"It may just be after us," Demetri said, "We haven't exactly been an easy target, we may of pissed it off." Demetri looked out into the corridor, "To look back on things, it was most likely best to ask where Starr could be," Demetri added. He moved out slowly, prepareing to move out, "Check every room, I'll take left, Mark you right, Tom keep a watch for guards," Demetri ordered, he hoped they would get out of this alive, it didn't look like it would be easy.

Mark nodded at Dimitri and started looking in the doors to the right. He thought, "I just hope we find Starr before the creature does." He then said to Dimitry, "This creature has been tailing us for so long, I wonder why it hasn't died of starvation yet?"

Tom held his position by the door, using a 'borrowed' hunting rifle with his knife tied to the end to act as a bayonet. His position gave him a good view of the hallway as he awaited for Demetri and Mark to head out. Tom would cover the rear as they checked the rooms. Tom knew the creature wouldn't give up on them. It had already invested too much of its time to be dissapointed. He also knew that the thing would not be happy about Tom blowing its arm off. He had assumed it was a juevenile at the time, but he had been wrong. A guard came out of a door on the left side of the hallway, seeming to look around for the other two before stepping in the goo of his comrade. "One guard in the hallway," said Tom, checking the rifle he held and preparing to push the door open and drop the guard "When your ready to go, give me the go"

Mark said, "Do it, quick and easy."

Tom turned the knob/pulled the handle slowly enough not to make a sound, and just enough to get the latch free of the hinges. He waited as the guard inspected the goo and the blood on the walls, securing his rifle against his left shoulder, allowing him to aim accurately in a short amount of time. As the guard stood and turned his chest in his direction, Tom pushed the door open and fired. The bullet took the guard in center of mass, bowling him over. He died shortly after hitting the ground. Tom pushed the door open more, waving his hand down the hall, indicating for Demetri and Mark to start checking.

Demetri cursed, they had finally checked every room on this floor, with not even a hint of where she could be. "Mark! Tom!" Demetri shouted to them, "Next floor, I don't fancy it, but we may have to search floor to floor." Demetri waited by the stairs for the two to catch up before going down and checking the next floor.

Tom brought up the rear once again as they made their way up the stairs to the next floor. He hoped they would find Starr before It or Roy found them. As they reached the next landing, Tom quickened his pace, drawing ahead of the two and entering the hallway, pluging a pair of guards and moitioning for his friends to start checking the rooms.

Mark was checking the rooms when he heard a guard coming. Mark said quietly to Tom and Dimitri, "Let's get the jump on him and interrogate him to see if he know's Starr's location." He then had Det crawl over to the guard to serve as a distraction.

Demetri shook his head, "No, it may seem strange if too many go missing," Demetri said, making sure neither of the other two attack, "I just had a thought, the suite we were taken to the first time we came here, she maybe there." Demetri watched the guard get distracted by the animal watched as the just nudged it away with his foot before walking on. "Come on, I think it was above the floor we were just on." Demetri led the way up, not knowing if his hunch was correct.

Mark said, "Alright then, let's go." He then followed Dimitri up the stairs to the suites.

Going into the suite Demetri looked round, no sign of anything. Demetri started to check the connecting rooms, he looked in each one, being empty, though after checking four of them he found one locked. Demetri couldn't hear anything from inside, but whay keep it locked. Aimming the shotgun he had grabbed, Demetri aimed at the top hinge and fired, and then the nest hinge. Demetri kicked the door in finishing his breaching of the door. Looking in, he found Starr outcold on the bed, "I wonder why he locked her up?"

Mark said, "Or why she's knocked out cold? She'll probably reveal why once she comes to." Mark noticed Starr looked like she'd been drugged, as it looked like she hadn't been brought here on her own power.

"Well for now, lets go," Demetri said, hopeing to get moving before all hell breaks loose around them. Demetri picked Starr up and put her over his shoulder, "Now the G.E.C.K," Demetri said,"And then we are leaving." Demetri led the way, he decided it was best to use the stairs, even though it will add time, it was the safer route.

Mark heard footsteps from further down the cooridor and said, "Let's hurry up, it appears we have company." He then broke into a sprint down the stairs.

