Mark said, "I've heard your offer, and I'm not interested. The Enclave are xenophobic murderers and I'd trust a Raider to kill me more than I'd expect you to uphold your end of the bargain." He had his own Plasma Rifle pointed right at them.

The hostile reaction he received from the people wasn't surprising but the talon merc sounded interested. He turned to the man holding a gun to his head " I don't think you want to do that" he said pushing the gun down. " What if I told you that the Enclave needs the GECK? For a while now we've been researching a way to get rid of mutation and we've think we're on the verge of a breakthrough, all we need is another GECK!" If you help us succeed everything can be as they were before the bombs dropped, you could rely on being able to safely go to sleep without double checking your guns, with it we can bring back those who have been exposed to radiation!" Henry turned to Nathan "Help me and you'll be able to be a human again, we've actually worked together with the doctor at underworld and we are certain that it can be done now.Let go of your old hatred and together with the help of this we can effectively double the non-mutated population and then we would be able to create America again. So what do you say? I can promise you I'm not lying." Getting the people to trust the enclave was not easy but with the new leadership of Colonel Autumn, the enclave was to treat the waste landers with kindness in order to lead up to the completion of the anti-mutagen. Perhaps the employer wished to hinder this?

Life lately has been strange for Tom. Full of him breaking his own status qos (qoas, qous?). First, he was traveling with a group, then he didn't shot Enclave soldiers on sight, after that he voiced his own opions, and now he let Henry move his shotgun away without Tom slamming his fist into the man's face. Tom attributed it to what he had said. A life without the fear of this being the day you get filled full of holes, or eaten, or succumbing to radiation. However, the Enclave is full of liars and murderers, so Tom didn't beleive him. Tom also didn't entirely beleive the mysterious representatives of the mysterious employer of theirs. 'Guess we'll just wait and see' he thought 'A GECK for caps, or for the possibility of a new world full of life. Guess we'll see if this group still has their morals...'

Demetri almost stumbled as the locomotive halted at the platform, turning to the enclave soldiers and storming over, "Now, why should we believe what you say?" demetri asked, "If you are telling the truth, then what, make us fear you, obey you? It's been going on to long." Demetri sighed, "You're a bunch of liars and murderers, send people off you don't like to hope that get killed, or just those who don't meet your standards."

Demetri had no idea why he had that outburst, his past was itching at the back of his mind, just want to burst forward, shaking his head he looked out the window and saw a group of workers looking at the locomotive, trying to seee if they could find some problems.

OOC: I think I'll start here if thats ok with you Blackmane.

IC

Jon looked up at a train that had suddenly stopped. Others looked up, but continued on with their work. Jon was curious about what the train was doing here, but it didn't look like a friendly train. He continued doing his work, keeping a quick eye on the train.

Nathan looked at the officer of enclave and sighed in disgust anger rising at being pulled into this.
"I can understand your offer but do you not understand your situation right now?"
Gods these idiots were so blind.
"You are on a train commanded by someone who if these turrets indicate anything is not exactly friendly to your cause or at the least knows how others feel about you."
Why did they not notice this sort of thing.
"What these machines popping out of the walls mean is that we are being monitored."
Seriously were the Boogeymen of the waste this dumb?
"so if you actually do get somewhere with this what do you expect to gain on a train filled with enough mechanical death machines to rip you to shreds in seconds."
He could feel peoples eye on him, why oh why had Nathan decided to speak up? Oh right the smoothskin Xenophobe had tried to sway him.
"this is neither the time nor the place for your message if you want to recruit the humans go right ahead, but not here all that will get you is a face full of buckshot."
Nathans point was made as the turret swung over and began to track the Enclave man following his outburst.
"This train seems to be enforcing a ceasefire so as I said before take a %$#*ing seat somewhere and make nice with the others, when we get to florida we can all duke it out." Nathan paused to allow himself a breath
" until then I doubt anyone wants to be made into ground brahmin so go find a place to sit all your doing now is making more enemies then you need."
Nathan sighed bitterly
"I don't want a bloodbath started on this train so please just be civil."
Nathan sighed again but knew that if he did not start no one else would, rising out of his seat Nathan walked over to the enclave man and extended his arm offering him a handshake
"My name is Nathan and while I do not like your cause I know better then to judge you by that, Also know that if you consider me a lesser being because I am a Ghoul again you will wake up with my combat knife lodged in your spine."
Nathan's hand remained extended waiting for a response from the man.

