think about trying to distract it?"

Seeing that Henry was charging the weakened creature Nathan pulled his 44. rifle , which he had kept a death grip on since gaining the thing, and started shooting at the portions of the thing that had cracks.
The fact that the explosion of a mini-nuke had only blown up a quarter of the thing was a testament to the strength of this beast. the fact that it was making to escape was a testament to the things intelligence, too bad that it was going about that slowly. Nathan hoped that the Henry could disable the thing before it reached a ledge.

The Heart was not as important as living.

Henry blocked a swing from the creature and jumped to the side where he stabbed the ripper into its open wound and revved it up. The chunks of flesh sprayed all over him yet Henry kept pushing deeping and having the creature cry out as he got closer and closer to its other internal organs. Henry was then hit by a claw that was going crazy and he fell backward allowing it to continue trying to escape. He knew that the monstrosity could not escape, lest it become more powerful so he stuck out again. This time he aimed to saw off the legs, the ripper was halted by its thick hide and Henry pressed down until it got through. The blood of the beast spilled out into the ground and made it slippery as Henry kept striking again and again .Finally, it seemed like he was on the verge of killing it when the beast sidestepped a strike and Henry fell off the ledge. He franticly tried to hang on to a handhold and caught on with only one hand hanging on to the ledge. The beast was almost beaten yet it was already healing. He had failed, was this how it would end? As beast raised its last remaining claw to deal the killing blow and escape Henry saw the GECK in the corner where it had put it down . it was meant to create life, yet it was the cause of the death of hundreds Henry closed his eyes and shouted in a desperate gamble "Demetri, shoot it with the bazooka!"

Starr walked out of the cell slowly. She smiled the tables had turned, and they were free. She put a hand on Demetri's bazooka and shook her head.

"It won't work. I have an idea though. We need to collapse the building on this thing," Starr said, "I can rig the bazooka shells and other things we have to blow out the supports, I'll just need ten minutes."

She waited for Demetri's reply, it was a risky move, but there wasn't much of a chance to kill the creature.

OOC: can be changed if necessary. I did just toss a grenade that liquefies flesh into a creature with flesh exposed so plausible that more damage could be dealt.
Nathan pulled one of his plasma grenades and tossed it at the creature before rushing over to keep his meal ticket from falling to a quick death.
The grenade seared the things exposed flesh but it was not enough, with one punch drunk movement the creature dropped off the side of the building before lodging two of its legs and both claws in the wall several stories down, this served to only further destabilize the tower as the creature wild movements shattered the remains of a supporting column.

extending all the limbs that It felt could take the impact It knifed into the stone of the tower

Demetri halted, the thought of dropping the building on it had come to mind, but he threw it out, but now anything was worth a shot. "Okay," Demetri agreed, he lowered the bazooka again and pulled the rocket that was in it out and gave it and the other two to Starr. "Careful, make sure the fuse is long enough, none of us want to be in here when they go off."

Starr took the two rounds and put them in her pack, along with the one already in there. She looked around at the destruction one more time. The Creature had fallen off the building, but it would be back. Starr looked at two dead Enclave soldiers, she pulled the helmets off of them. Then she tore the radio unit out of them and handed one to Demetri.

"Let me know when you're ready with this," she said, taking the other and putting it in her ear.

"Testing," Starr said into the headset.

Demetri gave her a thumbs up and she took off towards the stairs. When she got to them she noticed that there was a drop towards the next flight, and it was a far leap to it. Henry was thorough with the C4. Starr swallowed and got ready to jump. She ran and pushed off the ground, she felt her feet leave the ground and everything slow down. She didn't dare look down, nor did she have time. She hit the flight with a thud. She wrapped her arms around the stairs and pulled herself up. As she walked down the stairs she heard them creak. The stairs weren't going to hold out for much longer, Starr began running down the stairs as fast as she could control.

Henry would have fallen to his death already were it not for the motorized joints in the power armor. He quickly hauled himself over when Nathan distracted it. He looked at the creature and smiled, the tables had turned on it. Henry said to Nathan "get the GECK and hand me the rest of the plasma grenades, I'll take care of it." Henry took the plasma grenades then kept throwing one after another into its face. Soon Henry had the creature blinded and at the verge of death. "Nathan We've almost got him ! But I ran out of grenades"- Henry was interrupted by the tower shaking and he felt himself leaning over to one end. "We have finish it fast! The tower might not hold out for very much longer!"

Starr panted as she reached the bottom of the stairs. She was in the basemant now, and surprisingly the tower was all but empty. Roy's guards had taken off a while ago, and Starr wasn't going to encounter any problems. She walked up to a support. It didn't look like it would take much for it to break. Starr took out a bazooka round and started arming it for a remote detonation. After a minute it was ready, Starr pulled some tape from her pack and stuck it to the support. Starr did the same to two more supports. It took her three more minutes to prepare the other two. She clapped her hands together and admired her work. She just needed a remote to detonate them with. The radio would work fine, but she would lose contact with the others.

She clicked down the button and began, "Demetri, I'm ready whenever you are, but I need to use the radio as a detonator. I won't do it till you're ready."

She waited for a response, hoping that the message would get to him.

Demetri listened, looking at the creature as it climbed around, "Fine," Demetri replied, "But I want you to leave as soon as you're ready, meet you at the front doors." Demetri watched the creature give a burst of energy as it smashed through the concrete into the building, "Oh [censored]!" Demetri yelled, everyone hearing him as the creature swung it's claw at Demetri.

Demetri ducked, "Do it quickly," Demetri told Starr, "I'll get the people out, though we have no location of Tom at the moment." Demetri ducked as the creature swung it's claw again, "Alright, you know what to do! Everyone down and out now!"

Mark saw Dimitri and Starr set up the explosives and started shooting the creature to distract it once it came in.

"Okay... Demetri... Be careful," Starr said into the radio before pulling it apart.

She was shaking a little. She put the receiver piece into the bomb she had made. The next time she clicked the talk button she would be detonating the bomb, hopefully with her friends next to her.

She turned and began walking up the stairs until she reached the front doors. The streets were empty too. Everyone must have fled when the creature showed up. There were a few chairs that hadn't been destroyed, but Starr was to nervous to take a seat. Instead she began pacing the room nervously. She wanted to get out of Orlando so badly. She didn't know if she was going to take more jobs if she got back. It was all to much for her. Finally she sat down, as she was feeling dizzy. She began fixing her hair to take her mind off things.

"Hurry up guys," she said outloud.

Demetri pulled out his revovler and shot a few shots into the head of the creature, "Lets go," Demetri said, "Starr is about to bring the house down." Demetri pulled Mark away, "We'll just have to hope Tom gets his own way out." Demetri ran down the corridor, hearing the thrashing of the creature in the background. Demetri found a lift at the end, pulling the doors open he looked down the shaft, "Quickest way, we'll use the ladder, you first."

Mark said, "Well if you insist...", and climbed down the ladder. Once he was safe Mark yelled to Dimitri, "Now come on before the building collaspes!"

"Alright, be done in a sec," Demetri shouted down, "You two might want to leave now! This building won't be here much longer!" Demetri holstered his pistol and went down the ladder, Demetri was leaving behind the G.E.C.K, too much blood had been spilt because of it, and it deserved to be buried if possible. After Demetri got down to the bottem eh looked up the shaft, "Okay, lets get out of here," Demetri said, turning to the radio, "Okay, we are at the bottem and about to leave, meet you out here."