Henry ran and punched Roy in the face before grabbing the GECK from his hands. Bullets were hitting his armor and Henry was glad that none got through. He ran around a corner only to find the same monster that had impaled him coming fast. It must have thought the holder of the GECK more important. Henry ran as fast as he could but the Elder XM-800 was catching up fast. He decided the the GECK was not worth his life so Henry threw it into the hands of a surprised guard as he rounded the corner. It bought him some time as he ran down the corridor an he saw Mark running down the stairs away from him. Henry set down some c4 charges at the stairs and prepared to detonate it as the creature walked by it. Hopefully he could go back and get the GECK later.

Demetri followed down with Starr as quickly as possible, he couldn't go to fast because he was handicapped by Starr on his shoulder. Demetri looked up ahead and thought he saw a sign of the creature, putting his hand on Mark's shoulder to stop him, quietly he said, "Come back, trouble up ahead." Demetri went into a nearby room, "Think there is another way down?"

Starr's vision was blurry, but it was coming back. She could see she was in a closet of some sort, being supported on someone's shoulder.

Where am I? Starr thought.

She felt her body being rolled onto the floor of the room. She heard some people in a hurried conversation. Most of it she couldn't understand, but the voices sounded familiar.

Mark said, "There might be another staircase we ould use, but those might be swarming with guards, and you can't exactly fight with Starr in your arms."

Demetri nodded in agreement, "Suppose we best have a look around," Demetri said. Demetri crouched down to pick Starr and had a small smile on his face, "I may not have to carry her," Demetri said, "She looks slightly out of it. Starr you alright?"

Starr's hearing became more acute every second. Things were becoming clearer and soon she was able to sit up.

She heard Demetri's voice and responded sarcastically, "I'm just dandy, how are you?"

Starr stood up, wobbling in the heels she was still wearing. She was missing the business coat of her outfit too. She thought the idea of fighting in a skirt would be quite odd. Soon she longed for her old armor. Then she noticed her small pistol was missing too, she looked around for a weapon but found nothing. Starr would need a weapon soon.

"Why'd you come get me? Why didn't you go look for the GECK?" Starr asked the group.

"Annoyed," Demetri replied to the first question, "You run off with the G.E.C.K and brought it here, we trusted you, you could of atleast trusted us." Demetri looked down at Starr, he wasn't that upset about her taking the G.E.C.K, "Why didn't you tell us about the wristband? We who fought along side you for about a week now."

Demetri sighed, "And the reason we got you is because that creature is here," Demetri told her, "And this is a warzone, some of the tribals have attacked the building."

"I didn't think you guys would trust me if I told you, and I was planning to bring it back after I'd gotten the thing off my arm," Starr answered dryly.

Starr began pacing in the small room, her balance returning.

"So what do you think we should do captain," Starr said to Demetri, "Blow out the floor? Find the GECK?"

Starr began looking for a makeshift weapon she could use. After searching some shelves she concluded that there wasn't a weapon in the room. She'd have to fight unarmed for now. Starr didn't mind since most of the fighting would be close quarters anyway.

Demetri thought for a moment, "Blow out the floor?" Demetri asked himself, "Thats brilliant Starr, just given me an idea." Demetri started to pace the room, the building was old so there may be weak floorboards underneath, he put pressure on different parts of the floor. Demetri smiled after he found a very weak spot, "Mark come and help me with this filling cabinet," Demetri told him, he was planning on dropping it on to the floor and break through.

Mark said, "After all we've been through over the past week, saving eachother's asses from hostile fauna on a regular basis, why wouldn't we trust you or you us? I'm guessing by the fact that we found you drugged, you and Roy had some sort of disagreement, and he was probably planning on having his way with you once we were out of the picture, am I correct?" He then helped Demetri lift the filing cabinet and drop it through the floor, leaving a hole for them to jump through.

"Ha, thought that may work," Demetri said, "Doubt we could keep doing it though, the noise may attract unwanted attention." Demetri knelt down and looked down the hole, the filing cabinet had landed on a bed, the bed had buckled under the sudden weight it gain and would give someone a very bad back if they layed upon.