Henry was getting sidetracked "Look all I'm asking for is that we for together for now,we'll have much better chance success" Henry DID notice the turrets but did his best to ignore it. Henry sat down and said "those turrets will only fire if someone shoots their gun so unless you decide to start shooting(which I doubt ) is an empty threat. I won't stab you in the back, you can be sure of that, you may think that the enclave is bad but I assure you we only mean to do good now." Henry was seriously starting to think that the wastelanders were as crazy as they say. In a softer voice Henry said "I just want to help so are you going to accept it, this is my final offer" He must have seriously given them the wrong message somehow, Nathan thought that he wanted to actually start a fight! Henry's intentions were to simply shift their goal so that after the job was done give it to him and not the employer. Henry thought note to self: the wastelanders have strong prejudices and will take even a peaceful message and take it as a sign of hostility. Must find a way to earn their trust

OOC I'm starting to get tired of having to take hostility from the other characters, can you guys just let my char sit down now?

Demetri just looked at the enclave soldiers, without a word he walked off the train onto the platform, to keep himself occupied he had decided to help a worker move some heavy crates, he doesn't trust, he will possibly never trust them, not again anyway... Demetri stopped for a second and looked up at the dim lighting they were using, "What mess have I got myself into?" he muttered to himself.

Daniel had just woken up, not understanding how he could sleep in these conditions but he saw the soldiers and kept wary, he didn't want to get caught off guard, even though he glorified the Enclave, he still did not trust them and kept his rifle loaded and at the ready. "I wasn't expecting this," he turned to the nearest man, "What excactly is going on?"

"Look..." Starr realized the Enclave captain hadn't formally introduced himself, "Sir, it will be easier for everyone if you and your men disarm. We don't want to start a brawl on this train."

Starr stood up and walked over to one of the Enclave troops, she motioned for him to give her his weapon. He was reluctant, but finally gave it to her. She slipped the power cell out, and slid the gun to the front of the train.

The turret that was trained on that man immediately scanned for a new target, finding one, it trained itself on another Enclave soldier.

"I suggest the rest of your men do the same."

With that Starr walked out into the dimly lit train tunnel with her hatchet attached to her belt.

Grudgingly Henry complied but said " teamwork will be critical to success, the mission would be hard enough even without infighting. If we're going to work together we're going to have to be treated equally as part of the team. this means getting our weapons. The name's Corporal Henry Jones of the 3rd Hazardous Environmental Recon unit" Henry leaned saw the landscape fly by and he made another recording on his journal "8 months after we defeated Liberty Prime and I was getting used to being treated as a hero, guess this just show how little I know about the wasteland." Henry made looked at who he could trust, the mercenary named Starr seemed to be one who they got along with the most and could be trusted. There was a long silence on the train when he heard his stomach growling. Henry took out a field stove and started cooking up some food. Since they were safe on the train he could afford to cook some real food, a nice can of stew packaged by the enclave and 100% rad free. The overpowering smell of food soon filled the entire train and everyone started to munch on their own food, from old biscuits iguana on a stick. After the first real meal Henry had in days he fell into a deep sleep.

OOC: I think that my character has a viable reason to be hostile being a Ghoul and you being in a group that hunts Ghouls. seeing as he has only been a ghoul for a short time (compared to other ghouls) I figure that your character's proposition would sway him, wanting to be human and all. so here is my characters decision, hopefully it is rationalized enough.
also it really ought to be decided WHEN this is Post- or Pre- Lone Wanderer, Pitt, Broken Steel, Op Anchorage (assorted quests) it would be nice to know what is going on in the world currently as that would affect people's decisions (regarding the enclave for example.)
I have also got to say that it is a bit odd for all these characters to be ok with ghouls but automatically hate the enclave but then I guess that after playing the vanilla campaign that the Enclave is cast the villain for the most part so it is hard to get past that. While on the other hand the Non-feral Ghouls do not try to murder you violently while playing the game, unless you steal their forks that is.

