Different music for when its nighttime..

Something dreary, moody and creepy.

Oblivion nights, walking around the misty ruins outsde of an old fort would have been much more atmospheric without the serene, pleasent countryside tunes.

Music constantly changing would drive me nuts. Time of day, enemies, just walking around. Its just a little annoying IMO

I agree. I want some music that can make you crap your pants if you wander around at night.
I want nighttime to be more dangerous, too.

I'd like different tunes for each different dungeon type, each major city and, yes, night and day.

Nighttime music would be highly appreciated. A dark soundtrack (resembling the speed drawing music) would be brilliant at night, but wouldn't work in daylight.
Yes, yes, yes!

Imo, i would actually like them to remove combat music in its entirety. Its abit lame to know that "Oh, someones going to hit my back soon" When suddenly drums start banging and the whole music gets more intense, and yet i would like to listen to the other game music. Maybe reserve combat music for boss battles and otherwise bigger fights only.

Pleasant country stroll music is no good for fighting a troll. But it should not change until a hit is exchanged or at least until the creature is in your view screen.

I want a relaxing but very eerie music during night, the music should be like a cold wind with evil floating in it, thats the closest thing I can describe the music i want

I couldn't disagree with this more. Personally, I think they use the example set with Fallout: New Vegas and their music system (multilayer and varying location/proximity/context based soundtrack).

As long as the battle themes are not substantialy different as the exploring ones (spoiling the mood) I don′t see many problems with the music. All exploring themes (night or day) should give the player a feel of loneliness/adventure/vulnerability. I would prefer that they add themes that fit every exploring setting instead of making specific ones for dungeon/city/night/fort/outdor etc...

I like this idea a lot :) The change doesn't have to be dramatic, just a shift into something more brooding to help you feel isolated and wary of the shadows...

I agree with this. It seems slightly unfair that the PC can sneak up on NPCs and creatures, but they can't do the reverse. Besides, it's annoying when the combat music starts up because a Mudcrab two leagues away has spotted you and wants a fight, but has no chance of ever actually getting to you (or you finding it...).

A more diverse soundtrack would be much appreciated however. Just going from the Hubdates and the general released material, it seems like they have this well in hand however. For example, the description of the concept art video said that the background music was an example of music from the soundtrack. I think it did anyway. Regional music would be nice though. You can tell a game has good music when you can tell what town or region you're in just by listening to it.

One more vote for night music! But not horror, just eerie/dark. Could be almost humoristic even, although I know most will disagree. Thing is, I dont want a Conan game, else I would go play one.