Nathan considered his options as night fell on the wasteland The smell of real honest to god food started filling the train and his body cried out for the chance of ambrosia, pulling out another cigarette he hoped that the action would dull the ache. The argument previously with that officer had been childish but Nathan could not help it, those people were demons as far as the underworld seemed to think of course then the brotherhood of steel mini-gun maniacs were worse then demons if that was true. Nathan had made ties with a few farms and homesteads dotting the wastes before his ghoulification and had checked up on them once and a while most had gotten taken by slavers a few the enclave had went after a select few, at the very least nathan heard about what happened to the ones the slavers got but the enclave ones were never seen again Nathan was not sure if that was a good or bad thing.
The Enclave was a proverbial blind spot in Nathan's knowledge and all the he knew of them were ghost stories and campfire tales. Most of the reason he had acted as he did was because while he knew the enclave was powerful that group was also outnumbered, the choice to work with the strongest group was instinct in him. Nathan could feel that damned feeling welling up inside him again, it ruined all rationality and could only be quenched by shattering hardship.
He hated when he began to hope ,it made him do very stupid things.

Outside of the enclave man (whom he now knew to be named Henry)'s cabin Nathan felt indecision grip him. It was the dead of night and he had been careful in traveling down here, all of the cabins had been closed as it was the middle of the night and he had seen no one in the hallway. Nathan knew that if he talked with this man and the others discovered it he would be the first to die having both the stigma of being a ghoul and taking this mans bait, he knew it was bait and was aware that if he pursued this he would likely die but damned if it was not the first chance Nathan had been given in nearly a decade of Unlife for a chance at something better.
He knocked softly but knew that the man was a soldier and would likely hear it "It's me, Nathan, the man from earlier" Nathan strained and thought he heard movement in the cabin then quietly added "I know what I said earlier was out of line, I'd like to talk about the offer you gave if it's still open."

((Faceless, you're in, but again try and add your character in as smoothly as possible.))

Demetri soon finished helping with the crates, he could smell the food, and it made him realize, he hadn't eaten anything since the morning he was hired for this contract. Walking onto the train and took a seat at the front, sitting down he took out some salted brahmin meat, already cooked. It was quite tough and he pulled of chunks of it before finally eating it.

Demetri kept his eyes on the enclave hostages, "When has the enclave ever required help outside of yourselves?" Demetri asked with obvious distaste for them.

"They hired Talon Company to clear the capitol bulding of super mutants," Starr said to Demetri, "Not everyone is as bad as Three Dog says."

Starr's stomach growled at her. She quickly went back to her seat and ate some mutfruit she had. After her meal she closed her compartment.

She started thinking to herself again.

The Enclave might be the best option. It certainly is better pay, and probably not much more work. Maybe I'll just ask some questions tonight. Working by myself isn't as great as it sounded when I first started. Part of me wants to be the wind up soldier I was before. I'm good at following orders.

Her thoughts started to get more scattered showing that she needed some rest. She laid down across the seats. She'd just barely closed her eyes when she heard the light shuffle of feet, a knock, and then a low whisper. She couldn't tell who it was, but she wasn't in the mood to find out. She closed her eyes again and drifted into sleep.

"Well, they still seem to be fighting there," Demetri said, "Bloody place is a warzone, hope the pay is good." Demetri was taking quite a sarcastic veiw, watching her leave he went back to watching their hostages. Grabbing the whiskey out his pack he took a quick swig of it, "That hit the spot," Demetri muttered to himself, he also brought out a small bottle of water and drank that, wanted to make sure he had the needed liquids as well.

Thats a slightly more detailed version for you, if you want to get the whole picture you may have to read most of the thread.))
